You should get a material bench for the middle - long enough to fit the space but will be thin enough to not get in the way. Then if you also get a rug it would feel more cohesive as they say rugs look best when the furniture in the room are on the rug. Cool home stores in the UK I think are Made, Swoon Edititons and Loaf (then the more typical Next, IKEA, Dunelm etc)

As for a rug, maybe you could get one with a bit of yellow and red in it, like one with a few stripes at each end. Since there is so much white, it would bring out the your yellow and red clothing as well as the yellow chair. Also, do you have blinds for the windows? The sunlight can wash out the color in your clothes. I know that sunlight has muted the colors in some of my rugs and drapes!

You should look into getting an odiment/poof so you can sit on it when you're chasing clothing, and maybe ever look into one that has a lid so you can store stuff inside

You should get a really quirky, colourful rug from like a vintage shop it would be so cute and cool!
