Just bought a 48 chief now I got to go to Cleveland Ohio to pick it up to bring back to Alabama to start my year long restoration. My 3rd Indian I've had I'll not sell this one. (08-10-22)
I have a '48 Chief. They could go 65-70 mph "all day long" , max 85mph, 40-45mpg. People installed different sprockets to lower rpm for long distance highway riding. Modern bikes have better brakes and don't vibrate as much
Never heard that kind of music from my '48, only some klinking of valves and clutch "gronk". Beautful restoration.

Beautiful! Love the windscreen. You don't see those much.
Aeosome,, 😀😀😃, good luck
Same good as Scissor Hands
Outstanding!
Wow, somebody did it right, I to use Ed Glasgow petcocks, most people don't even notice, and they work well.
Judging by the exhaust pipes, that front cylinder seems to be running hotter than the rear. Nice Chief!
Looks more like rider's boot made contact with hot pipe.
❤❤💕👍👍👍❤️
Wonder how it does on today's interstates?
