Hey, I am a 12-14 Year old girl ANDI LOVE sugar and chocolates and have 1 or more everyday, I can also see that I have been feeling really tired. Anything u could recommend to me? Thank you Love ur vids❤
When I first started working out, I didn't understand how to lose fat effectively. As a result, I ended up losing both weight and muscle mass, which also affected my strength. In just 28 days, I lost around 10kgs. However, after watching your videos, I gained a better understanding of the importance of a balanced diet. Moreover, following your daily content has not only helped me improve my physical health but also contributed to a healthier heart. Thank you for being a positive influence in my life! ❤❤
@@simritdhadda1464 Don't worry, everything is going to be fine. Just have faith in God and trust that He has a plan to work everything out for your good.
I started running in the summer and cutting out crap. I was getting demoralized after a few weeks when the scales weren't going down, but then I realised that my clothes were loser! Stick with it and you will see changes over time.
I needed this. I lose 120lbs and finally hit my goal weight. I’ve been working out for two months now and I’ve put on 5lbs and it’s making me feel so discouraged like I’m doing something wrong.
You’re doing something right. You’re replacing the fat with muscle and your body is becoming tighter and leaner. Losing weight isn’t always the numbers, it’s about how you feel and how strong you are. Not by how heavy you are
When I used to weigh 78kg (fat) I started to workout and according to my BMI, I was obese. After 2weeks, my weight was 74 and it was not going down anymore. After 1 month of working out, I was 79kg, feeling so discouraged that I stopped working out. Later, I came to know that it was my muscle building up. I m overweight (almost obese) according to BMI, but now I know that I shouldn't rely on that and I should just focus on being a healthier human being.
so true!!! by BMI standards i’m almost overweight but i am an XS-S 😹😹😹 i’ve learnt to ignore the scale and concentrate on measurements. i love your videos❤
Thank you for making such informative videos, it’s true when I started losing weight back in 2021 I had lost a ton of weight at the start but then had a bump in the scale after hitting that plateau 😅 even though I weighed 10 pounds more I lifted way more after adapting a weight lifting regime with my cardio.
I needed this, I’m a young teen athlete that is working out 5 times a week for 2 hours. I couldn’t understand why I looked “skinny” but as soon as I looked on the scale the number looked so high.
Y'all insecure about being overweight but I'm insecure about being underweight... 💀 I'm a teen who's trying to work out too. I'm only 53 kgs. I eat more than I normally do yet I'm still underweight. Help. Seriously, do y'all have tricks to increade my weight?
@sky3Presley Oh yeah, you're right. You're surprisingly right. I used to do jump rope only. But for 3 months now I'm lifting and pushing up. I'm still light though. I guess it's just my genetics? Others guys in my class are just naturally bigger in frame and weight (most are 67 kgs+) but I have always been light. I guess I have weird hormones... but thanks for the advice!
That actually made me feel so much better about myself. I’ve always been self conscious of my weight but I’m very athletic. And my parents have very athletic builds. So that made me feel so much better about myself ❤
It’s really good that you’re talking about this a lot of people need to hear it! One thing to remember is also that eating or having fat doesn’t always equal bad because being underweight is just as harmful as being overweight. Balance is key!
This is really interesting and i understand myself more now. Ive always been insecure of my weight, even tho i dont look fat, my weight shows different. I forget to take into account i workout everyday and im an athlete who practices everyday. Thank you for this
i’ve been doing martial arts for a few years now and and i weigh more than my peers but out of all of them i’m the only one who works out (outside of school) 3-5 times a week and all this time i thought i was fat until now so thank you
Thank you very much! I need to remember this to my self. Last summer I wanted to loose weight but I decreased my calorie intake way too much. I lost weight but I also lost all my muscles. I went to see a nutritionist and now i'm going on a diet that will make me gain muscle. I'm scared to see the number go up on the scale but I need to remember that i'm not just gaining fat but also muscles, and I hope this will make me healthier and happier :'l
I love your videos Emmie!! The way u explain things is really amazing but could u make a video on how to gain fat even if u have a fast metabolism because I'm a really skinny person
One thing i feel everyone should know too is in general after even a week or a few days might not make any physical or visual changes there is still definitely progress and if you just feel better but see no progress doesn't mean you should stop stay healthy and proud of yourself
this is pretty eye opening, i have a lot of muscle on my legs while i do have fat on my torso area and i was kinda growing a bit disappointed on how dispute feeling great, i wasnt "looking my greatest" by getting smaller in weight, makes me realize i was growing muscle which is why my weight wasnt going down was i was aiming for, still love it however
i love you you made up my day i started working out and walking with friends more but my wieght didn't go down and i lost hope but now looking at me there is a big diff in my body
I needed this!!! For 2 months I have been walking an hour a day and eating healthy (1200-1800) a day and I lost 16 pounds... but for the past few weeks my weight has been shedding slowly and even went up a pound..I don't know if this is muscle coming in or just a plateau I'm experiencing, please help😢
Yessssss. Finally a short i can relate to. I live in singapore so every male has to go for national service and before that theres a medical checkup you have to go through and that includes weight and bmi checking. When i looked at it, i was considered obese which i naturally didnt believe because i exercise a lot and im pretty fit.
This was something that took me too long to learn. When I was 34 I started trying to build muscle which has made me weigh more but I’m much leaner now though this late in life it’s much more difficult to keep the muscle and build more even, I’m 36 now.
Discovering this after not eating lunch or breakfast for two years in middle school because my bmi said I was overweight. After my mom put me in a really competitive swim team. Turns out I gained muscle and it’s normal for me not to be a twink. Love ur videos!
Hey Emmie , Ive been wanting to lose the fat in a short amount of time but a lot of the stuff i see doesn't explain how to actually lose the fat. Thanks to your videos i understand differences in fat, muscle, and the differences of losing weight and fat.I have now learnt enough to start my journey on losing the fat,Is it ok if you make a few videos on how to lose fat? -Thank you Amelia
Very very true! My body looks a lot slimmer now than it did last year. Clothes are smaller, measurements are smaller, BUT, I’m actually 6 pounds heavier than I was
This just gave me even more motivation for 2025, thank you, i thought i was just too fat to even start, but if muscles weigh more then I'm not surprised im stronger than some adults at 14
That is so true. When i was around 14, i used to always weigh myself when i exercised, and it made me quit because the number wouldn'tgo down. Now, i'm 17, and i just wear some of my older clothes that wouldn't fit before and see if they do
When i started training for 2-4 months, i was 47kg and now after training for 1 year im 54 kg and im literally so confused why i gained weight, but thanks to your video i now know why
Yeah I’ve been exercising and I notice when I’m doing abs and legs I’ve notice that my figure changes (I look like I’m getting smaller physically), vs when I get on the scale I weight the exact same as before exercising.
This is why before and after are so important. Take a picture of yourself before you start then another photo every month. Keep a journal of your lifts, every two weeks try and add a bit of weight to your lifts and log it (same goes with cardio too!) If you want to know if your making progress keep track of the improvements besides weight
This is simply not true, that's because BMI can't tell the difference between fat and muscle mass to begin with, even our most advanced machine said some dude had -4% body fat. (Yes, negative)
When i first started playing football i was obviously on the heavy side and became a lineman but Ian the same training as wide receivers running backs QBs etc so i actually gained 20 pounds and from this video i knew it was muscle not fat and honestly was in the best shape of my life
Exactly! I work a very physical job, and therefore my muscle mass is much more than most people! I look like I weigh around 140-150lbs, but in reality I'm closer to 190lbs! The miracle of heavy muscle mass!
everything u said is true, though recently there are some data that shows that no matter what is causing ur BMI to be high it can affect ur health, so if ur BMI is the same as an obese person and ur 10-15% BF u can have problems related to being overweight like sleep conditions, problems with breathing, low endurance, and so on
Oh i been dieting all the 2024 year and i couldn't understand why my weight was stuck on the same number even tho i was exercising and lowered my calories , thank you i think maybe my weight at the beginning was overweight but now it's just healthy weight
If you are fat to begin with, you should be losing weight regardless of how lean and muscular you get. This is the problem I’m having. I started around 230. Got down to 200 and now I’m back up to 215, I’m really muscular but my gut won’t go away. I used to be a smoker and quitting that was a cake walk compared to quitting…well cake.
You don't know how much your videos are so healing to me. Thank you.

@Blovesloveslifeyeah, it’s called stop eating so much candy
just an fyi...
if "working out" refers to anything but lifting weights/bodybuilding, you should NOT be gaining weight.
When I first started working out, I didn't understand how to lose fat effectively. As a result, I ended up losing both weight and muscle mass, which also affected my strength. As long as you stick to a calorie deficit and are consistent with exercise you will definitely lose fat
Best advice I ever gave to myself, as a young teen, was to completely ignore my body weight, and focus on how I feel in my clothes and how I look.

… naturally. The more muscle you have naturally, the healthier you’ll be.

So thats why i went from 119 pound to 123 pounds but im skinnier. That makes alot of sense, i was so confused
Is it ok if I lose the weight then build muscle?
Better if you work out while still having meat. Itll take more time when you’re skinny

Basically, BMI does not take muscle mass into account, so it's pretty useless in using it to measure progress while you're consistently working out.
