you have performed and a presented such a warm and friendly video thankyou, I have had my Cuttlebug for more than 20 years, this one is way less chunky and much slimmer love the look, My is getting way to clunky these days and that crack sound still freaks me out. I'm confused. I bought second-hand a Cuttle Bug some years ago. Love it particularly for embossing folders. However, enclosed with the instructions was a sheet of registered Cuttlebug dealers as at 01.4.2008. Interestingly, the "label" reads: "Provo Craft" not Cricut.

Just bought my Cuttlebug and love it!!! The only thing that I had to do different for my peace of mind was purchase an Accuquilt cutting mat it is self healing. This is to protect the B plate when cutting sorry OCD. I didn't use the rubber mat, I used A plate, magnetic plate, cutting die, card stock, Accuquilt cutting mat, and B plate as my sandwich. It worked great!!!!
Oh I'm so glad!! Aren't they so much fun? That is such a good idea with the mat. I'm a bit OCD as well. I just had to jump in and not let it bother me knowing it means I'm creating and having fun.

Southern Couture What do you use the C plates for and when do you use the magnetic plate and does the magnetic plate replace another plate. I know its to hold dies in place but I dont see any instructions on it. I just got the Anne Griffith gold version one with some neat extras along with the March Mystery boxes that were loaded with cuttlebug stuff. I was told I needed C plates,longer mats and longer A,B,C and magnetic plates which cost quite a bit... so now I want to use them.
Can the cricut machine do most things the cuttlebug can do? Like are there any points of the dies
so dumb they still dont give you the C plate , you need that plate to cut the thinner dies ughh
so glad I bought the 1st version I got the c plate with it , and oh remember DONT cut on your A or C plate ever

maybe but as far as i had heard you had to buy plate C separately. and after my big words hahaha I am so rusty on using my cuttlebug i cut my C plate ahhh I will have to be careful next time

I think that the embossing Matt is to thick, when using thinly dies. I think it has
to much pressure. It least on my machine. I use the thin metal shim for my die cuts. Using the metal shim won't cause your dies to go into the plastic so much.
I also want to say, you need the C plate for cutting.
Yes, I had to go find a C plate, too. Machine should come with a C plate, in my opinion!
Very informative I am going to purchase this Cuttlebug but I'm not sure which paper would be best to use and if you can use glitter paper with this machine?
Pretty much any scrapbooking paper will work with it. If the paper is thicker, you may want to run the paper through an additional time. I would think you would want to run glitter paper through several times depending how thick it is. Some glitter paper has very fine pieces of glitter while others have thicker pieces that would probably not work as well. I hope this helps.

No, you can pretty much use any type of cardstock/scrapbook paper. Thicker paper may just need to be run through more than once.
