Thanks for asking, I had the same question. It didn’t seem as though 2.5 minutes per side was enough for such a thick piece of fish, but apparently it’s ok.
@@Mike-zf4xg Are you blind to my comment ? Read the first three words in my 2nd sentence shouldn't be so quick to be nasty. Even skinless there is or was a skin side. Have a great day
@@keepamerica2astrong280 even though skinless: skin side without skin is the same as the side that has no skin. i read what you said, but you're sub 80IQ just produced nonsense.
I cooked the fish as directed. YUM... Thank you for the simplicity of the dish. PS, I repeated the meal again a few nights later only using a little squeeze of orange. It was different, but good. LOL
Thank god there is still Americans who have some ethics in politics who are still available to give us advice no matter what their politics is. This gives me hope for our country. Thank you for your eye opening opinion. I feel better about our future.
Very helpful video. Thanks. The cod looks perfectly cooked to my taste. Undercooked/slimy fish is disgusting. I avoid restaurants because they charge a fortune for greatly undercooked fish, be it cod, tuna or salmon that is inedible.
My mouth is watering
I have about 15lbs of cod I just caught and was going to make it all in a soup but I think I’ll fry a piece. Looks delicious 😋
WOW! Thanks for sharing this delicious fish recipe!!!
I cooked this recipe tonight and it was great: my wife and I loved it! Thanks!
Nice sear on that Cod! Must try this recipe.
Nice job, never mind all the negative comments.

I have very many watch in this. My dad says I'm a cook. Many fish, such wow. Please like and subscribe
looks great....that basting technique you used is also very useful for a beef steak in a pan
Salt lemon pepper little garlic and Old Bay....Good to go.
When you cook for 5 minutes, is it 2.5 minutes each side?
Yes till it's hot throughout
Glad you asked
Yeah 5 mins per side is too long unless you like dried out fish. I usually cook 3-4 mins per side depending on thickness
Thanks for asking, I had the same question. It didn’t seem as though 2.5 minutes per side was enough for such a thick piece of fish, but apparently it’s ok.
The more you cook it the better! Meat more tender and thicker crust.
This has an ASMR quality to it.
I have cod in my freezer, now I want to make some. Better thaw some out for tomorrow. That looks delicious.
Cod is one of my favorite fish. So flavorful...
Cod is the meaty fish.
It's looks really tasty and delicious fish recipe 👍👌
Easy n wanna make me try. Tq for the hassle free cooking method 😅
Served it upside down. Even though skinless the skin side down goes down. Def trying this recipe.

Tried your recipe, perfect. Won’t overcook if you watch it!
Wonderful! Thanks!
If you do two fillets at once do you increase the garlic and butter
Beautiful 😊
Straightforward and simple, only bad thing about cod done this way it tends to fall/crumble apart, I bread mine to solve that

Yum: I'll do this tomorrow night!
Start with presentation side down first, baste, then flip only once & continue to baste. Looks delish either way though.

I love the simplicity of this meal. Just ensure you use wild caught.. (real fish not fake farm raised)
Don't fry it bake it at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes or until it flakes apart. Much healthier
Look so delicious
That looks really good and good for you!
Juicy and delicious fish meal! Thank you for your cooking story sharing!

my frozen (yes, i know) fillets have 1/4 cup water each inside. help
Definitely need to buy fresh and pay the price as the frozen fish is thin and full of water and falls apart!
Agree.
Yummy
Yummy 😋 😋
Am I supposed to have a piano accompaniment while looking fish??? 😂
❤❤❤❤❤
Could you do a video on how to boil water in a kettle? Thanks SO much!
Tasty

fry your fish in garlic butter with a bit of thyme. how original:)
I use some lemon juice & white wine with the butter then cover to poach. Turns out tender & juicy simply delicious! (Yours looks too dried out)

only 110K views, so..... not so juicy n delicious? OR people don't know what's good for them?
Sauce?
Could no way have garlicky with fish
Wow,pan fried cod ? with that much butter even the sole of a boot would taste nice
Uncooked or Underdone. You shouldn't need a knife to eat fresh cod. When properly cooked, it will just flake apart.
So you mean eat with your fingers? Or like americans just with only fork?
Not when it's frozen. Fresh fish is always better
And now you have.
