In a world where everyone is going fast, we are going slower. There is no schedule or cut-off time... we love the simplicity of our new normal, the life in the countryside.
We are building our home in a place that is rural, and we started building it in June of 2023.
The exterior it is done, just needs to be painted.
Now, we are working inside.
Building our own cabin is hard work.
We are a couple that loves the outdoors, got the courage to leave it all behind to start a new chapter in our lives, but first, we must build a shelter for the winter, and we are doing this for the first time.
We were off grid for the first 6 months and living in a camper trailer that we remodeled because it was in bad shape (video coming soon).
This is our journey, and we hope that is inspiring you too in living a simple and sustainable life.
This is not a tutorial. We are not trying to educate no one on how to build a house.
We are just doing it because we want to be debt free, spend more time together, and we don't want to live a complicated life.
We dream for a SIMPLE LIFE, yet it is COMPLICATED at the moment.
If anyone is inspired by us, that would be great, we are doing it because we got inspired by other channels on TH-cam.
We started building our cabins foundation piers on August 2022, digging by hand 6 of our piers and the other 6 we have digged by escavator in mid May of 2023.
On June 3rd, we started building the cabin full time, which is 24 x 26 feet.

I've been looking at these machines for a while now and I'm glad that someone made a video about them
We made it because we couldn't find a video either. We took a gamble because we can't afford the commercial ones...
We are hoping that this would help someone.
Not powerful yet useful.
Im doing a full hydraulic drive conversion on mine right now. The clutch and gear box set up is definitely the weakest point on these. The clutch throwout bearing exploded after 2 hrs of use lol but thats why theyre cheap to buy. That and the pins are all not very nice. I may upgrade those as well.
Sounds like you got yourself a project...
I wish I had time to mess with ours. Building a house gets a lot of our time.
If you have pictures and time to post, this is our Facebook group for these machines. Maybe it is going to help us and others facebook.com/groups/1191381515412218/
If you have a TH-cam channel, drop it here, and we will check it out
We just subscribed to your channel 😀
This is good information, I just got one of these units.
They aren't super strong, but for us, it is working.
We got 3 more videos. One of the cylinders slid off.
Tightness is the key. And get grease nipples
FYI, don't forget about installing grease fittings on the rear axel and to install gear oil in the differentials & transmission.
Thank you so much!
The first thing we did was to put the grease fitting on everything because there were none, tighten all bolts, and check for the fluids.
Much better than using g a shovel. 😊
True. Thank you 😊 🙏 💓
I have this machine, and an electric version. It lifts about 600-700 lbs, didnt try to lift more. I have pallet forks, graber and bucket,so I use it mostly for the forks.
We love to find some attachments for it...
You have a big forest there. Great machine! Have a nice weekend! Full enjoyed!
Yes. We are living in a forest.
Thanks for the video
Our pleasure!
You have an excellent machine! Best regards from Spain! Full enjoyed!
You are a treasure!
it sure beats using a hand shovel or rake i would like it.
100%. We have used it in a lot of projects
Ha, at least your roof made it home, unlike mine.
I'm sorry to hear that...
Ours lasted for a few weeks. I just took it apart yesterday as my husband took it off a few weeks ago because the welding failed.
I hope you will enjoy your machine. We are using it
Make sure that everything is tightened and get grease nipples
@@LarchLine on mine the back bars weren't welded into the pockets, on the 300 miles home they came out and folded the roof over.
😏 I'm sure it was trouble...
We drove 600 miles to get it
Is there a plow blade or snowblower attachment for these??
We would like one too, but we couldn't find it.
When we have time, we are going to weld a quick attach for a mini skid steer and get the attachments to use them for the mini loader.
Here, I made a Facebook group for the miniloader.
There are suggestions you might be interested in

@ thanks man
Could you make a video demonstrating how this is driven, particularly showing use of the break, clutch, etc.? Like you mentioned, there is very little information online.
We are going to make another video soon.
We have done it

mini wheel loader
My clutch won’t fully engage and it grinds when trying to go into gear. Any ideas?
Look on Facebook for similar groups for mini excavator and mini skid steer.
You might find your fix there.
Try to put on neutral and press the left pedal. Ours works
How much does it cost please?
Depends on the auction site ( how many people are bidding).
A reasonable price on auction should be under 4k, yet I've seen dealers trying to get 14k.
If you're finding our video helpful, please subscribe... this is going to help us in the long run.
That machine will be great for spreading the mulch around also. Wasn't the Columbia River Gorge beautiful? I really enjoyed it when I went there with my daughter.
Unfortunately, we aren't going any excursions. Buiding/finishing tge house is our vacation... one day we'll be traveling too.
Yes. The loader is a good help already even though is small.
I really appreciate you!!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
The canopy looks kind of light. You really want a good rollover protection for it. And also a seat belt. It looks great. You will get a lot of good use out of it.
I really appreciate the advice!
Thank you!
I would fill the bumper with concrete. It would add a counterweight …
Probably!
How much weight does it lift?
The loader has no instructions... that how it comes... does lift our bucket filled with dirt.
We have 2 other videos after this one dedicated to the mini loader.
Check out the last video about it
th-cam.com/video/IGh8HW8eJA4/w-d-xo.html
We filed the bucket with 9x60 lb concrete mix bags, and we had no problem moving them around on rough terrain.
I feel that we could load more, yet it was no need
Is their any down pressure on the hydraulics or is it just gravity down
Sorry... I don't know what you're asking.
Can you post this question on the Facebook group?
facebook.com/groups/1191381515412218/
you need to get a toothbar for the bucket, then you can get to do some digging.
Great advice!
