Thank you for watching and taking time to comment, we both really appreciate it. Yes, it’s a great loop which we enjoyed very much. The Peak District is such a wonderful place.
Superb guys. Wow that was some winter day’s running. Waist deep in freezing water too! You could certainly see the light dropping on the film. You definitely deserved the pint and meal after that. Great stuff!!
I wasn’t expecting the impromptu dip which certainly took my breath for a second!! It was a great day out though got too warm in the pub making the walk back to the car very unpleasant!! Thanks for your comments, much appreciated 👍
Another excellent video & a great effort, especially after that waist deep soaking early on. Given the amount of bracken still clinging on, i guess this isn't one for the summer months.
Thanks very much. Yes, still lots of bracken but far less than there was in May when we did Kinder Dozen which follows many of the same paths ands ascents/descents.
@@TrailRunningCouple last up Grindsbrook and kinder in 1976! So a nice reminder 😊 recognised some of your route 😊happy days ! You certainly get the miles in 👍👍
1976, I was 4 years old and Cheryl not even considered! Nice that you remember the area though how could you not? There’s a certain something about the Peak District and in some cases makes it more preferable to the Lake District. Many thanks for watching and your comments, much appreciated.
Just catching up on the last few vids I've missed as I've been busy and this one is the best. Was just wondering if there was a race or not of the kinder killer but after you went waist deep in the water I've since changed my mind from looking 😂. The beer is always nice in the old nags head at the end. I have pencilled in the edale skyline race in my next years planner but it clashes with the Ginpit marathon. I'll have to decide at some point which to pick 😎
Thanks Andy, no there isn’t an official race. Both the Kinder Killer and Kinder Dozen were created by a guy called Ken Jones as challenge walks. They’ve become quite iconic routes now in their time and used by many for Bob Graham attempts due to the nature of the ascent/descents. Believe it or not but they are actually fun!! I can certainly concur with the Nags Head. Our Kinder burger and pint went down an absolute treat. As for Edale Skyline vs GinPit marathon that would be an easy choice. Probably because GinPit is basically around the corner from us and it’s nowhere near as nice to run as the Skyline. However, Malc is a great guy and does an awful lot for charity.
Thanks for the Info Gary. Very helpful. As with the Edale v Ginpit, I'll definitely do them both at some point. It might come to what races i have closer to the time. Hills or flats and see which is better for me. By the way looking forward to getting back up north near Christmas. Been so long. Will be nice running around the home area again. I'm sure I'll make you laugh when you see my routes i pick or get lost in! 😁
Yes, we’ll have it. Out at the minute so will sort it for you when we get back. The Dozen is quite the challenge isn’t it? The Killer is a little more runable in sections but still has some brutal ascents! Best of luck with it 👍
I loved the B2B climb on the edge path. The Asop farm climb was the one that got me with tired legs haha. It's mega descending, Rodger feels good. Then off to the nags for a pie 😂.
Great that you do it together and pull each other through.
It certainly works for us, makes us stronger. Thanks for watching 👍
Wow, that’s a big, long day out!
Definitely. I think we knew the headtorches were going to come out at some point! Thanks for watching 👍
Wow!!! Such a Great Loop! Amazing effort Guys! Always enjoyed your videos and this one is no exception!!! Lovely footage, thanks for sharing!!!!

Excellent running guys. Great upload.
What a day out 😱👍
Thanks both, a memorable day indeed. Spent today recovering!

Great route , great effort , definitely tougher with all the water , well done Gary and Cheryl
Thanks Andrew, much appreciated. A fun route, possibly made more fun with the water. Any decent times certainly went out of the window! 😂
That looked toughy, well done to both of you for persevering.
Thank you, giving in is not an option! Well not one we would be in a rush to take 😊 But yes, a tough but enjoyable route.

Epic run that one well done !
Thanks Ian, a tough outing but such a nice place to be at the same time!

Looked really tough. Excellent achievement, you both deserved the pints at the finish 🍺🍺
Thanks Jeff, definitely felt we needed them! Great day out though.
Excellent video! Certainly looked like a tough challenge! Great work! The views on the route are awesome! 🌄
Thanks Andrew. Certainly is a tough route but the Peak District has such wonderful features and views which helps to keep you going 👍
Oooof! What a monster! Made our 'little' run on Sunday look like a park run! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well done guys 👏👏👏
It’s all training for the Goat 🐐 Looking forward to throwing ourselves into another testing route - in less than 2 weeks !!😧 😂

@@AndyUltra Let us know when you’re up and heading out for a run, we can always join you if time permits. Would make for a nice run/chat.
Do you have a GPX file for the route. Brilliant watch I did the dozen on Friday loved it
