- The age-old question that made mankind wonder for eternity: which cars appeared most frequently in games throught all these years of gaming. Do not worry anymore my friend; today all the answers will be revealed once and for all. With the help of IGCD and ungodly amounts of caffeine, I bring you my most ambitious project to date. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: While I re-checked everything multiple times during production and feel confident about the video's accuracy, due to the massive size of data used for the video, there might be a slight possibility that a single or multiple parts of the video contain innaccurate results or informations. Even if that's the case, I believe the overall end-results in placement should be correct. On another note: appearances where the car isn't drivable by any kind of player input in any possible way were not taken into consideration.
If you enjoyed the video, please drop a like and subscribe if you haven't done yet, it would help me out by a lot. Thank you for being here, I truly appreciate it!

Corrections:
14:53 - The game is Gran Turismo 6, not 5.
16:23 - The game is Forza Motorsport 3, not 2.

Placing my bet just before starting, the R34 GT-R. It hits me harder after watching the entire Fast & Furious franchise for the first time.
Edit after watching: Why should I be surprised that R34 is number one?
I expect mustangs, lots of mustangs
I thought the RX-7 (FD) was going to be first. Wasn't far from the truth.
I read an article a year ago which ranked the Ferrari Enzo as the most common exotic. They used IGCD entries which included generic, unlicensed cars and non-playable cars so I expected it to be top 10. They rated old VW Beetle was the car with the most videogame appearances of all time.
And 14:53 is GT6
I swear the 5th Gen Mustang is underappretiated nowadays, it was the return to muscle car stardom after the econoboxes of the late-80s early-90s, we need more games with it in there
Every Mustang fan be like...
Nothing personal there, but i grew tired of the Mustang fandom asking for every single variant and trim of them in the Forza official forums. Nearly as tiresome as most JDM weeaboos asking for every so-called "niche" car (all while ignoring classic things and actual niche stuff like, as a first example, the Nissan Cedric, into oblivion)
Please its my favorite car we can let Plud Culture ruin prices on it , don't u see what happen to JDM
As long as it doesn't appear in commoners mass media like cinema, i think it'll be fine. Ricers gonna rice anything they put their hands off though.
@@Sammael66685 "In the Forza forums"
Dude, you did that to yourself.
@@jonatanrobledo9812 Gotta admit that, yeah, the place was totally harmful even on the 360 days. XD.
That's why i only stalked there a couple months before properly entering and registering in a more decent "non-official" forum called Forzacentral ;)
I didn’t even watch the video yet and I already knew the R34 GTR would be #1
You forget that the R34 isn't always a GT-R. There's also an FR GT-Turbo that is not listed in the video.
Never really thought about a video that covers the most common cars in (racing) games, but it's actually such a cool concept for one.
It's also interesting to see what that mentality of "if you don't have x car in your game, it's bad" did to some vehicles/games. Personally, I love the r34, but if you look at me and ask "you can have this r34 or 50 other less used cars", I would take the 50.
People really do this, if some iconic fav of theirs ain't in a game, it's instantly trash.
Awesome work dude, no idea how you put this manage to gather all this data and on top of that find a lot of these games online to emulate. Truly above and beyond
Okay I will be honest, even loving the FD RX-7... I did *not* expected it to be as high as it is in this, lmao.
What a fascinating video, some big surprises in the top 20 or so.
One hour of video, it's insane
not surprised about first place 😂
21:20 Wtf is that sound XDD
Asbolutely insane effort and videos as usual, glad to see you're still killing it your videos are always a joy to watch.
This man must have a bigger Excel sheet than the one most companies use as theri " Back end" :)
If the 1st car is in164 games, how many games are in your list overall?, 180, 200?
Great video, had fun trying to guess the game before its written on screen :)
No idea at the exact number, but probably between 250-300.
Excellent video I needed it
12:05 - 12:27
The sounds of the GTS-R Viper from PGR4 has to easily be some of the best sound work from a vehicle in a video game. My eyes almost rolled back into my head as I nearly went into a blissful coma blasting it at full volume. PGR is well and truly one of the best series that we lost to the now gutless Forza Motorsport/Horizon set.
PGR4 is absolutely INCREDIBLE for it's time, one of my top favourite all time racing games.
Bro came
Yeah that’s a bit weird mate
Crazy thing is Playground's Staff is still a Good 70% ex Bizarre Creations! They should be doing better!
@@simeonyves5940 It's their owners thumb keeping them down on the floor making "live service" stuff.
This is incredible, can’t imagine how long this took to make. Fantastic work!
Congrats for this monster of a video!
The amount of effort put into this video is incredible most of these iconic cars are the reason why im into them irl great work.
appreciate the effort ✊
Thx for thé hard work. This one is massive
As soon as I saw the Carrera GT, I said 'I better see Hot Pursuit 2.' Well done
Dude, the amount of work and time you put into this movie is simply mind-blowing! It's incredible that you had the will to check out such a substantial number of cars and games! Congratulations and keep it up! Japanese cars rule!
I'm not surprised by the first 3 places
Finally! Gonna love it!
at 1:06:12, i think you made a mistake, only the last one you show is a nissan silvia s13, the two other are 180/200/240sx s13. Otherwise the video is very cool keep it up the good work bro!
Keep doing the lord's work. My favorite racing game is Juiced 2.
The Ultimate Video!!⭐⭐
With its hiatus from most games for half a decade, its surprising the Supra made top 10. Without the hiatus it could've made top 2.
I understand that the Impreza Mk2 includes the bugeye, blobeye and hawkeye. To compare a little, if the VII, VIII and IX were also included in the same way with the Lancer, it would surely have finished top 1. Still, thank you very much for the video and taking the time to compile them all. You have a new subscriber.
honestly tought civics are gonna be everywhere
Awesome vid!! Just a question about 18:18, on Toca Race Driver 3 how do you change the camera fov? When I play it the camera is much closer and I'd like it to be more like the angle you've got here, so the car's more in the middle of the shot. Appreciate any pointers!
So many memories in one video.
This video is insane
1:10:50 - 1:11:34
The jump in the total number of games that featured the cars between the 6th and 5th is huge, from 124 to 148.
Nothing will topple the top 5 anytime soon.
What do you use to record mobile games, by any chance?
Looking to find out for my own projects in the future.
I record them on emulators (either LDPlayer or MuMu) with OBS.
Appreciate the massive effort but I feel some special versions of the cars deserved some better representation, i.e. the 205 T16 has barely anything in common with the normal 205 besides the looks, they shouldn’t just count as “yet another one”. Same with the R32 Golf vs the GTI, admittedly far less distinct but the engine and AWD *make* this car. And the Stirling Moss vs the normal SLR, that’s just insane how they went about creating a limited run tribute to a racing legend. I feel it’d be much more interesting to know how often you see these specials as opposed to the general model ranges they happen to be part of
I was betting on the top 3 being 3rd skyline, 2nd RX-7, 1st supra
Instead of the rarest cars, now it's the most common cars!
Didn't expect the Golf 5 to be on this list (my irl car :D) as it's not present in any modern game as far as I know. I do love the games that have included it though, the very reason I bought one is because of Gran Turismo 4!
It did had quite the tough presence on it's day, mostly on GTi form. The R32 coming second to it.
Great🍾 😀🤘🏼
Should have put car production year, I think
My bet at the start of the video is that it's going to be something JDM, like a Supra, Skyline, Lancer or an Impreza
Do Tesla Roadster (1st gen) & Hennessey Venom GT count as Lotus Elise?
btw suprised me there's more Mazda RX-8 than RX-7 FC3S(Ryosuke signature car)
Please do every car sound in automobilista ❤

Гигантский труд проделан, отличное видео 👍
Without watching first and writing as a note before seeming comments, here is my top five guess
Nissan Skyline R34 NO 1
2-5
Subaru Impreza GD generation
Lamborghini Gallardo
Toyota Supra A80
Toyota AE86
You got 3 out of 5 nonetheless.
I was surprised as the MX-5 mk1 is rarer than a Stratos!
Honestly I'm surprised R34 is so high despite it not having a rally version (which means a whole genre of racing games missed).
Also, it appeared in 164 games, best year is 2005 and yet it wasn't in Most Wanted. Such a shame, EA really blew it with this one.
I’m gonna guess most of the 164 games the R34 are in are probably Japanese only games that westerners have never seen or heard of before
your point?
A good chunk of them are, this is true for most of the Japanese cars on the list.
DriveClub, man.
@@neckray Just that I can’t say I’ve played 164 games in which an R34 was drivable
@@welunfes I don’t think they even had one
Where exactly do you find all the data for this? I am a owner of a Mk1 Audi TT (8N) and would love to know which games feature my car, as in modern titles there's sadly always only the newer generations.
I can make a safe bet into games prior to 2015, as it was then when the 2nd gen had even the RS model and the 3rd gen was starting to hit. Making developers prioritize which licences to pay for (or, what the brands exiged to show and what to put aside)

@@VGCE Thank you very much! :D
u missed the Ford Crown Victoria :D
Proven that R32 GTR is GOAT
heheheheh of course the Skyline R34 was going to be in first place here, it's most legendary car of the world! and mainly the MOST WANTED too, the most beloved and everything!
Nissan knows very well the big monster of car that the manufacturer has in their hands since 90's.
but it wasn't in most wanted 2005 lol
49:28 this focus is literally gallardo v10 swapped. Why does it sound like that bro?
16:25 that's FM3 :)
Oof, thanks for noticing!
Gt6 with 100 miatas💀
Miata would be at first if I counted all of them lol.
How much help was the IGCD?
I think a little less than completely
That golf appears in Midnight Club L.A Is not a GTI, it's an R32
Which is based on the Golf V.
@@VGCE oh ok! 👍
There is mistake in your video: That's not an Mk1 Viper, That's an MK2 Viper, Mk1 Viper is R\T from 1992 till 1995, and they didn't have fixed roof, only soft top and hardtop (which was removable). MK2 Viper is a GTS Viper (which is in this video) which produced started from 1996 till 2002 AND has fixed roof and racing variants). pay more attention to details in future, please))And That's not an MK3 Viper, That's an MK4 Viper)😉😉
It's not a mistake; the GTS is essentially a first-generation Viper, a new variant that came with the first-generation's (SR I) facelift (SR II). The SR I and SR II iterations are mechanically the exact same; they use the same parts, drivetrain, engine, and bodyshell* (at least for the RT/10 which was also available under the SR II iteration*).
The only differences are the addition of some new features, change of the exhaust placement, and improvements in the already existing parts.
I'm aware that the GTS is dubbed as the second-generation Viper in some parts of the community, but formally, it's only a facelift model (not even Dodge recognized it as a new generation). The correct second-generation viper would be the SRT-10, codenamed ZB.
However, I agree that I should've used the RT/10 for one of the clips at least.
Edit: the same applies to the other Vipers.
@@VGCE Okay. i understood. thanks for the answer.)
I gonna guess… GTR R34 or EVO 8
Front is everywhere since the car comes out
Back have WRC games vantage
I'm surprised that the Evo X is the most common Evo in games, and also that a Renault fricking Clio is as common as a 2015 Mustang.
1:14:47 what else would it be? Like, even gamers overdose on Skylines
wow
10:49 my first console game ever!!!! love the porno menu music as a wee lad. didn’t make the correlation until i was 14
My next question is, which game had the most of these cars?
Haha probably Assetto Corsa technically
My guess would be either Gran Turismo 6 or Forza Horizon 5.
@@YoSueyas mods, vanilla there's the doubt.
I think there wasn't a car in NFSMW that hasn't appeared here
if you count mods, most wanted, high stakes and asseto corsa got almost every car in existence

yeah
i guess
little game before watching: how many porsche 911's are going to be in it?
i bet 7
Fuck.
it was 4
Why didn't you put any NFS Payback footage in the whole video?
5:35 - I did
Could’ve guessed it 🥹🥹
TLDW (Too long, didn't watch) The Nissan Skyline R34 is the most common car in racing games.
R34 isn't always "GT-R". There's also a GT-Turbo and regular GT models. The R34 is actually split into HR34, ER34, ENR34, and BNR34...the codes of which are not exclusively interchangeable with just "R34".
@@HansenSebastianI'm fully aware of that, yet the vast majority of the games always go with the GT-R trim despite others exist.
25:50 v8??
You're right
It should be a V12
was kinda annoying to constantly see "mk1" or "mk5" to cars instead of the years
Please Try Do More Unicorns.
Please Try Do More Episodes.
I hate very much that the triad of Japanese 90s sportscars are 1-2-3 and the NSX is still in the top10...
That's because most of PS1 "Japanese Exclusive" racing games have these cars.(Supra A80 & RX-7 FD3S.) But since these games are from PS1 era (91-98) like Zero4 Champ, Touge Max, Shutokou Battle, Option Tuning Car Battle, Side by Side and many more. The GT-Rs are R32 and R33 respectively instead of R34.
The R34 simply filling the void for racing games that lack JDM Cars like Asphalt 1 Urban GT, Driveclub, TD Unlimited 1, NFS High Stake.
Why NSX NA1 didn't make it top 5? Because it's frequently absent in Blackbox era NFS(except Prostreet), Midnight Club series, The Crew series(before Motorfest) etc.
As pointed it out before me, blame Honda's stance on street racing in the 2000s.
The NSX is just as popular as the halo cars, but it was a hard car to license if your game had street racing, specially if it featured cop chases and such.
@@frylucas - In a perfect world, the #1 car should be something like a 360 Modena, a late-90s 911 or the group A rallycars (Impreza WRX and Lancer Evo)
@@DiegoRuiz1991 There's no reason why these aren't, in a personal matter.
This video just classes popularity based on statistics, doesn't means these cars are any better or worse than the other, their position in the list is reflected by how many times they were featured in games. Hell both the GC and GD Imprezas are within the top 5 even.
@@frylucas - C'mon, you gotta admit that the #1 reason we haven't had more 80s/90s supercars in videogames is LICENSING. Without licensing, there's no way Ferrari and Porsche wouldn't be all over the top10.
You did not use Most Wanted footage for the 'most wanted' among the car of this list.
My disappointment is immensurable and my day is ruined.
:-3
The #66 is what now??
DIablo
that's, what i knowed, the 34th skyline is the most frequent!, he was so many times, as he became overrated
"34th Skyline"? There's no such thing as a "34th Skyline". The Skyline comes in 13 generations (BLRA-3, S50, C10, C110, C210, R30, R31, R32, R33, R34, V35, V36, and V37). The R34 is then split into the ER34 for FR models and BNR34 for the GT-R.
If we go by your logic that would mean the C110 is "the 110th Skyline", which makes zero sense.
so why he called an r34?, why not r10@@HansenSebastian
458...?
Why there are no co driver voice in this video on rally game?
It's not needed in the context of the video. I'd rather wanted the car sounds to be audible without any distractions.
Watch this video for games
isn’t this video a bit far fetched ? A Peugeot 205 Rallye has nearly no simalarities to a 205 T16 .. a aston Martin db9 road car and a dbrs 9 race car , a Ferrari 599xx to a 599 roadcar . A bmw z4 roadcar has a straight six and the z4 gte a V8 and it’s almost a polyester car . I really like your videos normally , but this is just a bit far fetched .. like Audi TT and TTS even a TTRS I understand , but a Peugeot 205 Rallye and a 205 T16 no I don’t understand ..
Same base model. And ONLY YOU would find the 205 T16 to be a RALLY PROTOTYPE.
Same base model … a 205 Rallye is fwd steel car.. 205 T16 is a spaceframe car with only a tub in( safety cell) middel it’s 4wd and mid engine… so where the simalarities ?
GT3s and other race variants I think are fine to be featured under the same entry with their road-going version as they're homologated from those.
As for the 205, yeah it might be pushing it a bit. On the bright side, there's no game which features the standard 205 without the 205 T16 also being featured, so it wouldn't have changed the result if I only counted the T16s.
Awesome vid!! Just a question about 18:18, on Toca Race Driver 3 how do you change the camera fov? When I play it the camera is much closer and I'd like it to be more like the angle you've got here, so the car's more in the middle of the shot. Appreciate any pointers!
