    Ok guys! looking at the mids in this year's draft crop, give me a Strike and Engine mid in the comments! disruptors are a little harder to find but go for it!

      @ yeah, the defensive mid I would say is a failed engine, or often a bigger bodied player

    Nice, Dylan. This is exactly how clubs look at it.
    Strike: FOS, Lalor, Draper, Smillie, Lombard, Hotton

    Hi Dylan , how would you classify the north mids?
    LDU should really be a strike mid. But is often deployed more like an engine with high time on ground and centre bounce attendances. Hopefully this changes when our younger mids take more of the load.
    Wardlaw I am not sure on. He is deployed more like a strike due to his fitness and durability being reduced at this time. He has components of strike, engine and disruptor.
    Sheezel and Simpkin clearly engine.
    Thoughts?

    Are you planning on going through each club's draft hand and seeing what they could possibly be doing whether it'll be trading to move up or slide down or identify which player could land with their picks? Very interested in seeing who Port could draft with their picks after the *_a-ahem_* very interesting trade period for them.
    If West Coast somehow skips on Bo Allan, would he be a good selection for Port at pick 13; pick 16 after all the F/S and academy bids? He would be my ideal choice for Port's first pick, but then again, if Harry Armstrong is still on the board, you would be crazy not to select him. If not him, would Kayle Gerreyn be a good option as a KPP with Port's pick 29?

    1. I have split midfielders in this exact same category, and so I'm proud of this since you clearly know what you are taking about.
    2. Can you break forwards and defenders into the same branches please? I have four categories for both.
    3. I have these traits:
    - ex full-forward / state sprinter so very quick off the mark (negative: dont have much if a tank)
    - 184cm / 96kg so stocky but quick (negative: this contributes to bad endurance)
    - perfectly ambidexterous so can kick 100% with both feet (negative: very bad handballer)
    - not so aggressive / talented at tackling, but try to rack up high numbers of tackles
    - can be used off half back due to kicking ability
    What type of midfielder do you think I am?

    Taj Hotton would make a good strike duo alongside Bolton, what do you think is the next footy trend in terms of position and body type. for example we've seen Rucks get smaller and more agile, we see midfielders getting taller.

    • @DylanAlexanderFollowsDraft
      @DylanAlexanderFollowsDraft  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@_Murky_ yeah Taj is all strike! I think a trend we’ve seen is a greater number of small fwds but I think when recruiting players, guys that are hybrid athletes and hybrid positional qualities are important. disruptor, cody Anderson?
    engine, sid draper
    strike, Bo Allan
    disruptor is probably the hardest to pick because they don't stand out in the draft year, who pays attention to the guy who tags the other teams star.
    only tag I can think of this year was oliver hannaford on Murphy Reid

    • @DylanAlexanderFollowsDraft
      @DylanAlexanderFollowsDraft  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@anappropriatehandle you’ve nailed this! Yeah 100% there’s no doubt disruptors amongst the draft crop but they’ll become disruptors once they’re not seen as having the quality at afl level. Cody Anderson has played that role as has Nathaniel Sulzberger and Noah Yze.
