I have a Sylvania TV model number LC220SS1. IT stopped turning on one day after a power surge. I opened it up and saw that the fuse was blown so I replace the four amp 125 volt fuse with a 4 amp 250 v fuse because that's what radio shack had. The tv still does not turn on with this new fuse. Also none of the caps are blown

ShopJimmy.com Hi My Vizio TV hasn't been working for close to a month now. It is Model #VX32LHDTV10A. Serial number is LSPABBH1024714. The LED light on the TV panel will change from Amber to White when I use the remote for approximately 3 seconds and reverts to amber. There is no audio or video at this time. A technician came and changed the main board of the television this past week. The television was up and running for approximately 2 hours, before I lost audio and video entirely. I contacted the repair company and was informed that they would get back to me once the technicians figured out the problem. Have't heard from them yet, and I was hoping I wouldn't have to invest in a new television. Any suggestions you may have, would be greatly appreciated. Oh and the cable is connected via coaxial cable. Thanks !

ShopJimmy.com I have a vizio hdtv. model number-vizio vz32l hdtv10a. The problem I'm having is when I plug it in, the vizio emblem lights up it's orange or amber color. I press the power button, the emblem turns white and within seconds turn back to orange, it also displays no picture or audio. I have tried power cycling and that doesn't work I'm really not sure what is wrong with it.
Tip: When removing rear cover look for small arrows pointing to screws that need to be removed. Also, always use caution when touching/ handling circuit boards as some boards can carry residual voltage. As mentioned in the video, always be sure you are grounded when working on the 'chassis'.
I have a Samsung model number LN-T4061FC. We replaced the power supply and when we plugged it back in the tv started to smoke. The tv was working but the screen was distorted. A similar problem happened several years ago and the technician changed the power supply, so we thought it was the same problem. The technician warned that this part commonly went out on Samsung. good tip with the wall plug i didn't think to check it! mine is a ps51d6900 Samsung 3d plasma. when i turn it on the screen comes on to av channel but then there is a click and it resets. ill check the wall plug then the fuse and the capacitor, if its not them i have a hunch it might be the hdmi input.. it is well worn and could be causing a trip could i ask what is the technical term used for the hdmi/av input panel on tvs?

I have a Sharp Aquos LC-60LE832U and a few days ago I heard a loud pop and I noticed that my t.v turned off. It was plugged in but nothing was on. I assume it's the power supply board. I took it apart and examined the power supply board and didn't notice anything abnormal. I can buy a new power supply for $108 but I wanted to see if you thought the power supply was the issue.
LG 60LN5600.. I came back to my room and it looked like a fuse blew Bc my A/C unit and Ps4 were in reboot mode as if the power went out. Hello, I have an lg 65uk6090 that need the backlights fixed(purple). I have fixed many other LG backlights but this time round the new led strips have shorted out as soon as I tried testing them. They are not the original backlight model# but a recommendation from your store that will also work (EAV64013802) for my model. After they fried I ordered another pair and they as well started smoking. Now I dont know if I should order the original model# or a new power board. The power board is an eay64928801 and not sure what the power rating should be at the led +pin. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

I am having a problem with a old CRT Sharp set model # 29ML70; serial # 615168 Its not powering up when turned on. you can hear when it starts to power up but after about 15 seconds there is a click and it stops powering up. There is no blown fuse or burnt section. I have done some checks on the start zenor and rectifier diodes but they seem fine. What could be the problem on this set? I appreciate your response, thanks.

Hello. I have a 55" TCL. Model number: 55US5800. There was a thunderstorm last night. After a strike of lightning occurred, the Wi-Fi router and the TV went dead. The TV was not on at the time. We tried plugging the TV into another outlet but it still will not turn on at all. There is no response from the TV at all. Hello I have a samsung un60j6200afzxa I replaced the LED strips a few months ago with the updated design for sale in you guys shop. I did have to take one strip off and place it back down and it did bend some however it never lit back up at all and I dont know if a dead strip would make them all dead or if it is the power supply. I ordered a power supply tonight going to try that when it comes in. Just wanted to mainly thank you guys for what you provide. I was working for FedEx when I found you guys shop and people were throwing away broken tvs left and right. Edit: I never actually listed my issue. The tv powers on and functions correctly but with no screen. I shine a flashlight to the screen and see that it is working properly just that the screen is not lighting.

TCL Roku TV 43s405. The light is the only sign of life in this thing. It started acting funky for a couple of days. It was saying that the usb power supply wasn't enough or something along those lines. (We don't have any USB plugged in, only HDMI). The trick of unplugging for 60 seconds while holding the power button worked 2x, but not anymore. Could it still be the power supply since there is the off/standby light on showing it is getting power?
I have a Vizio E500I-B1. a month or so ago I turned it on with the remote and the LED indicator went on but the screen and sound did not work. I found the suggestion to cycle power to the TV. This worked at first. Later it would work occasionally and I became in the habit of leaving the TV unplugged until I needed to use it. Now even this rarely works. I suspect this is a Power board issue (The fact that the problem was initially remedied by a long cycle and got worse leads me to think capacitors could be the issue...) but the fact the TV was powering up at all may mean that the issue was else where. Thoughts?

I have a Sony bravia model KD-60x690E, my TV previously didn't acknowledge any HDMI cables even after replacing the cables. We replaced some of the capacitors on the board but when we add power the back-lights come on and then shut down after a few seconds. If you know what I should test next please respond.
I have a Westinghouse Uw40t8lw that I got for free from a friend. Before I took it home I turned it on and the picture popped up but it was flashing a blue tint like a strobe light over the picture for a few a minute or so before the picture came on normal. I took it home and now it won't turn on at all. The board is very easily accessible, I have the back off now and am looking at it but don't really see any issues (although I'm not too sure how circuit boards work entirely). Should I purchase a volt scanner to test the board? What kind of issue does it sound like based off the description? What types of things should I look for? Thank you so much for any suggestions!

IN the past it has had a habit of turning off randomly by itself. Two days ago I heard a loud pop and the whole set went dark. No blinking red light. Tried unplugging.. checking outlet.. even plugged it into a different outlet and still no power and no blinking red light. Hi - I have a Magnavox, model 55ME314V/F7 s/n DS3A1438112657. The set will not power up, and the power board is an A4GRDMPW. This is different than what is listed on your site. F602 is open, as well as D601, D1707, and D613 (i.e. diodes read 0, vs others that read .5 or .6 on simple multimeter) . All other diodes, capacitors, and resistors give good readings. Suggestions, repair kit options, etc would be appreciated!

i have a lg 55lv4400. red power light on but does nothing. there is a noise coming from i believe its the secondary transformer? (magnet around it with yellow tape 6 leads on top 6 on bottome and two on left side) the two 12.6v leads off the board that feed the main board voltage is all over yhe place from nothibg to 12 to 6 to 3 etc. this should be the issue correct? all caps are good everything else checks out working. can just that be replaced? or am i looking at a whole new power board?
Last week I had a power outage due to lightening hitting transformer close to my house. The power was out app 12 hours. I have unplugged my LG TV model 55lb5900 and let set several hours. I have held the power button in for 15 sec while unplugged, went through alot of troubleshooting per forums and nothing! Hi, thanks for your informative video on common LED TV faults. I have an Aldi Bauhn LED LCD TV. It suddenly failed to turn on one night recently and when I opened the back I went straight to the power supply board and eventually found a burnt MOSFET ‘MagnaChip’ MDF13N5OB. After getting this new part and carefully replacing it, I then unfortunately noticed a small burnt black rectangular component on other side of the board with the marking 220 on it. Next to it on the board is marked RB228. I was thinking it might be an over voltage protection diode or burn out resistor. I was going to try removing it and the adjacent one to test to see if a ‘one way’ device or if conducts in both directions? If you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated, I know it’s a relatively inexpensive TV, I just wanted to prevent adding this 3 year old TV to landfill if possible, Joe, Sydney, Australia
Hi. I have a Teac model LCDV2258HDR TV/DVD combo. My problem is when I switch on, the green light comes on (as if powering up) then TEAC Logo flashes on for a split second then screen goes black and back to the red standby light on. I also have a DVD in which I can't eject as the TV wont turn on. Ive had the back off but can't see any visible problems. Is this most likely to be an issue with the power board? Great video! Do you sell main board for a Seiki se50fy35? The red light comes on when plugged in but will not power up with remote or button on tv. I have a vizio tv model number D50u-D1thetv does power on, the indicator light co New on the fades to a dimmer white. The problem is the screen never changes it stays a deep black, the backlights do not come on and as far as I can tell no sound either. Sanyo, manufactured 2010, model # DP42840.The tv will turn on and stay on for 1-2 hours then shut off. It'll come back on and stay on but for a shorter duration and continue until it'll just go on and off. Like something is getting hot but idk. Somebody recommended it was the analog power board. I thought I'd narrowed my problem down to the t-con board, so I ordered a replacement from your website. It hasn't resolved the issue, and now I'm wondering if it might be related to the power board. Though it's difficult to describe as I haven't seen examples of the symptoms my TV is experiencing posted much online. The top several lines are moving in a rhythmic way, half reflecting what is showing down the middle of the TV. I understand horizontal issues can be the LCD itself, but these aren't constant, but moving lines. They're not colored either, but white-ish, sort of like old-fashioned static, but digital, if that gives any indication. This is only for the top couple of inches of the TV at most. They are actual pixel lines though, interlaced in their animated notion. After replacing the t-con, I'm unsure if I should continue replacing parts unless there's a good chance it is indeed the power board. I'd rather keep the TV working if possible though.

have issue with Toshiba 40cv700e. checked the power supply has no output. I don't see any burn marks or swollen capacitors. when it died it trip the breaker and a pop sound, but there's no any burn marks. fuse are still OK. High voltage capacitor charged to 250V. Does mosfets and transistor suspectible or what's most susceptible damaged components without physical damage?
I replaced the right side Master and Slave inverter boards on my Toshiba 55HT1U because they were fried at the connector. I also replaced the power supply board and the Main board. The only way I can get my TV to turn on is if I unplug the power cable that connects the right inverter board to the power supply board. AND if I disconnect the ribbon cable on the left inverter board that connects both inverters to each other. I havnt connected it to my cable box yet because I am not sure what to do. The tv seems like it works fine now but how can that be with one of the inverter boards not connected to the power supply board? What do you think?
My dish joey would not power on and the LED rca tv came on at first. Then order new joey which powered on and then TV would not power on. The joey was on surge protector connected to tv with hdmi and the sat coaxial in joey did not have surge protector. Do I need main board where hdmi is located or power supply board?

To be more specific, here is how it goes: * Upon plugging it in, the light on the front glow RED. * After powering up with either the chassis pushbutton or the remote, the front light turns blue after about a second. * A couple of seconds later, the red power supply LED turns on (I see it through the vents). * At about the same time, the screen glows very dimly for about a half second, then turns dark again. The glow is barely visible. * I tried the flashlight test and saw nothing on the screen. There is no audio either, but I have no way of knowing whether it is tuned to a program. I have a Samsung model ln40c530. and the screen stopped working, the power light works and I did some research and found that if you unplug a connector from the main board while the TV is on that backlight will turn on. if so supposedly it needs a new main board. I replaced the main board and it still doesn't work. any things that you could think of would help.
Good day to you, I have a toshiba 50l4300u smart tv. When the tv is plugged up the standby light turns on and is initially red. Once powered on with the remote the standby light goes green and the tv screen turns on. The start up logo shows and the tv turns on and you can see the picture of anything that is inputted into the tv but the screen then turns off about 1-2 seconds Of it being powered on while the standby light stays green until the tv is powered of with a remote. I am thinking I just need to swap the power supply with a new one. What do you think? Thank you
hi my tv is a Samsung 50eh5300. the power went off when watching. power lead fine. I replaced the main board as the one I had had got burn marks on the board under a couple of capacitors. the replacement board looks fine and is apparently tested. tv still has no power and the main board has no visible damage! could the main board be faulty as well? or could the replacement main board also be faulty? thanks Tom

Seiki would not offer any suggestions except a link to get it repaired. This was helpful! Seiko might have at least offed to send me a fuse, alas. Not going to buy Seiki again!
2006 Toshiba Model No.42HP66 TV recieves power, as the Power On/Off LEDs turn on, display on the otherhand does not turn on. I would assume a fuse in one of the several chip components may have blown, but other than the clear fuse on the main power board, the other fuses are solid white. From taking a look at it myself, I noticed what appeared to be faint cracks on one white fuse, but nothing else seems apparent. I also made not of the high frequency noises that came from multiple points in the components, not sure if this is vital information. Would it be safe to go ahead and just replace all of the fuses respective of each ampage/location? Unfortunately I do not own any devices to determine if power flows through the fuses, so I figure that would be a best bet to replace the fuses, a shot in a dimly lit room so to say.

I have a Sanyo DP55441. The power light turns solid green when you press the power button but there is no video. I've tested the power supply with a multi-meter on P802 of the board. The 12V pin are only reading 1.5 but the 5 volt pins are reading correctly. Does this mean the power supply is bad or could it be something else. I don't see any burnt parts or swollen capacitors. The TV was on and just stopped working all of a sudden. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

hi, your video is great and helpful. My Sharp LC-43LBU591C suddenly shout itself off when I was watching a show. I tried reset and any possible things but got no change. The stand light is gone when the TV is plugged on wall outlets. I thought the issue might be with the power board and I opened its back lid and looked up the model number of the power board and ordered a new one. After I received the board and mounted it in the tv, pushed the power button but nothing happened-- it was still dead. I tried test the dc voltages on the socket of the power board, which leads to the main board, my meter gave a zero value for all the dc voltages. At this point, I do not know which part I should check. Please any suggestion will be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Jimmy, i got a Samsung un60es8000fxza and the issue is the following: if the TV is plugged off from the power and it gets plugged on, it will work perfectly, however once i turn it off once, it wont be able to power up again, i hear a clicking and the webcam led blinks multiple times and the bottom indicator lights up but its very dim. if i power cycle it off the wall completely and re-plug it in it will begin to work again until it gets powered off again.

I have a Sharp LC37SB24U S/N 807825670 (LCD TV) that turns on just long enough that I can see the input source display then it turns off and stays off unless I unplug it for a minute and try again. Then it only runs a moment and shuts off. I know the cable box works and the wall outlet is ok. I suspect the power supply but I see no obvious burnt or swollen components. I have a Sylvania TV model number LC220SS1. IT stopped turning on one day after a power surge. I opened it up and saw that the fuse was blown so I replace the four amp 125 volt fuse with a 4 amp 250 v fuse because that's what radio shack had. The tv still does not turn on with this new fuse. Also none of the caps are blown
It could have blown your led backlights be sure to check everyrhing. It's always good to have a multi meter to trouble shoot

Hi My Vizio TV hasn't been working for close to a month now. It is Model #VX32LHDTV10A. Serial number is LSPABBH1024714. The LED light on the TV panel will change from Amber to White when I use the remote for approximately 3 seconds and reverts to amber. There is no audio or video at this time.
A technician came and changed the main board of the television this past week. The television was up and running for approximately 2 hours, before I lost audio and video entirely. I contacted the repair company and was informed that they would get back to me once the technicians figured out the problem. Have't heard from them yet, and I was hoping I wouldn't have to invest in a new television. Any suggestions you may have, would be greatly appreciated. Tip: When removing rear cover look for small arrows pointing to screws that need to be removed. Also, always use caution when touching/ handling circuit boards as some boards can carry residual voltage. As mentioned in the video, always be sure you are grounded when working on the 'chassis'.
I have a Samsung model number LN-T4061FC. We replaced the power supply and when we plugged it back in the tv started to smoke. The tv was working but the screen was distorted. A similar problem happened several years ago and the technician changed the power supply, so we thought it was the same problem. The technician warned that this part commonly went out on Samsung. Hello, I have an lg 65uk6090 that need the backlights fixed(purple). I have fixed many other LG backlights but this time round the new led strips have shorted out as soon as I tried testing them. They are not the original backlight model# but a recommendation from your store that will also work (EAV64013802) for my model. After they fried I ordered another pair and they as well started smoking. Now I dont know if I should order the original model# or a new power board. I am having a problem with a old CRT Sharp set model # 29ML70; serial # 615168 Its not powering up when turned on. you can hear when it starts to power up but after about 15 seconds there is a click and it stops powering up. Hello. I have a 55" TCL. Model number: 55US5800. There was a thunderstorm last night. After a strike of lightning occurred, the Wi-Fi router and the TV went dead. The TV was not on at the time. We tried plugging the TV into another outlet but it still will not turn on at all. There is no response from the TV at all. Upon inspection of the power supply and main supply, there does not seem to be any visual issues with either. Thanks for your help!
Hello I have a samsung un60j6200afzxa I replaced the LED strips a few months ago with the updated design for sale in you guys shop. I did have to take one strip off and place it back down and it did bend some however it never lit back up at all and I dont know if a dead strip would make them all dead or if it is the power supply. I ordered a power supply tonight going to try that when it comes in. Just wanted to mainly thank you guys for what you provide. I was working for FedEx when I found you guys shop and people were throwing away broken tvs left and right. Edit: I never actually listed my issue. The tv powers on and functions correctly but with no screen. I shine a flashlight to the screen and see that it is working properly just that the screen is not lighting.

TCL Roku TV 43s405. The light is the only sign of life in this thing. It started acting funky for a couple of days. It was saying that the usb power supply wasn't enough or something along those lines. (We don't have any USB plugged in, only HDMI). The trick of unplugging for 60 seconds while holding the power button worked 2x, but not anymore.

I have a Vizio E500I-B1. a month or so ago I turned it on with the remote and the LED indicator went on but the screen and sound did not work. I found the suggestion to cycle power to the TV. This worked at first. Later it would work occasionally and I became in the habit of leaving the TV unplugged until I needed to use it. Now even this rarely works. I suspect this is a Power board issue (The fact that the problem was initially remedied by a long cycle and got worse leads me to think capacitors could be the issue...) but the fact the TV was powering up at all may mean that the issue was else where. Thoughts?

We replaced some of the capacitors on the board but when we add power the back-lights come on and then shut down after a few seconds. If you know what I should test next please respond.
I have a Westinghouse Uw40t8lw that I got for free from a friend. Before I took it home I turned it on and the picture popped up but it was flashing a blue tint like a strobe light over the picture for a few a minute or so before the picture came on normal. I took it home and now it won't turn on at all. The board is very easily accessible, I have the back off now and am looking at it but don't really see any issues (although I'm not too sure how circuit boards work entirely). Hi - I have a Magnavox, model 55ME314V/F7 s/n DS3A1438112657. The set will not power up, and the power board is an A4GRDMPW. This is different than what is listed on your site.
F602 is open, as well as D601, D1707, and D613 (i.e. diodes read 0, vs others that read .5 or .6 on simple multimeter) . All other diodes, capacitors, and resistors give good readings.

i have a lg 55lv4400. red power light on but does nothing. there is a noise coming from i believe its the secondary transformer? (magnet around it with yellow tape 6 leads on top 6 on bottome and two on left side) the two 12.6v leads off the board that feed the main board voltage is all over yhe place from nothibg to 12 to 6 to 3 etc. this should be the issue correct? all caps are good everything else checks out working. can just that be replaced? or am i looking at a whole new power board?
Last week I had a power outage due to lightening hitting transformer close to my house. The power was out app 12 hours. I have unplugged my LG TV model 55lb5900 and let set several hours. I have an Aldi Bauhn LED LCD TV. It suddenly failed to turn on one night recently and when I opened the back I went straight to the power supply board and eventually found a burnt MOSFET ‘MagnaChip’ MDF13N5OB. After getting this new part and carefully replacing it, I then unfortunately noticed a small burnt black rectangular component on other side of the board with the marking 220 on it. Next to it on the board is marked RB228. I was thinking it might be an over voltage protection diode or burn out resistor. I was going to try removing it and the adjacent one to test to see if a ‘one way’ device or if conducts in both directions? Hi. I have a Teac model LCDV2258HDR TV/DVD combo. My problem is when I switch on, the green light comes on (as if powering up) then TEAC Logo flashes on for a split second then screen goes black and back to the red standby light on. I also have a DVD in which I can't eject as the TV wont turn on. Ive had the back off but can't see any visible problems. Is this most likely to be an issue with the power board? Great video! Do you sell main board for a Seiki se50fy35? The red light comes on when plugged in but will not power up with remote or button on tv. I have a vizio tv model number D50u-D1thetv does power on, the indicator light co New on the fades to a dimmer white. The problem is the screen never changes it stays a deep black, the backlights do not come on and as far as I can tell no sound either. Sanyo, manufactured 2010, model # DP42840.The tv will turn on and stay on for 1-2 hours then shut off. It'll come back on and stay on but for a shorter duration and continue until it'll just go on and off. Like something is getting hot but idk. Somebody recommended it was the analog power board. I thought I'd narrowed my problem down to the t-con board, so I ordered a replacement from your website. It hasn't resolved the issue, and now I'm wondering if it might be related to the power board. Though it's difficult to describe as I haven't seen examples of the symptoms my TV is experiencing posted much online. The top several lines are moving in a rhythmic way, half reflecting what is showing down the middle of the TV. I understand horizontal issues can be the LCD itself, but these aren't constant, but moving lines. They're not colored either, but white-ish, sort of like old-fashioned static, but digital, if that gives any indication. This is only for the top couple of inches of the TV at most. They are actual pixel lines though, interlaced in their animated notion. After replacing the t-con, I'm unsure if I should continue replacing parts unless there's a good chance it is indeed the power board. I'd rather keep the TV working if possible though.
samsung le46a567p2w from 2008, i opened it and fixed a small issue, when I put it back together it stoped working completely. When turning on the tv the red sensor blinks 5 times and then the entire screen blinks grey once before going back to pitch black

Hello, I have a Phillips LCD TV (Model: 55pfl3907/f7) that won't turn on. It looks to me as if it is the power supply that is the issue as there is no illumination of any of the indicator lights. have issue with Toshiba 40cv700e. checked the power supply has no output. I don't see any burn marks or swollen capacitors. when it died it trip the breaker and a pop sound, but there's no any burn marks. fuse are still OK. High voltage capacitor charged to 250V. Does mosfets and transistor suspectible or what's most susceptible damaged components without physical damage?
I replaced the right side Master and Slave inverter boards on my Toshiba 55HT1U because they were fried at the connector. I also replaced the power supply board and the Main board. The only way I can get my TV to turn on is if I unplug the power cable that connects the right inverter board to the power supply board. AND if I disconnect the ribbon cable on the left inverter board that connects both inverters to each other. I havnt connected it to my cable box yet because I am not sure what to do. The tv seems like it works fine now but how can that be with one of the inverter boards not connected to the power supply board? What do you think?

I have an Element electronics FLX-3211B TV. I replaced the two main capacitors on the power supply board. LED on the front turns blue when I turn it on, and the LED on the power supply is on steady, but there is no picture or sound. Does the power supply LED suggest that it is okay?
+Ken Holet I replaced the main board with no apparent change in behavior. To be more specific, here is how it goes:
* Upon plugging it in, the light on the front glow RED.
* After powering up with either the chassis pushbutton or the remote, the front light turns blue after about a second.
* A couple of seconds later, the red power supply LED turns on (I see it through the vents).
* At about the same time, the screen glows very dimly for about a half second, then turns dark again. The glow is barely visible.
* I tried the flashlight test and saw nothing on the screen. There is no audio either, but I have no way of knowing whether it is tuned to a program.
Any help would be appreciated!

I have a Samsung model ln40c530. and the screen stopped working, the power light works and I did some research and found that if you unplug a connector from the main board while the TV is on that backlight will turn on. if so supposedly it needs a new main board. I replaced the main board and it still doesn't work. any things that you could think of would help.
maybe the new main board is defective?
Good day to you, I have a toshiba 50l4300u smart tv. When the tv is plugged up the standby light turns on and is initially red. Once powered on with the remote the standby light goes green and the tv screen turns on. The start up logo shows and the tv turns on and you can see the picture of anything that is inputted into the tv but the screen then turns off about 1-2 seconds Of it being powered on while the standby light stays green until the tv is powered of with a remote. I am thinking I just need to swap the power supply with a new one. What do you think? Thank you
hi my tv is a Samsung 50eh5300. the power went off when watching. power lead fine. I replaced the main board as the one I had had got burn marks on the board under a couple of capacitors. the replacement board looks fine and is apparently tested. tv still has no power and the main board has no visible damage! could the main board be faulty as well? or could the replacement main board also be faulty? thanks Tom

Thanks, I'll try this for my Seiki TV with less than 20 hours, 30 max that no longer works. Unfortunately, the warranty expired a few months after this happened. Seiki would not offer any suggestions except a link to get it repaired. This was helpful! Seiko might have at least offed to send me a fuse, alas. Not going to buy Seiki again!
2006 Toshiba Model No.42HP66
TV recieves power, as the Power On/Off LEDs turn on, display on the otherhand does not turn on. I would assume a fuse in one of the several chip components may have blown, but other than the clear fuse on the main power board, the other fuses are solid white.
From taking a look at it myself, I noticed what appeared to be faint cracks on one white fuse, but nothing else seems apparent. I also made not of the high frequency noises that came from multiple points in the components, not sure if this is vital information.
Would it be safe to go ahead and just replace all of the fuses respective of each ampage/location?
Unfortunately I do not own any devices to determine if power flows through the fuses, so I figure that would be a best bet to replace the fuses, a shot in a dimly lit room so to say.

Hi, I have a Hitachi 32HXC01U which will not turn on. following a week away the TV no longer has its standby light. The remote tests good on another set and I have correct incoming power confirmed with a meter. What chould I be checking first? I have a Sanyo DP32746-00 and it turns on for a few seconds, then turns off. I took off the back and heard some buzzing coming from the Power Supply, or at least around it. So I think it's either the Tuner board, or the Power supply. Which one do you think it is?
I have a Sanyo DP55441. The power light turns solid green when you press the power button but there is no video. I've tested the power supply with a multi-meter on P802 of the board. The 12V pin are only reading 1.5 but the 5 volt pins are reading correctly. Does this mean the power supply is bad or could it be something else. I don't see any burnt parts or swollen capacitors. The TV was on and just stopped working all of a sudden. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

hi, your video is great and helpful. My Sharp LC-43LBU591C suddenly shout itself off when I was watching a show. I tried reset and any possible things but got no change. The stand light is gone when the TV is plugged on wall outlets. I thought the issue might be with the power board and I opened its back lid and looked up the model number of the power board and ordered a new one. After I received the board and mounted it in the tv, pushed the power button but nothing happened-- it was still dead. I tried test the dc voltages on the socket of the power board, which leads to the main board, my meter gave a zero value for all the dc voltages. At this point, I do not know which part I should check. Please any suggestion will be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Hey I have problem with my LG 42L5300, when i turn it on there is no picture but the power button lights up. I hear this distinct clicking noise at back of the TV coming from the right side. Also once in a while the tv turns on and it works perfectly but this is rare ( maybe after i spend session turning on and off I get lucky). Jimmy, i got a Samsung un60es8000fxza and the issue is the following:
if the TV is plugged off from the power and it gets plugged on, it will work perfectly, however once i turn it off once, it wont be able to power up again, i hear a clicking and the webcam led blinks multiple times and the bottom indicator lights up but its very dim. if i power cycle it off the wall completely and re-plug it in it will begin to work again until it gets powered off again.

S/N 807825670 (LCD TV) that turns on just long enough that I can see the input source display then it turns off and stays off unless I unplug it for a minute and try again. Then it only runs a moment and shuts off. I know the cable box works and the wall outlet is ok. I suspect the power supply but I see no obvious burnt or swollen components. Part number is RDENCA272WJQZ. It's out of stock.
