Cars that were made specifically for a certain game, such as Gran Turismo's Vision GTs, or released in the current decade are excluded. Non-licensed car appearances were not taken into account for the video.
Game appearances are based on the information found on game wikis and IGCD.

Fun fact, the Punto was actually a replacement for what was supposed to be a Mini Cooper S, but EA never got around the rights to Mini through BMW due to BMW not liking the amount of customization you could do to cars at the time
They billed themselves as some radical revival of a stodgy car for the youth and then made it extremely bland and disallowed modifications, nice one bmw

I am friends with one of the members of the Doran family who built the JE4 Daytona Prototype. He said that it was the least fun car he ever worked on. due to the Grand Am ruleset, the cars were not at all technically advanced and what is ironic is that his family ran the Robertson Racing Ford GT in the ALMS GT2 class and that the GT was quicker than the tube frame "purpose built" prototype

Been waiting on the Dodge Monaco appear in this series, and now we saw it :)
Driver San Francisco had a big variety in it's car list, from high end sportscar like Aston Martin V8, to big full size luxury cruisers like the Dodge Monaco and Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser, to microcars like the tiny Aston Martin Cygnet 👍
It also had big drivable semi trucks, they really did catch the real life vehicle fleet very well in that game.
Many older games like the PS1 and PS2 era Gran turismo games also had huge variety in their car lists, which i love, and kinda miss in many current games, notably newer Forza games
One thing about the Renault 4, it also appeared in Need for speed Nitro on the Nintendo Wii. It may look much more cartoonish but it's still there!

Fm2 had a lot of unicorn cars that you dont see in modern games. Another reason why its one of my favorites
Not really. Only special tuning cars. Fm3-fm4 had more unique cars
For the F400, Ginetta later updated it with what they called the G60. Had a less powerful naturally aspirated 3.7 Ford V6 versus the supercharged 3.0 in the F400. It can also be considered a unicorn, only properly appearing in Asphalt 9: Legends as of now
Ferrari F100 also not even appear in any GT game man.

Fun fact: There was a French film where the Renault 4 (after some quick research, it was apparently the 4L), was used, and somewhere in the middle of it they modify the heck out of it, so it basically looks like a rally car. But for border officers.
Movie name is Rien a Declarer, if you want to see what the modified design is.

a tiny detail, and although it's a modified car, the Fiat Grande Punto also appears in DiRT 3 as Fiat Grande Punto Super 2000. probably a bit of a different car, but a fun detail nontheless :D

Not really. Only tuning cars. Fm3-4 had more unique cars
For the next one I definitely recommend the CLK-GTR SuperSport from PGR3/PGR4 as those are the only 2 games to officially feature that particular variant. Also recommend the Panoz Esperante GTR-1 Roadcar from those games aswell.
& Hopefully Marcos Cars as well

one car id like to mention thats only been in one racing game is the 1997 ford falcon EL GT (only appearing in need for speed iii hot pursuit and only in the Australian version)

Ah, the Doran JE4. Back in the heady days of the slab nosed, effectively spec series but with your own engine of choice era of Daytona Prototypes.
8:01 The Renault 4 was also featured in the background of a few Uncharted titles and as a starter car in NFS nitro, I was very glad FH5 featured it seriously.

Fiat Grande Punto a few years ago was the standard car for driving schools in Poland, and now there are various hatchbacks, they are easy to recognize by a blue plate with a white L on the roof.
Always a bit more interesting than the bland golf’s and Audis everywhere, shame fiat is a bit dead now and no new punto

4x4 Evolution 1&2 both have some crazy unicorns. One being a GMC Sierra Monster Truck. Driver SF, Forza 1/2/4 are also good places to find them. Tokyo Extreme Racer as a franchise is filled with unique cars. Surprisingly SEGA GT 2002/Online has a few cars that haven't appeared anywhere else. Also the Project Gotham games. If we're talking Mobile, Asphalt and CSR have some cars you wouldn't see elsewhere

The 2002 Chevrolet Lingenfelter 427 Corvette and 2003 Chevrolet Guldstrand Corvette have only appeared in the first two Forza Motorsport games, and the Chevrolet HHR has only appeared in Blur.
More tuning cars only appeared in fm2 not only these 🤔

its actually quite surprising how many cars have been in this series that arent even that rare or obscure in real life. theres just so little variety in most racing games because they just include the most legendary models that everyone knows of. how many base model 4 door skylines have you seen in a game compared to the gtrs, or how many chevelles that arent a 1970 with the 454, or corollas that arent an ae86 hatchback or a rally car, or imprezas that arent a wrx. how many old american fords do you see in games other than first gen mustangs. its ironic that the games that feature all the most sought after and expensive cars all blend together and get stale, while the games that feature cars that are or used to be regular traffic stand out from the crowd
A lot of the cars who appeared are rare on real life too, mostly are concept or low units was produced.
Forza 4 had a American pack and had lots off unique muscle cars .

Too bad the Fioravanti/Ferrari F100 didn’t receive the unique sound of the re-engineered contemporary F1 V10 in that 2001 game. That car is a true unsung hero and will always inspire my imagination.
Enthusia was such a great game. I still emulate it on PC, it's a shame there never was another. Great handling, unique car selection, pretty decent original tracks. If the market wasn't dominated so heavily by Gran Turismo and Forza, I think a new Enthusia game would be a hit.
Enthusia only had 211 cars but most of them are brand new.

Pretty certain the king cobra has only been in Horizon 4 and the Series 1 was in every single Forza Motorsport title on the XBox 360 I believe.

CT200h sounds nothing like it does in real life, and is also portrayed incorrectly as having a multi-gear transmission when it only comes with a CVT.
