You are the Queen of "get the look for less," Tina! I'm shook that you made a table from scratch 😲 The cement tabletop look is everything. Amazing! The clock is such a great piece. Go Tina!😄
Awww, your hubby saying he would love it even more if you made it is soooo sweet! 😍 love that you were able to save over $1000, too! Creativity FTW! #couplegoals
Wow!!! You did an amazing job!! That new technique after you put the paint was way cool!! It gave the paint a beautiful textured look on your cabinets. I just love every makeover you do!! Congratulations on reaching 2K subscribers!!!!
Hey Tina, loved the video! I asked my friend who's a seasoned woodworker (starting his own business and everything 😄) what kind of router he would recommend, and he said that if you plan to use it to mostly hollow things out, look for a plunge router, not fixed base. With a fixed base router, you have to manually adjust the height every time you need to go deeper, but a plunge base has something (typically a little wheel) that allows you to adjust the depth without having to pull up the machine, adjust, then reposition over the material. It is muuuch faster than chiseling and a lot of fun to use. Hope this helps!
I love seeing you use the power tools, as long as they're not too expensive. I like having a few tools to make the process easier, faster and with accuracy!
Oh, wow!!! The table is absolutely amazing. I’m really enjoying seeing the both of you together in the videos. You guys make a wonderful team and are an inspiration for all.
Before you asked the router question, I was thinking how I really liked you showing the process without all the power tools. It confirms it is possible to be a casual DIYer without incurring a lot of seldom used tools. That said, It would have been easier to chisel the board if you stabilized it with clamps. Thanks.
Thank you for much for this feedback! I definitely think about how to make even bigger DIY projects like this more approachable for you all, so I'm glad this was helpful 💛
Love how this turned out!! A tip for the classic grey stain - shake it up more, like really hard or get a stir stick to scrape the bottom, that’s what I had to do with mine to get the color. It should be somewhat darker. My can had huge clumps at the bottom and it came out very watery and faint until I really mixed it.
Awesome projects! They are so cool! Also you’ll love the Weleda skin food! A little goes a long way and if the the regular one is too much moisture they make a light one as well!
Doing a light whitewash with just a hint of green does wonders to block off that reddish orange colour pine sometimes has post stain! Love your channel!
Wow! You are doing so many amazing and beautiful creations. Your confidence is through the roof. It’s fun watching you excel. And it’s fun seeing a little peak into your relationship as a couple. Thank you!
Love your clock! I’d love to see you do a clock with the cement finish and perhaps pair that with gold clock hands to give it a slight lux feel against the cement. Give it a go, I’m sure you have plenty of that old door left!
I'm a new subscriber and I have to say that you two are absolutely great together I think he's very lucky to have such a beautiful woman who is not afraid to get her hands dirty and is also very creative God bless you
If you continue to do wood working or building of furniture then I would say yes to a router that would be a great tool to add cause there is so much you can do with one decorative edges things like that. Awesome tool love the way the table turned out great job
If you don't have the power tools you need for a project, check with your local library. Libraries with makers spaces might have tools for you to use. Some libraries even let you check out power tools. It's not super common, but they exist.
The table is very nice. Wondering if a patio stone could work for the top, it would be heavier and not sure how it would attach to the legs, was just a thought.
Get a router! They are so versatile. Especially if you are making furniture, they create nice finished edges and save you time from sanding and chiseling.
I think you might have been able to do the legs for the table in a more efficient way. By sawing a rectangle the width of the wood and half the depth on the over side of one of the parts that crossed over, and the under side of the other, you could have placed them into each other like puzzle pieces. Repeat on the top bits. Maybe one screw in the center to keep any wiggle away. I'm not sure if I am explaining in a clear way, but I do know that the sorry girls have build plant stands with that exact method. You should look them up if you haven't, maybe you could collab in the future!
💕Thanks for showing this💕Wow I could make a fabulous dining room table with this method but would add extra legs in the middle💕Might Even recover my kitchen work surface using the same method💕
I think it's good to go ahead and finish the underneath side of the tabletop. My thing is - why do all the work on the table just to cut one corner, ya know?
Tina was wanted You, to Make that clock with the shelf and planter as it was visually really great and the black vase would've picked up on that dark shelving unit you previously made... Did Love ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘 your cement table dupe💥... But Wish, You'd kept the clock longer 😭 with the shelf or one or two shelves asymmetrically placed🤔💥with the dark vase with hanging plant 🤔💔😍But Both were Good, Nevertheless... but clock could've been Even BeTTeR

I'd definitely look into getting a pocket joint jig to make it easier to drill at an angle, they help so much

You are totally turning into a woodworker! Get yourself a Kreg jig and it will make a big difference for these projects!
Love this! Also, pocket hole jig would be helpful to hide the screws.
You are just so skilled! I love your resourcefulness. I'd hit that bump with the wood being too thick and quit. You're like, nah - chisel.
Wow Tina , the table looks beautiful, love the cement & wood combination ! The clock also looks great , so simple to diy yet looks expensive !!
Great job! Love these projects.

Yes! I have seen a tutorial on using cement feather edge for kitchen counters, you should definitely check that out! 👏
I don’t see the link for the clamps I must be missing it.
Where is the link for the corner clamp?😶
You are great! 👌👏👍
Love 💘 ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ them
I think it's good to go ahead and finish the underneath side of the tabletop. My thing is - why do all the work on the table just to cut one corner, ya know?
*always panicking* 😂
I was hoping that you might spend a more on the wood for something other than pine for the side table. Just to spoil Brian a little.

If that door was solid wood there’s no way you would have been able to lift it and carry it that easily.
Yeah, I immediately knew it wasn't solid-core when you casually lifted it onto the work table. You should have realized that the minute you lifted it.
I could NEVER spend a grand on a side table, personally. 😅
Jesus loves you and died for our sins amen beautiful day to serve the Lord Jesus
You're cute but I need numbers on my clock
That ad session is way too long we just have to skip it........ 3minutes? seriously?
