I love how 1990s kids are nostalgic to this song because of Donkey Kong Country 2 and 2000s kids are nostalgic to this song because of Brawl.
Im just a 2000s kid. Man this song alone is pure nostalgia
I am also a 2000s kid and is also pure nostalgia
I'm nostalgic to this song because of Ultimate
The brawl nostalgia is real
2000s kid here and this song is PURE NOSTALGIA
I remember playing Subspace for the first time as a kid. Had no idea who Fox was but I thought it was so cool that he was fighting Rayquaza with Diddy Kong, once you beat it, Diddy drags Fox into the forest and this starts playing. What a powerful song, really makes you delve into your deepest memories you thought you forgotten
I always laughed because Diddy was like yo my big bro got taken I need your help.!” As fox walks away diddy pulls him back pointing back at the forest and fox walks away so he grabs his collar and starts halling balls into the forest like “ your helping wiether you like it or not!”
Bro I was the same way when I had Brawl, I feel in love with this song when I first heard it
And then when Falco joins the team, he’s about to leave when Diddy drags him along the same way, and Fox just shrugs like “Don’t fight it, you’re stuck with him”
Thank you for this comment. Made this moment so much better 😥
I miss the subspace emissary so much, i wish we had that for ultimate instead.
Hands down one of the coolest tracks in gaming.
Absolutely
They really brought justice to it in the remaster! I really like it
You can say that again
I couldn’t agree more
Actraiser 1 & 2 are calling for you :P
the original stickerbush symphony sounds like a deep trek through an ancient lost cave, untouched by the passing of time from the world outside
this stickerbush symphony sounds like running down an open field, breeze at your back, mountains in the distance and adventure to be found
I love how the same melody in two different contexts can evoke such different, yet such strong emotions every time I hear them. I love this song
Yet both at its core invoke a journey, a challenge we have yet to face. A thought return of to the simpler days of our life where such peril seemed so distant.
Literally my exact thoughts lol
You will make me cry😢
Bro the beginning sounds like you are sneaking and then just trying to get out as fast as possible because you were caught then it brings you right back
I mean the Brawl version adds quite a bit to the melody but your point still stands
the nostalgia of sitting in my great grandmother's living room at 2AM trying to get thru subspace on intense difficulty. she'd always tell me to turn the game off but then wouldn't really care because I was having fun. rest her soul
did she drop a trophy?

@WyattMC Ok? Still drumming
So nostalgic. Brings me back to the brawl days. I remember in 2008 when I would visit my friends house and we would play halo 3 and super smash bros brawl.
it's crazy how it all worked on a sideways wii remote too
Same but I never got that far into the game so I mostly remember the part in the beginning where you fall on a bunch of clouds to go down
@@misterwafflefudge3145 Ah yes, Sky World, not that bad of a level honestly, the music is amazing, it's just awesome what they did with Kid Icarus's characters and music after 17 years not being represented, and thanks to that we got Kid Icarus Uprising now!
Bruh i did this exact same thing with my friends
Halo 3 and Brawl seems to be a shared experience, huh!
Subspace Emissary was and still is one of the greatest gaming experiences I have ever had.
this sounds so different from the original, yet it's still good
I always loved it when the acoustic guitar kicks in, then another one on top of it, then it swaps to a violin. This track is one of my all-time favorites from Brawl, and I'm glad it returned for Ultimate. It's not easy to make a remix that sounds better than the original, but Nintendo managed to pull it off.
Nintendo somehow pulls off the unbelievable time and time again while these other game companies are slacking for the most part. It truly is astonishing what Nintendo is capable of
This is the only song that is hype and calming at the same time.
This is one of those songs where it feels like it’s existed forever. Both this version and David Wise's are absolutely masterful. 1:25 - 1:49 always makes me tear up whenever I hear it. I also love how the song has a bit of a grainy sound to it, subtly hammering home that 2000’s DS nostalgia. This was always the true theme of the Subspace Emissary
me too❤
@@nintendoraptor1969 nice

"Brawl nostalgia"
Me and my brother aren’t getting along with each other anymore. Relationship finally broke after years of strain. This was both of our favorite song in smash bros brawl. I come back to it very often to try to recapture the brotherly love we once shared. I can’t feel it anymore. Good song tho.
Womp womp
Politics? Don't break over politics.
Well, you know that's okay because siblings aren't supposed to get along 24/7 365..
But you know what siblings are siblings and at least in most cases they always find a way forgive and love each other so I hope you and your sibling find a way to sort things out, but rest assured good things always find a way to see things through when good people have the right intentions
I remember making many maps in smash bros brawl with this song because I liked it a lot, now I really realize that it is a masterpiece
Making maps? How
@@finngomezgamer I think he's talking about custom stages.
I feel the need to state for the younger gens just how impactful this song was. In the original game it occurred during the most difficulty platforming levels ever designed up to that point. No save states, no mercy, just the most difficult levels that tested you so much harder then most games did before. And before social media, before phones, before east communication every DKC2 fan I ever met at every playground and every kids party talked about leaving the game on to just listen to this song.
Now imagine playing brawl, you’re doing the story mode and suddenly you hear the first notes. It wasn’t just nostalgia because this was new. It wasn’t just resting on the laurels of the tune before it, it expanded. I have talked with many smash players and more than 10 at this time admitted to having tears in their eyes or punching the air when this came on. The fact that somehow a single tune hits just right across generations, across so many different countries and so many different ways of life. It sounds cheesy as hell but it gives me hope for all of us.
Sorry for the bramble ramble. I hope you all are living life to the fullest :)
This is a beautiful comment
genuine contender for my favorite smash remix of all time, i can never get tired of this one
Hearing this in Subspace Emissary for the first time was life changing.
This isn't even just one of the most famous songs in Smash, it's one of the most iconic songs in gaming, period.
This was the first time as a kid when I realized Video game music was actually super legit. (Brawl Subspace)
Video game music is more than just a backdrop. It’s real and can be enjoyed all on it’s own, evoking just as much emotion as “real” songs
@@jooot_6850 yup. I mean companies are hiring out entire orchestra’s, choirs, band’s, solo artists, composers, etc to produce music. Just because it’s for a video game doesn’t make it any less music.
You should listen to the Silver Surfer leverl 1 theme, absolute banger
@@Oddle_ If I remember correctly, that's made by the same person who made the music for Plok
Ah, I remember the Subspace Emissary. Running through open fields, defeating enemies, free as the wind. This song really captures the whole adventure, especially Diddy trying to find DK. I remember when Smash Ultimate came out, I was looking through all the music, when I came across the name “Stickerbush Symphony”. Only knowing this song as Bramble Blast, I played it, unwittingly opening the floodgates of nostalgia. A song laying dormant in my memories, in my soul, awoke and rose to the surface. I’m sure I shed a tear then, and I’m shedding one now.
Glad to see others here for the Brawlstalgia
Someone cooked here
The check point that leads into a great adventure
This is easily top-ten best tracks in ALL the Smash games. I thought it was exclusive to Brawl so I'm thrilled it's back for Ultimate, which I just purchased!
The guitar and violin together are magical
This is easily the best song in Smash. This and the original are both way up there for me in terms of best videogame songs.
You know how there are some songs thay are generally considered to be amongst the most beautiful ever? Like bohemian rhapsody and other songs like this? I want to believe this is the same for gaming. It's too adventurous, epic, nostalgic, melancholic, iconic. I can only describe it as IMPORTANT and BIG.
It's MADD overlooked, might honestly be the best track in all of gaming
The 2000s were a different time. Everyones mood was different, and our goals were more focused. Love this.
This version outdoes the og version in almost every way and really fits the theme of the level considering we know Diddy is trying to rescue DK and has a very “I’ll find you, I don’t know how, but I will” energy to it
this gotta be the most beautiful thing i ever heard
To me, this song always felt like more than just a remix; but a successor to the original.
Stickerbush Symphony in the Brambles levels of Donkey Kong Country 2 was a comforting and supportive song trying to drag you forward.
But this remix?? It's an accompanying song, trying to push you forward, hyping YOU up and your own strength, your determination and motivation; to make you understand that it's no longer about how hard things are and that you can get through it,
but that now? After everything you've done? Look carefully through your past and you'll understand... You can get through anything.
I thought the same thing, it's such a shame the same three comments hog the attention everyday. Your comment really deserves more recognition.
Anyways, I discovered this track like 2 hours ago and I'm in love with it. Kinda weird how big of an impact small actions and decisions can cause
Makes me remember so many pieces of my childhood. And although it makes me sad that I’ll never be a kid again, it’s the memories that we have and share that keep us growing. I will always remember Subspace Emissary, and I plan on going back to play through it again, maybe with children of my own someday.
Hands down one of the best pieces of music ever written.
This song doesn’t get old no matter how many times you listen to it.
Está canción me trae tantas recuerdos, ojalá que en el futuro aún pueda seguir escuchándola
Exacto, mi estimado esto es una obra maestra
is wild how different this is to the original but still goes so hard
This might be the best somg in gaming omg its so fire
I have to say, after hearing it again, I'm in love with this version. Sure, is different, but is was made for a fighting game, and it sounds just perfect for it
The memories this gives me !!!! :(
Anyone remember when Diddy Kong dragged Fox down the Jungle after fighting Rayquaza?
I do. Even though it was forced, overtime, they became friends.
I can not express in words how much this song makes me feel... Is just like awesome..
I could listen to this indefinitely. 💯💯🔥
One of the most genuinely beautiful Smash remixes!
I will never forgive this song for making me cry so much...
Im not sure why but this song in particular brings me back to the simple days of playing brawl at my dads house for visitation, back when I was a kid and playing the funny game where Nintendo characters beat each other up
As a Donkey Kong Country 2 Kid.
Im so happy that i can share my Nostalgia with the 2000s kids.
imagine that this song was the one that made me know and end up loving the saga without a doubt one of the best
"No time for breaks. A new adventure has just begun and we will charge into it head on, ready to face anything that may come our way."
Found it! Another video of this version on youtube that I had on a playlist recently disappeared, thanks for uploading.

That violin steals the entire show.
Subspace emissary made this the theme of Diddy Kong.
OMG THIS IS ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
Never heard this song before yet it seems like I've heard it thousands of times.

The first time I played Brawl was when the Wii was in the living room. I remember staying up until after dark to play through Subspace. It's been years since, and the Wii's retired to my room with a Wii U playing those games now, but it still has those memories locked in.
I just picked up a brand new copy of Brawl and I think I'll make some new memories.
Brings back memories of playing Brawl with my sister in summer 2013. Good times.
Origin: This track returns from Brawl, where it was titled "Bramble Blast". It is a remix of "Stickerbush Symphony" from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. This played on each of the bramble-based stages in the game, including the first stage it appeared on, Bramble Blast. This version of this track uses different instruments, such as plucked strings and acoustic guitar, and overall feels more energetic than it did within the original game.
Man, I remember being a stupid kid and hearing this song in a Sonic RPG Flash fan-game, then hearing it later in Brawl thinking "OMG IT'S THE SONG FROM THAT SONIC RPG!"
This song brings back so much nostalgia, I remember sitting with my brothers back when we all lived together playing the jungle levels with Lucario and Diddy Kong on a snow day
this song is ridiculously good
Theres just something about Stickerbush Symphony that reminds you of something nostalgic that you miss in the same way other songs like Minecrafts Haggstorm.
this song is a banger regardless of nostalgia.
Wasn’t this known as bramble blast in brawl? Still one of the most kickass songs in the series for sure.
The original song this was based off of was called "Stickerbrush Symphony" when DKC 2 came out, in Brawl it was renamed for N. America
But when Ultimate came out, they chose it's original name, thus going full circle.
Oh nice
Bramble Blast was the name of the level this song was used in DKC2.
This song reminds me of the time when me and bro play Super Smash Bros Brawl in this co-op story. It was cool how we work together as a team and story was so awesome too! Such great memories!
This song gives me vibes to when its a afternoon day and the boys are all on, you all have a fun time but you get called for lunch/dinner, but the boys clutch and win, when you get back your exited, so then everyone gets off and goes to sleep because its night time.
I genuinely got choked up while listening to this omg…
huh
The original version gave off a mysterious feel while this remix gives off a feel of optimism and adventure that matches Diddy perfectly
*Diddy Kong casually dragging Fox away*
Back In my days this song was called Bramble Blast! I'm a 90's kid but the first time I heard of the song was from Brawl, not DKC2. 😅
I'll never forget the first time hearing this song after a hype fight with Rayquaza. Playing as Fox and Diddy, going through the forest, going through multiple doors, fighting enemies. Easily my favorite song out of all the smash games. Good times.
I'm nostalgic for the checkpoints.
Possibly the most nostalgic song in the best game in the Super Smash Bros series imo
When I heard this song in Brawl it was like nostalgia hitting me right in the feels. I didn't cry, you cried.
This song makes you remember the times that used to be. The moments you wish were still here. The moments you wish you could still experience. 😔💭
This track just feels like a light at the end of the tunnel with a dash of sentimentality.
How in the world did Nintendo remade a masterpiece in the best way possible?
Both the og version and this one are among the best (and most nostalgic) videogame songs of all time
What's funny is apparently the version of this songs name is "Bramble Blast" and this version doesn't seem to be as known as the slower less upbeat sticker brush symphony. I see more renditions of the slower version than this version which I like a lot more.
This was always one of my favorite arrangements of the track. Good Memories
So nostalgic. This is an awesome remix of an already awesome song
Found this out song at the end of diddy’s classic mode and this is the only donkey kong song I play
what about gangplank galleon
cause that hits different
This is one of the best songs ever created.
I commented on the Brawl video too but this song is really great. Unlike a lot of people here, it doesn't remind me of just Brawl and Subspace but Donkey Kong Country and Super Smash Bros. as a whole. I learned to love this song over the years! (read reply)
The reason I say this is because I didn't grow up with Super Smash Bros. Brawl......okay, that's not true, I grew up with it, I just didn't play it. Back in 2015 when I was 7-8 years old, I watched all of the cutscenes of Subspace Emissary on TH-cam at my grandparents house. I don't even know how many times I watched it all the way threw but I think it was at least three times. And yes, I did find Diddy dragging Fox away funny. I even told classmates about it. Those were good memories, but I didn't hear this song in Smash Brawl. Instead, I heard it from Smash 4, Ultimate (Diddy Kong's Classic Mode), and TH-cam videos talking about Donkey Kong and Smash. Until I realized I watched the same videos when I was younger, I felt like I was just listening to this song just now (at least after 1:25) and I felt like I was an outsider. Sure, I was extremely familiar with the original 1995 song, but everyone kept saying this song was it's own thing. Plus this was September of 2021. This was when Super Smash Bros. was coming to an end and I felt like it was too late to find anything new about the game, especially Brawl. It was stupid, but at the same time, I felt something negative. But this is a childhood song to me, like it or not, not because of Subspace, but Super Smash Bros. as an entirety! Subspace Emissary is still the coolest thing ever and it blew my mind when I was watching the cutscenes. Thanks you, David Wise and Michiko Naruke!
Update: November 10, 2022: As of August 13, 2022, that negative feeling I had is officially gone because some random enemy from Donkey Kong Country that appears in World of Light somehow reminded me that it wasn't a big deal. I also forgot that I barely played Project M at my friend's house back in 2017, so I guess it's not that bad.
Zinger
So epic and memorable, just like the original in DKC2! I like both a lot!!
Man, this one is just beautiful.
yep. something I had no clue I needed.
You are doing better than you think. Keep your cool, and you will be just fine.
I’m glad to have first played smash brawl love the subspace campaign was pretty solid imo ❤
THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS IVE TRIED TO FIND THIS EVERYWHERE
Thanks to all of you for your support and comments :)
Omg i loved this game so much. I called myself "Shaar" at some point and was stomping all the boys
this song made me fall in love with Super Smash Bros Brawl when I was a kid
To me this is the most nostalgic music there is. Brawl was my favorite game sinds I was little. And now smash ultimate is my favorite and most played game. But brawl is just so special for my.
went from a relaxing song to a fire song real quick
Smash 4 was my first smash game i ever played. I never even heard of the previous smash games and I remember wondering what if ssb was on the Wii (because I never heard of brawl yet) and I remember walking in the Wii U games section of Target and I saw a copy of brawl standing there and I was surprised. the only thing that had me confused was Pokémon trainer in the cover.
One of the most nostalgic songs for me in general because the stage this played on was my first exposure to Subspace Emissary back in middle school, when I was over at a friends and his brothers were plodding through on intense difficulty.
Can’t get enough of the guitar in this!
Yep and every morning I wake up I always play witch this song
Brawl remixes are in the peak
Puts tears in my eyes every time.
I'm nostalgic for this because the og Stickerbush Symphony is one of the best pieces there are, haven't played this or DKC2
Imagine chilling on smash bros then *FIST FIGHTING THE SKY DRAGON GOD HIMSELF RAYQUAZA*
Donkey kongs remixes are some of the best in ssbu
for the past year i've been diving into the super smash bros brawl rabbit hole with the subspace story mode thingy. brings back soo many good memories
