That sniper cosmetic (the one with the wide jaw and the eyes in his throat) is a reference to beetlejuice.I would like that be a halloween only cosmetic

It's a shame Madcap got removed from TF2
To be fair, to be "Certified Compatible" doesn't mean it's been seen by Valve in any capacity. They just have to be made within certain criteria, it was added a few years ago to streamline the curation process on Valve's end.
all it means is "this item works in the game and isnt a concept"

The Star just means it’s compatible with TF2. It doesn’t mean it’s approved by Valve.
What's the point of uploading an item to the workshop of a game if it's not even compatible with it

@@xxdestroyerxxal To show off your Model? Most items in the Workshop are compatible. Some Item Publishers also allow their Item to be downloaded as a mod.
Madcap
Madcap was originally a class but after he was removed, somebody tried to make a cosmetic flr Scout but doesn't end good
the madcap has returned.
These items aren't that bad to be honest,
I can see some of them being just a joke, I even think some of them are funny and...

Honestly, I love that cosmetic that turns the Heavy into a sandwich. It's delightfully cursed but I can totally imagine that being a legit cosmetic.
Also the menorah at the end. That was delightful as well.
I like how the Madcap Scout cosmetic looks like it is a hat, accessory and top all in one workshop item.
I think that’s what makes it incredibly cursed. The fact that it takes up three cosmetic spots at once is never heard of.

Being marked incompatible doesn't always mean that it won't fit in the art style, it's mostly based on stuff like hit-boxes

Check out the Master Batter. Probably my favorite of the certified list. Its meant for the scout and enhances his dominant arm.

I just love how while talking about a spy cosmetic at 2:58 the clip shows a bunch of spies. It’s not even just that though it’s the fact of how much the first one messed up the other (pyro disguised spy) by panicking toofty into looking back
The Pyrophant's extra tusks makes it look less like an elephant - human and more like a fungus infected Pyro.
The mech suit could be a cool mobile taunt. Something like Dva’s suit, go taunt walk speed and hit box is huge

The compatibility tags are not in reference to whether Valve themselves have approved an item. They are instead indicators that the workshop submitter did or did not go through the checks required to make a custom model work in the game.

doesnt the "Compatibile/Incompatibile" marking mean if the item can or cannot be technically put in the game? like of course the mech-engi cant be because its photoshopped picture, not 3-d model.
maybe the other creators just incorrectly uploaded the files, and thats why not-so-bad items were deemed incompatibile
The golden 'compatible' star doesn't mean the item is in-line with the artstyle or anything like that. There's no manual review process involved as it's given to all items uploaded to workshop through official sdk tools

I'm pretty sure the Gold star on the workshop is awarded through a purely technical process. Valve isn't looking through the workshop and saying whether it's good, the submission process just reviews the item's encoding and data and gives it a gold star if it's convenient for Valve to add.
Toofty I demand an apology, the number 1 spot has disturbed to such a high degree that I cannot manage to fall asleep, every time I close my eyes, even for blinking, the mental image of that *thing* comes back to haunt me.

i found your channel, i accidentally got into a game with you in banana bay and thought you had like 60 subs, grats on making it this far.
Oh man I had a similar idea for a video series called "worst of the workshop" where I would have gone to the last pages of different tf2 workshops and do an art gallery style analysis of the lowest rated items. Kinds dropped it because it was fairly overwhelming.

Oh I remember Madcap back in days when TF2 workshop didn't even exist, in FPS Banana mods. It most certainly looked like someone wasn't good with Blender and something ripped out from old school Runescape.
Shoutout to the Jarate hat with lovingly detailed and animated piss froth that I found on the Steam Workshop once.
