Lastly, what if a teenage, post spider bite Peter Parker found himself being stalked by the Creeper.

Superheroes are on the side of good as well as having cool powers on top of that. Horror movies characters have powers, but are also VERY evil usually. I think that's why. Plus heroes tend to win and villains tend to lose. Best of both worlds with superheroes.
