Mistystar is Bluestar's kit and was born before she became leader and also born before Firestar/Rusty was even born. So yeah...

I have an idea, she's fir one not losing her ninr lives every other day she's healthy, and whenever she's in trouble or does lose a life her dead family give their own life to you, and then there's Bluestar who's slowly giving away her ghost nine lives, so basically all her family that's in Starclan are gone from giving lives to her

RiverClan is my second favourite Clan and it honestly sucks that they're so underused. Do ShadowClan share a border with RiverClan? I can't really remember but if they do maybe at least Shadowpaw could interact with some RiverClan cats? People make jokes about Mistystar still being alive but honestly they're probably keeping her alive because Reedwhisker has no personality whatsoever. (to be fair Harestar is very bland too but at least he was a former Dark Forest trainee I think???) Old RiverClan was honestly amazing and so many of my faves are from there (Crookedstar, Oakheart, Brambleberry, Hawkfrost, Willowbreeze, Feathertail and Leopardstar are some of my favourite cats) but now RiverClan is so so irrelevant. it doesn't help that main characters for each series are usually kits of other main characters. Who would be the parent of a RiverClan main character? Mistystar? She's probably too old. Mothwing or willowshine? Better not be. I don't know how RiverClan can become important again but I really hope it happens somehow, because I love them ❤️

PLEASE, ERINS, STOP DESTROYING MY FAVORITE CLAN!!!! RiverClan had a lot going for them and now... well, they have literally nothing. They are my favorite because they have so many unique skills that no other clan could take away, and have great potential in them. But right now, they’re not doing that...
They're my second favourites for a similar reason. They're just so different from other Clans and i think that makes them really cool? And a ton of my favourite cats are from RiverClan (unfortunately they're literally all dead at this point though)
Frankly, instead of introducing a new "protagonist" for the Riverclan Novella, just show us Reedwhisker's backstory... I mean we don't know first thing about him, so giving him a complete "character wash" is probably the best way to make a character relevant, interesting and "alive" again.

She had a slight bit of spotlight when her sister Tumblekit died as a kit, she also made the great journey, she went to the dark forest, she’s a she-cat (balances it out) She and Mousewhisker seemed to have a close connection when they were apprentices, she’s fairly young, yet there’s still a lot we don’t know about her.
I’m just saying she’d make a great character (when developed more fully) and probably a really good leader too, especially in this new arc about code breakers when she could have definitely been with Mousewhisker, obviously she trained in the df, and she kinda but not really but still kinda caused the death of her sister and what not

Maybe she is traumatised from her sister’s death and how she caused it (not really her fault, but she may perceive it like that) and then she has a short fling with Mousewhisker and then tries to make up for being a crappy warrior in the Dark Forest, which of course she regrets. Minnowtail’s Remorse or Minnowtail’s Regret or Minnowtail’s Lie or something. Idk, but I like Minnowtail.

Edit: I came up with a solution to make RiverClan relevant again!
1. Akira’s theory comes true, Ashfur is the one possessing Bramblestar and he has allies who are possessing the other leaders.
2. We get a protagonist in RiverClan to witness stuff that happens in RiverClan. Let’s call them Lakepaw.
3. Mistystar dies and is possessed by someone. Let’s say Mapleshade, as she’s the only major antagonist that is female and Mapleshade swore revenge on Appledusk’s kin. Mistystar is the daughter of Oakheart, who’s the son of Shellheart, who’s the son of Appledusk, so it fits.
4. Lakepaw sees Mistyshade murderize Reedwhisker into a fine paste(Reedwhisker is Mistystar’s son, so is also on Mapleshade’s to-get-revenge-on list).
5. We get a marginally more interesting deputy, and the plot is advanced as Lakepaw has to figure out what to do about the fact that her leader is possessed.
Edit #2: If RiverClan is on the opposite side of the lake to ThunderClan, can’t they just swim across the lake to steal some nice patch of territory from ThunderClan or something?? At this point anything is better than the sheer obscurity RiverClan faces.
It makes me so sad to know that my parents won’t get me the series so I have to get everything from my local library and they don’t even have half the super auditions. When Squirlflights hope came out, I was SO excited, along with the new deputy manga’s then I realized, the library probably won’t get it for another 5 years! FRUSTRATION! I HATE BEING AN AR8S!!!!

That feel when we're finally getting another RIverclan Super Edition, but it's about an old Riverclan character.
Crookedstar is probably more relevant than RiverClan itself within the fandom and he’s been dead for ages.
Riverclan has basically been forgotten at this point. It’s my favourite clan because they are probably the coolest clan. Thunderclan has 100000000 warriors and only like three are good.
Windclan is unstable. All of the characters are a little out there and don’t really endear themselves to me.
Shadowclan is pretty cool but has no good characters. Like at all.
Skyclan just sucks and is over dramatic.
And Riverclan isn’t relevant at all.

I also lOVe the idea of cats, animals that hate water, spending most of their time in the water. In my opinion, swimming in water is like a really majestic thing to me so riverclan is my absolute fave. I loved reading those small paras about the riverclan cats wading/swimming

I think it would be interesting if Willowshine stepped down from being medicine cat to become deputy. A fun away to do it is if Reedwhisker was a villain and Willowshine stops his plans and exposes his plans and becomes depudy, because like Bluestar, Mistystar's becomes untrusting towards other cats.
Willowshine is needed cuz mothwing don’t believe in starclan. Would be interesting if any cat in riverclan get a personality. In fact I really don’t care who. Pick one and do something with the clan! Could had a riverclan protagonist along with sky, thunder and shadow but nope. Let just close boarders or never include them unless it about mothwing. Hope next book they do something. Mistystar did kick out three cats
I agree tbh. I can hardly make OCs in RiverClan right now because of how little we really know about them.
That's why I don't acknowledge the new territory in my stories.

This is a huge problem. There are five clans but I skip reading riverclan cuz they aren’t important. Reedwhisker is mistystar kit, the one Graystripe and firestar saved as warriors, then leafpool saved from drowning as a paw. That is it. They had a chance to do more but nope. Closed riverclan boarders which is really a lazy way so they don’t have to write about them at all. And now I’m broken code, mistystar exiles three cats so they in shadowclan now getting personalities I hope. Also she just don’t like mothwing cuz she don’t believe in starclan. Sure she say it cuz she is tigerstar daughter but we all know the real reason.

(Sorry for my grammar) That’s because they live on an open place, it’s harder to escape and it was probably very cloudy. Windclan warriors use the sun to blind their enemies, so they were really weak at that point. And I imagine that Brokenstar would choose to attack the clan with fewer warriors and I don’t think Windclan had many warriors at that point.
Windclan is my favorite clan because i love how they manage to survive without anything except from tall grass and boulders to protect them. Also, 90% of my favorite characters is from Windclan XD I’m obsessed with my windkitties (: I respect your opinion though!

I honestly wanna see one cat as an important one in RiverClan, and to be the next leader : Icewing.
It would be a nice way to show that even Dark Forest trainers have their place in the Clans, and even some tensions with the other Clans because of that, but come on, she has so much personnality to develop !
She is far from an angel, she trained in the Dark Forest, she let her son get killed and she joined the Darktail group (which I haven't red unfortunately). She could even be a villain, but it would really make RiverClan important again if they are the first one to name leader a ancient Dark Forest cat.
Reedwhisker is nice, but we've got to see new cats sometimes instead of keeping Bluestar's descendance.
I really hope the Erins will give her more character, and will make her leader next, or at least deputy.

So, on the Warriors website, they asked on which cat they should focus on. (For a Super Edition) Most of the people voted for Leopardstar, but there is also a chance it will be Blackstar or Onestar.
I would like to see Minnowtail become the next leader. All she needs is more development. Shine light on that relationship she had with Mousewhisker, get Mousewhisker killed because of it, and then kill Reedwhisker to.make Minnowtail deputy.

I would give anything to get more Riverclan content, they are one of my favorite clans out of all 5. I like Graystripe but I was sad to learn he was gonna have the super edition. That's two Thunderclan ones in a row.
I’m just glad shadowclan isn’t just evil clan now. Shadowclan is my favorite clan. Second windclan and third is skyclan. Riverclan is last cuz it just there nowadays. If readers are skipping a clan, you did a terrible job writing. They had a chance to make a protagonist in all clans but I’m guessing that was too much work. So it shadow, thunder and sky. Could had river since wind just had a super edition. But nope.

At least one of the cats wanted to help, that night the older versions of the kits came to visit her also one of the kits was going to be future leader. Just sad riverclan. So so sad. So after she had the dream she fetched the lifeless bodies and dragged them to windclan hah can’t imagine having to explain that
I think this is what should happen.
During the whole codebreaker thing, mothwing becomes a leader of the “resistance” against ashfur. She leads them to some hideout either close to or in riverclan, which allows them to see more into riverclan life, let the Erin hunters give some developement on the riverclan Cats, and best of all, give riverclan some good tragic story for the current riverclan deputy; reedwhisker by giving them a super edition after about one book of them living in riverclan. And then, when we know enough about reedwhisker, and they actually exist as not just a filler cat, they become leader, and since reedwhisker has been living with the codebreakers for a while, they can feel empathy for them, and protect them more than mistystar had. With the whole of riverclan, who now has developed characters, we can have some climactic battle, in which mistystar dies, and reedwhisker, a now interesting cat becomes leader. After ashfur has been defeated, thus the conclusion of the broken code ark, we have one book of settling down, maybe some tensions between clans if say, windclan sided with ashfur during the codebreaker hunt. Then we can have windclan make amends, maybe some sort of banishment for some super evil cats that existed within windclan, that we never even knew about. In addition to this, we could have one of the POV characters not want to leave or possibly stay in riverclan because when they were in riverclan, one of them could have developed a forbidden love with one of the riverclan cats. This will finally give riverclan the forbidden love that they had been missing out on for four arcs.
You know ever since I read the "Into the Wild" serries Riverclan has been my favorite clan [I loved what Riverclan stood for (Using their intelligence/clever planning/using their ability of swimming to their advantage instead of impulsive brute strength. How they care deeply for their clanmates, are endlessly loyal, as well as being thoughtful and considerate to the others around them, etc...), I loved reading about the few characters from Riverclan, their rich history of how the clan was made (as shown in the "Dawn of the Clans" series, etc... Plus River Ripple had been one of my favorite characters and seeing how he lead his clan with his careful thinking and his understanding\thoughtfulness which I found quiet inspirational and fitting for Riverclan), and manny otherr reasons of which that If I had continued writing would make this comment longer than it is already XD]. Though I really must agree with this video, it's rather sad that the further the series went the less we get of Riverclan contentt and information. I understand that it'd be rather difficult since Riverclan isn't one of the clans on Thunderclan's border, but with having main characters from Shadowclan, Skyclan, and Thunderclan now I feel like they are just excluding Riverclan from the book series altogether. Honestly, I've always wanted a cat from Riverclan as a main protagonist [that doesn't die or stop being one of the main characters after the 2ng-3rd book (don't get me wrong Stormfur and Feathertail where absolutely amazing protagonists to get to read about their point of view, but I was just sad that they couldn't be a protagonist at least throughout most of one series if anything)], and seeing how much Riverclan us being kept away from the plot I think it's more recovery then it's ever been. Welp, I guess all we can do is keep waiting for a new Riverclan protagonist or hope with all our hearts that the next book will finally give Riverclan some importance to the storyline!
This is a repetiion of my other coment but: One thing they could do is develop war tactics based on drowning opponents since they are the only clan that can swim, they would also be above average warrios beacuse of pure stamina and strength from swimming alone, since is a very good exercise, their skill in battle would be very average though, but their diplomacy and war tactcs are very dangerous, and they could make an alliance with beavers, protection in exchange to access to their dams and lakehouses, since those make unique strongholds that can only be reached by swimming.
A main character could also be a sort of merchant, a warrior fishercat, since fish is a very nutritious and valiuble resource that can only be attained with consistency by the river clan, fish is very nutritious and tasty to cats, so it would be a very good chipping bargain or a service

Out of all cats, I really want a super edition for Mothwing, and maybe Willowshine or a new character. Maybe they could make a bland/background cat in Riverclan a good backstory? All I know is that I don't want one for Mistystar.

I actually don't mind the fact that if Reedwhisker was the choice of cat for the 2020 super edition, and I'm saying this as a female myself. There will always be future opportunities for female cats to get the super editions they deserve. I actually always wanted to learn about Reedwhisker, considering he's the only surviving kit of Mistystar, and because of how old Mistystar is (even though she seems to be immortal) she's going to StarClan eventually, so it's likely that Reedstar is likely to be the next leader. I don't know, am I the only one who wants to learn more about Bluestar's *only* grandchild?

I stopped half way through in The Omen of the Stars arc, should I pick the series back up and read on? That includes the Super Editions and Novelias?
I just finished reading to last hope, and I'm not sure weather to read Dawn of the Clans, or Vision of Shadows next, can someone please tell me!

Reedwhisker was awesome in Shattered Sky he led the group of captured riverclan cats who were being held under darktail and was the only one not to break and say darktail’s oath
I love Riverclan, and I will always be apart of Riverclan. But you do make some good point, I wish they could bring some new, interesting thing or cat in Riverclan to at least give it more relevancy.
Thunderclan needs to walk through other territories to get to riverclan....

*Spoilers ahead - sort of.* Remember Mistystar's Omen? I'd be interested to see how she reacts to Mothwing once she finds out about the codebreaker prophecy.
But mothwing never breaks the code. And there really isn’t a code saying you have to believe in starclan. Plus at the end of first book of broken code, she said she start to believe

River Clan in my opinion is the BEST clan. It's sad that its barely had any books with the main character being in river clan! I would LOVE a book about a new born River Clan cat, and watch as they grow and what differences there are between Thunder Clan and River clan life.
I think if the writers actually used RiverClan, then they would be popular. I mean, they're my favorite Clan due to plot and interesting backstories, but I feel that my friends usually mention RiverClan only to say "MiStYsTAr NeVeR DiEs"

Info about the Super Edition: There WILL be one in 2020. The warrior cats wiki, if you type in “ Warriors Super Edition 2020 “ , will have it there. No, there is no title and no plot, but there is space for it. It’s there, just titled “ 2020 super edition “
Also, I’ve done research on who the super edition could possibly be about. And i have found, it is between AlderHeart and GrayStripe. Both are unexciting for me. Considering, GrayStripe has been around for awhile now. We know a lot about him, he even has Manga. But contrary to Akiras video, he was in RiverClan at some point, making it more believable. And AlderHeart, I love him, but we had an entire arc with his point of view.
The titles I figured out were “ GrayStripes Vow “ , making it seem like his Vow to ThunderClan, where he finds out it’s where he truly belongs.
Second, was “ AlderHearts Mistake “. Remember that KittyPet he sheltered before she left, and kept calling her soft and pretty....? Yeah. I do too. He and Velvet also were finding it hard to make a decision to part. AlderHeart considered being a KittyPet with her. Yeah, I remember that. His mistake could be going to visit her more frequently, until, well....he breaks the code and becomes LeafPool #2, new and improved boy version.
Feathertail is getting a manga? I thought it was about Mistystar or leopardstar. I hope it focuses on her relationship with Stormfur and Reedwhisker, or carrying on silverstreams legacy.
