For anyone wondering about the weird futuristic spider tanks, basically WW3 was so devastating that humanity reverted tech-wise, tanks were based on the original spider tanks, while the remaining originals became relics, only equipped to the most elite of units

Youjo Senki suffers from terrible case of protagonist invincibility through usual symptoms of "Bad guys no matter how trained and no matter how many of them are shooting will never hit" and "Protagonist crazy shenenigans will always work out no matter how outgunned they are" But if you can ignore these things then Youjo Senki is ok choice. Other military anime I would suggest is Kingdom. Setting is Ancient China - unification wars. It has nice character progress through all ranks of military, nice pacing (as in protagonist will not become supreme general of everything within 3 episodes) and does not care about fan service (so no half naked teen girls running around battlefield in rain of arrows destroying thousands of soldiers)
it starts out like military k-on, but near the middle of the season there is some deep lore which is starting to be revealed, an all around interesting world which this anime has built and deeper meaning behind the characters than previously thought, I suggest you give it a shot anyway just for the story which slowly unfolds, trust me its not just K-on with uniforms like everyone says
One thing I love about this AMV and song choice is the events of the anime mirror the historical conflict fairly well. Sora no Woto is set in hybrid Grecian like country and the hostile nation is a not at all veiled reference to Italy. Even the '300/Sparta' reference works as the women in this are the spiritual successors to a group of female soldiers that gave their lives years ago to stop an invasion of this small town. It's a very nice parallel. I really enjoyed Sora no Woto, though the ending was a little too neat and tidy for me. I was really hoping for a darker ending with some sacrifice. I feel it didn't have the same impact when everyone sailed through the last arc without loss.
Amv have a certain beauty about them I'm glad to be subscribed to someone who clearly knows how to tailer certain scenes to fit a song, excellent piece.

This anime take place in the post apocalyptic world when the axis doesn't lost the war and nuclear bomb was never invented, so they just keep fighting each other and make these machines and they get so advance in their war machine the war push the civilization back to the early 20s
This anime was such a "I didn't expect this" - moment. At first: "This looks fun and wholesome :) " Then it just hits you with: Anime: "The reason young girls are doing military stuff is because the world they are living in is running out of people! Every bit of land is slowly being eaten up by deserts! (plus backstory lore, no spoilers) *This world is DYING!* " Me: "But... this isn't fun..." Anime: "It's not supposed to be "fun" >:( "
Every time I relisten/rewatch this I feel such sadness there is no season 2. Sora no woto was my first anime cause of this vid and now I may not have watched a lot of others but damn....
the fun part about this is that they actually ran out of modern equipment and machinery, due to an alien invasion, so they're left with space grade tankery and ww2 small arms. In a flashback, a dead JSDF soldier in probably Japanese ruins, had a Howa rifle with him. why didn't they just salvage that? i don't know, there is very limited lore.
I see one side has young kids/girls as main fighting force while the other is using grown men. Nothing wrong there i see , brilliant idea of some asian dude.

Well the benefits of tank with legs is fast and It can go through any terrain like mountain rocks and building But the down side is very hard to fix and very easy to break and it might be expensive
@@nightmarecorporation9991 also does not have a low profile. It can't be repaired as fast as track vechiles once a leg is destroyed. Also it can't fire when a leg is destroyed as the gun drop down.
