Instead of using percent I used fraction one fourth of 360 minutes then added 90 miutes onto 7:30 But I also did it anothet way. X over 360=25 over 100 did some cancellation then cross multiplied and got 90. Then added it to 7:30. Got 9:00
9am. 6 hour shift. Start at 7:30. Did 25% of it. What time is it now. Time for you to stop looking at the clock. LoL. 6 divided by 4 gives you. 1.5 or one hour and a half or 30; minutes. Now add 7:30 plus 1:39 to get 9:00am eastern time LoL. Try one with day light savings time where 1 hour is missing. Then that might be more tricky
Take 6 hours and multiply by 60 for the number of minutes and then divide by 4. Take this number of minutes (90) and add to 7:30 or an hour and a half to get 9am.
super easy no need for complex math or multiple choice. A fifth grader can solve this while throwing a temper tantrum because their mommy said no to them. half a shift would be 3 hours. Half of that would be an hour and a half. Time is 0730 add an hour and 30 minutes you get 0900 hours. (Or for those of you who aren't on a 24hour clock, 9:00 AM)
There is another route, extend the time to 8 hours! Then you have a block of 2 hours, and you can knock the time to 6 hours, and you'll have 1.5 hour blocks! After that its simple addition! Just an alternate route,if you don't have a calculator! Thank you 😇 😊!
I took intermediate maths at 16 , many areas were left uncovered. I worked this out in my head in a couple of minutes. What level is this in the USA? Im now 52butam exploring mathematics from the areas i missed at 16 through to advanced level. I have really sruggled in the past with numeracy and numerrical rreasoning tests. LIke where you have graphs with percenage change etc, you only have a minute per question. Any Advice on how to get up to speed with those?
9 am. 1.5 hours is 25% of 6. 3 is 50% of 6 for a mental math starting point.
At the title card, the answer is c) 9:00 am.
6:00 hours # 0.25 = 1.5 hours, or 1:30.
And an hour-and-a-half past 7:30 is 9:00 am.
7.30am start, 6 hour shift (whole shift (100%) 6 hours, half shift (50%) 3 hours, quarter shift (25%) 1 1/2 hours) therefore 7.30am + 1 1/2 hours equals 9.00am.
C) 9:00
6 hour shift × 25% = 1/4 × 6 = 1 1/2 hrs
1:30 plus 7:30 = 9:00
Hey! At 5:38 John shows a number line!! Yaaaay! 👍😃
I haven’t used most of the algebra I took let alone calculus, but percentages are vital all your life. This was extremely easy.

6 hour shift starting at 7.30am
25% (or 1/4) of 6 hours is 1hr and 30 minutes
So the time would be 9am.

25% is 1/4. 1/4 of 6 is 6/4, or 3/2, so you've done 3 half hours, or 1+1/2 hours. 7+1/2 + 1 + 1/2 = 9, so the answer is, as usual, c.
I've watched at least four of these videos with multiple choice answers and the answer was c for all of them.

No need for a calculator on this one John. Thanks
It’s 9am. If you split the 6 hours into 4 equal parts you get 90 minutes which is an hour and a half.
Not if you don't count the 15 minute coffee break.
Haha, yeah I guess they would have to give break policy info in the question too.
9
25% = 1/4, 1/4 of 6 = 1 1/2, 7.30am/7 1/2 + 1 1/2 = 9 am, I'ld be surprised if an average high school student today could work that out.
Why not divide . 25% = 1/4= 4÷6 = 1 1/2 hr + 7:30 = 9:00
9AM is from taking 25% of 6 in the head.

Let's ask MR. Wolf LoL. Childhood game. "What time is it Mr Wolf" ok I'll figure it out then give you an answer
It might take me the whole day to explain this dimple problem
how did you get that!!!
7:30?plus 1.5 hrs = 9am
C. .25 of 6 is 1.5 hrs
Is this supposed to be hard, 25% of 6 is 1.5 added to 7.5 equals 9 it took me longer to write this, than it did to get the answer.
I think I'm correct with c)9am. First answer was wrong, cuz it wasn't there, so...yea 🎉
9:00
9 am if you have no breaks
This took maybe two seconds, maybe less.
9 a.m. as well
Stop saying ok!
9 am ...11/2 hours from 7:30
9.20
9am.
C) 9:00am
I agree 9 a.m.
B8:00am
Tea break time.
Obviously.
9:00AM
Why you take 16 minutes to explain this simple math. I got the answer through mental calculation in 10 or 12 seconds.

Geez, it's OBVIOUSLY 9:00, but oh my effin GAWD, is there anything more annoying than this guy's goofy inflections, mmmkay?
