This has to be the most mysterious Devil fruit for the longest duration of the series. When you first saw his power, it was creepy as hell. They made sure to show the hands moving to contrast it with a puppeteer, but I never considered what was connecting him to the victim or what conditions he had to meet for it to work. His arsenal is just so vast and he could be so strong if Oda wanted him to.
