Hi Peter, thanks for sharing these great features of Fantastical. I've been using this tool for some time because of one key feature that others don't have (as far as I know): to synchronize with Outlook calendar and update at either side (and this is still a free feature!). I use Outlook for work and Fantastical allows to me see both work and personal schedules in one place. I can choose not to show my personal schedules on Outlook too. Other than this I also like its UI on phone - I can have the calendar view and list of tasks down below the screen at the same time and scroll tasks across days (which I can't do on apple calendar). Btw, I started to use Things 3 to manage my tasks/projects because of your videos :) Currently, I synchronize my Outlook calendar with apple calendar so that the scheduled tasks can be shown on Things and I find this feature so helpful (tried many other tools and none of them give me this feature). So now I'm using Outlook for setting up work schedules, Fantastical for personal schedules, and Things 3 to manage tasks and projects with schedules synched from Outlook (which has both my work and personal schedules). I'm glad after trying for some time I could finally find the right tool for myself :)
Hello , how are you able to sync outlook calender with things3 and fantastical. ? I also wanted to do it. My office laptop i work with outlook and home i use my macbook. Is it possible to sync office outlook calender with personal apple calender ? Please let me know. Thanks !
Long time fantastical user here. I love the app but the fact that they went subscription really lost me. Am still using it but will be looking for a replacement.
Hi Peter, thanks for the great video! What do you think of the Apple Calendar app? I really like it, personally it's much easier to use and more intuitive than Fantastical and Google Calendar. Have you ever used it?
Keep going with the good work, Peter. Find the video great, I just don’t think Fantastical 3 subscription is worth it tho. The apps is already mega expensive and not with enough features to be priced on that much imo. Thank u bro
Cool video. Personally, the only thing I use Fantastical for is on the iPhone, where I use a Siri Shortcut to make events using voice. The difference between this way and the "Siri way" (which is the default iPhone method) is that I can make pauses and think while dictating the event, afterwards it takes you to make any changes you need and it's very accurate, while the Siri Method unless you press and hold the Siri button, you can't make pauses and is harder to correct them afterwards if it has mistakes (which it will!)
I’m sorry, but the company behind Fantastical (Flexibits) is paywall gating features you get as a part of Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook Calendar etc for free. I can’t support a company that thinks this is ok, unfortunately.
I have issues with using fantastical across my iphone and Mac. When subscribing to a calendar via an url i have to seperately subscribe via my phone and via my mac since it will not update across the 2 platforms. Do you have an idea how to change that?
I’m really interested in a calendar that not only keeps track of all my events and calendars, but also GOAL keeping. I want to see my tasks and GOALS right along side my week calendar and all from my phone. Do you know of a system that does this?
Peter Akkies, the way I look at it, Omnifocus is ideally a project management tool while Fantastical is a calendar app. However, they both handle to-do tasks quite well. Is it possible for instance to have to-do tasks in omnifocus reflect in fantastical and/or vice versa?

I was also excited, until I saw they turned ‘subscription’..... No thank you, the application is not that amazing....
yes no more subscription
How can you add events to fantastical from a different app?
Awesome video and video format! I learned quite a bit about the features of Fantastical!
Great intro. I've been looking for something like this.
unfortunately, I'm not able to add my work email account to Fantastical via CalDAV protocol.
Amazingly helpful, thank you for posting!

Just revisiting this video! Could Fantastical replace my task manager for sorting home/personal routines? 🤔
That’s what I’m debating on.
I want something that it’s simple and I can put everything.
Can you show Things3 and Fantastical3 in your daily flow ? because regarding Task Management you can use both; right ?
The mini free course for choosing the right TM is not working. I tried many times but in vain.
Is there any other way to have it!??
Hey Suzan, can you send me an email at peter@peterakkies.net, describing what’s not working? Thank you.
I was expecting to be sold on this but it’s so underwhelming lol
same lol

What does that mean? "paywall gating features,"

Not sure why that is, Clauds. But the Flexibits support team should be able to help you out.
thought I would like this, but not sure if it has a web browser view and if it doesn't I won't be able to use it.
The subscription model really sucks though. I’d rather pay a high price up front.
it would have been better if it has a web app interface. I dont like downloading and installing anything on my computer.

Amazing Marvin! I just did a video review of it.
@@PeterAkkies thanks, I’ll check it out!
how did you get the week view to show so tightly? mine is 2x as big :(
There’s a setting somewhere in the preferences for how many hours you want to be able to see at the same time. That’s probably it.
Features I noted:
- Interesting calendars
- Smart event merging
- Weather
- Scale
- Multiple proposed times
Nope. sneaky company shoves subscription version up our computerholes with no way to reinstall the previous version I paid for.
Iman Alius right one with that description. Moved on to Moleskine and use GQueues linked to my Google calandar
Пацан, спасибо за видео оно хорошее но оно слишком длинное, покороче в будущем, спасибо заранее - Миша
Great video. Question..is it possible to have workflows in OmniFocus intergrated into fantacstucal calendar? and/or vice versa
Hey Eric, what exactly would you be hoping to do with the two apps?
Peter Akkies, the way I look at it, Omnifocus is ideally a project management tool while Fantastical is a calendar app. However, they both handle to-do tasks quite well. Is it possible for instance to have to-do tasks in omnifocus reflect in fantastical and/or vice versa?
Is he intentionally overusing the word fantastic!
I dunno, am I? 🤪
You can also go to f1calendar.com to subscribe to those things...
Underwhelming considering the hefty price.
Apple only.. meh....
Am I the only one who hates Fantastical! It looks so messy and lacks simplicity.
You need to get to the point faster
