Harrison Ford returns as the legendary hero archaeologist in the highly anticipated fifth installment of the iconic “Indiana Jones” franchise, which is directed by James Mangold (“Ford v Ferrari,” “Logan”). Starring along with Ford are Phoebe Waller-Bridge (“Fleabag”), Antonio Banderas (“Pain and Glory”), John Rhys-Davies (“Raiders of the Lost Ark”), Shaunette Renee Wilson (“Black Panther”), Thomas Kretschmann (“Das Boot”), Toby Jones (“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”), Boyd Holbrook (“Logan”), Oliver Richters (“Black Widow”), Ethann Isidore (“Mortel”) and Mads Mikkelsen (“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”). Directed by James Mangold, the film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel, with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas serving as executive producers. John Williams, who has scored each Indy adventure since the original "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in 1981, is once again composing the score.

Also Indy is supposed to be 70 in this film. Born 1899 even mangold said 70. But yes I know he really was 79 at filming
@@knight5001 I think eyes will be especially close on this scene, since it was filmed and well-documented shortly after Ford's injury with him completely absent. No doubt it would have been incredibly expensive and difficult to reschedule all the permits and extras, especially with Covid filming guidelines at the time. After seeing all the Ford cowboy action in 1923, I have no doubt he did riding that was filmed later. Hopefully they'll be able to blend all the elements seamlessly by release!
Honestly i love how Mangold kept the humor of the original trilogy in this. Lets just hope that he got everything else right because this movie means so much to so many people

They always manage to make Harrison Ford seem a lot younger in these later Indy installments (not just counting the de-aging stuff). Very impressive.

It looks good, but when watching from bigger tv screen it looks a bit too airbrushed or "clean" if that makes any sense. Like from a really high quality video game cutscene. Definetly the best de-aging yet.
Definitely a crack or two when closely scrutinized, but it looks really good in motion, and the fact that they captured Indy's youthful smile so well really sells it!

Honestly! This trailer made me more pumped to see the film than the actual trailer! I think it's the original John Williams theme score that does it 😉 and I just love Sallah's line! Our hero is back! 😉

I loved seeing Sallah again! Everyone may love John Rhys-Davies for playing Gimli, or in Sliders. For me though, he's always been Sallah. Really wish Short Round was in this final movie!
The best scene in the trailer was when Indiana said “When a problem comes along, you must whip it!” and then Kathleen Kennedy popped her head out of the snake basket to tell Ford that the line is too racist to use in the film. So brave and bold!

I love how the big action series of the 80s still has more heart, quality writing and dialogue scenes than a lot of the shittier action movies of today. And good fun too, in a way that isn't annoying and self-referential like every single movie. I think a lot of ppl are skeptical but the director James Mangold is brilliant, and he's writing it too, and is consistently making good stuff. And idk, just great seeing Harrison on-screen, might be one of his last major blockbuster performances, though hopefully not. Just one of the best actors ever, not just for his big franchise fame, but his consistent work across so many diverse dramatic films (especially the 80s-90s).
Greatest soundtrack of all time
First time I experienced any part of Indiana Jones was through LEGO Indiana Jones 2, back at my dentist's office when I was in elementary school.
Then I realized that those games were based off of movies, and I was all-in from that point on.
Now, 12 years later, I'm still so hyped for this movie!

I'll never forget, in 1989 my father took my brother and me to the movie "Indiana Jones 3- Last Crusade". 34 years later, this time I took my father with his 2 grandchildren to the movie "Indiana Jones 5- Dial of Destiny". The movie is very good, I recommend it. Memories revived :) From Aegean side of Türkiye with LOVE :)

The charm of all the original flicks was the real/organic/practical-effects vibe everything had....replace all of that with overly perfect, overly clean, green screen, CGI (even down to the shadows on the faces), and the soul gets sucked out of it.

I liked the scene where the Dial of Destiny transported Indy to the past, a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, to the planet Tatooine, where he dug up a couple of lightsabers buried on the property of an old abandoned moisture farm.

If it's true that Phoebe Waller-Bridge is succeeding Indiana Jones, then ignore this film. Allegedly, Indiana Jones will be completely wiped out. Kathleen Kennedy tries to reinvent history once again and all that's left is bullshit. We could see that in the last 3 Star Wars films. But maybe the reshoots will change something and Kennedy's crap will be corrected.
