You need to look for modern foundries that can reliably cast anvils to your standards. Look at companies that make engine blocks. They have to constantly cast large steel parts that have fairly tight tolerances.

1:08 I love to see technology used to upgrade old trades like this. That hammer is just incredibly helpful here while not removin any of the actual craftsmanship that goes into smithing.
What i rly love about things like this is that they make the craft that much more accessible to more ppl. A grt example of this from history is how the person who popularised stuffed animals produced and sold on a large scale was only able to do such bcuz of the innovation of a sewing machine allowing her to work at the craft of sewin despite very limited use of one of her hands.
Her expertise and her insight and her forethought wudve been wasted had she been born many decades prior as she wudnt have been alive for the advent of the sewing machine to do this. That is what i think makes tech like this so amazing to me; it enables and accomodates disabled folk to be able to do things that they just physically wudnt have been able to do in another time.

We would weld the cable ends into a close fitting pipe. One end welded to the driving pin and the other end was longer for a handle. Hockey tape helped with the grip.

that looked awesome and i thought of an improvement. If you move the hole higher in the spout and add a riser towards the pour spout it should keep more of the material in he boat until its poured.

This video respected Tolkien's work more than any scene in Rings of Power.

I started watching this channel years ago for the bladesmithery. Here I am, years later, watching Alec forge a LADLE from a fantasy show. Don't get me wrong I love the artistry, cinematography, and skill of this channel.. but you know.. I just miss the weapons I guess.

I just use railroad rail anvils in my shop, but I don't forge steel as often. Mostly for my jewelry making.😁

Pretty cool seem like the boat was slightly to shallow to be efficient. But still pretty cool idea and even better to see it work!
