9:20 This is very relatable. When I was working on electronic music, you would have other producers say "you shouldn't use popular sample packs because others will be able to recognize it" - yeah, other producers? That's not who I'm writing for!
Great video, Chris. Currently I'm finetuning my template regarding matching different libraries. I came across the new reverb plugin Berlin Studio which helps doing that especially for templates with at least one library recorded in Teldex, Berlin. I definitely agree with the statement: similar tone makes life easier. A list of libraries with a objective tone description should be interesting so one could choose libraries matching well. Easiest way would be to stick to the same developer I think. The CSS mic mix is nice, I agree. IIRC the mix is "prebaked" in a special set of samples (and not simultaneaously played from different mic positions in real time) which saves resources.
Hello, I would like to ask you for advice, currently I have the section berlin strings bundle, cinematic studio strings, pacific strings, spitfire chamber, only strings. My question is, would it be worth buying the view strings to make layers? I look for feeling and romanticism in the strings.
I think you already have some of the best string libraries available! If you're talking about Vista, that can certainly add a nice layer on top, but you're pretty much covered with everything you already have. :)
Have you heard of Project Colossal been undecided about getting it, it’s a template for Cinematic Studio Series to make it sound more realistic, curious on your thoughts on it

Also I see the Dolphin + Slippli launchers in your dock 👀 Playin' some Melee?
Bingo! And yes, melee 😎
@@ChristopherSiu You strike me as a Sheik main. Am I right?
LOL I use Peach and Marth
@@ChristopherSiu interesting! Marth was my second guess, Peach is a bit of a surprise 😄

Agreed on all points! Thanks for sharing. :)
Great as always!
Thanks Marcus!
@@ChristopherSiu You're welcome! Thank you too! Let's catch up soon!
Thank you very much for your always useful suggestions😀👍
My pleasure 😊
Do you layer every section of the strings or just the most important parts that carry the main melody ?

@@ChristopherSiu Oki, and which one is the best for you? the one with the best legato? in terms of tone and realism

I have! I didn't look too much into it as I don't necessarily need it at the moment, but I'm sure it'll come in handy if you do!
That sounds interesting actually, but I'm hoping that there will be Cinesamples Industry Brass Review by your great content.
