I agree so much Jason feels like a filler chapter as a character. I get his rebellious streak (e.g like trying to change the twelve to the first) but we only get that verbally. I feel Jason could've been so much better if we saw more flashback of his time at Camp Jupiter. And I personally agreee with your opinons on Piper nothing to say here Also agree with your opinons on Leo
Hii, there :))) glad to see you agree with my opinions! Also that note you said about Jason's 'rebellious streaks'- I forgot to include that in the video lol but still I agree. Those 'rebellious' moments aren't even expounded on in the later books and especially with how Jason acts, it's pretty hard to picture him do that because he seems like such a rule oriented and serious person majority of the time brought up by the training he endured with Lupa. But overall, thanks for sharing!
I think that the slower pace of the book could've be intentional, because I think that the Heroes of Olympus was supposed to be 7 or 8 book long. Each book has a "focus character", TLH has Jason TSON has Percy. TMOA has Annabeth. So I think that each book would have one of the seven as a focus character. This would turn Hoo into a grand epic which the series already feels like and with 7 or 8 books instead of 5, the ending could've been more fleshed out and not rushed. A lot of HoO feel rushed this could be because of deadline or because there was supposed to be more books. I don't know if i made sense, but I would like to see what other people think about this
First read-through of The Lost Hero I give it a 3/5, after re-reading I give it a 4/5 I think the book gets a lot of undeserved hate (especially) Jason, because of the inconsistent and lazy writing
