Great use of the original CR-78 and Prophet 5 plus Rhodes! :) I interviewed Daryl Stuermer a while ago and learned that his guitar part in the intro was recorded where the amp was in a different room to give it a distant sound to it. The flute sound was originally done on the Prophet 5, but the JP 6 sounds great on it too! Nice drum samples too! This is a faithful recreation of the song. Attention to detail! :)
It took me 15 minutes to finish this because I kept rewinding it to hear the details. And that vocoder part was just 👌👨🍳

It really does mean alot to me (I did get signed, produced, released 2 albums in 99 & 2001) that in covering the peice, you HANDS DOWN did so respectfully in covering the actual song and NOT putting a spin on in. I had no idea how crazy this song was mixed. Such a classic, by one of my favorite musicians. All the little bits and pieces fit together so nicely. It amazes me that someone can sit there and think, “ya know, this guitar riff will sound perfect at the beginning”.

Great job, you did good on replicating Phil’s voice while also making it your own. You did phase into an American accent and then to a British one sometimes but that kinda works with the song. Also your the only person to make the drums actually sound as strong as the original👍👍👍

Wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now this is truly a "bad - A?s" 1 Man Band. Awesome cover. your delivery of this song was felt with soul. It created the scenes in Miami Vice episode "Brother's Keeper". Every instrument note you played and lyrics you sung was heard with such clarity. You are an exquisite musician-artiste. I haven't come across it yet but I hope you might've covered "Hold On My Heart"? If not I know it would be an awesome cover just like all the one's I've heard so far.
