The right stick for the throttle and brake was a setup for old racing wheels I think. The N64 had a similar thing with its only stick: in order to have the throttle and brake pedals be analogue, they had to map to a free analogue control which would normally be up and down on the stick. I had a Mad Catz wheel with a digital/analogue switch that would map the pedals to A and B for games which didn't offer the analogue option. Just gotta add - I love the music in this game; definitely not generic - very memorable and I can hear a lot of effort went into it. Love the decals on that Laguna as well. Just disappointing seeing you scroll through all of the cars and none of them were RWD!
Having spent far too much of my life playing this game, it's great to hear someone try it for the first time. Such a classic, get's way better once you get used to the handling. Is much better with a wheel. Great video, cheers 🏁
I used to play this on the playstation 1.,.man was a great game
