This is a great performance. Have watched many times and enjoy both players immensely. That Martin archtop and Joe's style are perfectly suited for old-time. And of course, Anna's verve.
Anna is spreading joy with excellent old time fiddlin' and obviously lovin' every minute of it, while Joe's prolific rhythm keeps the beat so nicely . Anna's smile is as catchy as a yawn, as I found myself smiling while listening!!!!!! Great tune!
This is the lady who shreds Greasy Coat from that video with two people playing banjer, one of which would probably win an award for pickin'est grandma if there is such a thing. Definitely check that video out if you dig Anna's style. Edit: I'm sitting here months later realizing this is Anna from Anna and Elizabeth.
Anna just born to fiddle! (Congrats on the Uncle Dave Macon win!) Loved the heck out of those bass runs, Joe. Wish I could get my head around them. Hey, how about a teaching video on TH-cam?

Yeah, but the cat is probably all covered with stickerburrs and dirt and stuff, and is totally not wanting to be bathed. Need a followup "Washing the cat".
Oh Goodnight Nurse! I haven't heard good fiddlin like this in years. And I have been to fiddle contests, watched videos and any way you can think of.. Anna I sure wish you were closer, we would play so much music our fingers would fall off.

Anna always looks so happy when she plays
Anna, As an older fiddler who loves Doc Roberts, it does my heart good to hear someone so young play this music so well. Great fiddling!
I just wanted them to keep playing forever! This world needs more joyful music like this.

Perfect: "Anna's smile is catchy as a yawn..." :-)
I love to watch fiddlers as they play. They almost invariably are smiling as if they're thinking "I'm doing this! I really am and it feels good!"
J'aime beaucoup la façon dont les instruments chantent. C'est un plaisir de les écouter jouer cette très belle œuvre. Merci !
Five minutes of pure PLEASURE! I thought my face would crack I was smiling so hard! Amazing!!
That foot tapping was enjoyable also.
Wow. How can you not like this? Change the world one song and one smile at a time.
Amazing how Irish this music feels, though it has a more relaxed quality to it. Really great and uplifting!

Nice!!
10/10!!!
She is beautiful
Your song is asame
Angelic!! and the Guitar doesn't draw the energy from the fiddle like so many do.
This is so true, and well put, John! Nothing worse than a guitar overwhelming/drowning out the fiddle.
Yeah, but the cat is probably all covered with stickerburrs and dirt and stuff, and is totally not wanting to be bathed. Need a followup "Washing the cat".
that song is harsh and unpleasant
Ted Nugent did it...it's called "Cat Scratch Fever" hah!
CATS do their own laundry round here. like to be brushed though. as this song does to me. the right way
Is that a Martin Archtop? Way cool!
sweet
Good stuff! Gee the rolls on that arch top cut through so well. What model is it?
Oh Goodnight Nurse! I haven't heard good fiddlin like this in years. And I have been to fiddle contests, watched videos and any way you can think of.. Anna I sure wish you were closer, we would play so much music our fingers would fall off.

Can you point to some links to your mentor, Ace Martin? I’d like to hear more of him too.
Wow, I’m hooked. How does she do that?

What a pleasure to listen to ! Can someone tell me in which key the song is played ? Thanks !
