The most prominently featured synths on this album were a Prophet 600 MIDIed to a DX-7.
Says Steve George (Mr. Mister's keyboardist): "The Prophet stands out on some cuts, however, including "Broken Wings", enhanced by a touch of Emulator strings and, at the end, a Fairlight choir sample"
Other synths used on the record include Jupiter-8. Juno-60, CS-80 as well as E-mu and Oberheim modulars - the latter two courtesy of synth-wizard Casey Young.
This song totally reminds me of the summer of 88... heard this song broken wings for the first time in February 1986 in a 1975 pontiac Parisienne I had for many years...57 years old today I would give a lot to implement that feeling again...great job on this

Childhood 80s favorite song Keyboards and guitar sound same as studio version amazing job i noticed mr.mister live did not use same exact keyboard sounds as they did studio like here.

Karaoke companies should have you make their tracks. You recreate them so close to the record, using the same synths, patches, etc. Way better quality than they have.
This is a brilliant version of a truly great song with challenging vocals, love the guitar fills you have a killer tone, your vocal performance is fantastic with all nuances accurately captured, I'm sure the boys in the band would be proud of you for producing such a great version. Boys of Summer ( Don Henley) would also be a great one for you to cover Clemmens we would look forward to that
I too would love to see a cover of Boys of Summer, but Henley is such a dick with his copyright protection, a cover wouldn't last one minute. I own a LinnDrum, the drum machine used for Boys of Summer, and coincidentally, this song as well. There was once a video merely showing a short clip of the drum machine pattern for BoS, but it was quickly taken down. I mean, really?!? I like Eagles and Don Henley music, but Henley is such a dick that no covers or anything even close remain on TH-cam.
