What a nice addition Harriet 🤗
I couldn't stop looking at the Grinch in the palette next to opera rose. He seemed to enjoy watching you paint this lovely piece.
Haha! I had to really look but I found him! 🥰
The painting is absolutely beautiful 😍 Even though you didn't get to see the Northern Lights, the night sky was breathtaking.
So much fun to see you two on the road. Thank you Harriet for the lovely painting.❤️
Glad you enjoyed it
Beautiful, especially the tree silhouette!
This is so stunning, what a gorgeous technique ☺☺
Thanks so much 😊
I enjoyed painting the Northern lights and silhouette landscape. The tutorial was lovely. Thank you for the surprise ending. Ant did a great job capturing the star lit sky. Such fun. 🌌
You’re welcome 😊
Awesome!!! So excited to try this one!! ❤
Wow! This is fabulous specially with Ant the photographer! I loved that you took us into Dartmoor I believe you said! I’m sorry you didn’t see the lights
Thank you for that lovely tutorial and vlog. You make it look so simple! I could watch you paint all day.
Thanks so much 😊
Beautiful xx
The Northern Lights were visible here in Arizona. I did not see them but I did as a young child. It still shimmers in my dreams 60 years later. Your painting was delightful as usual.
That sounds like a wonderful memory, thanks for sharing it with us and for your lovely words.
We had similar over southern Australia. Very spectacular.
Another very topical and amazing video. Really can’t wait to paint this tonight. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and commitment to your followers and your doable tutorials, I’m a huge fan! ❤
You are so welcome!
Merci Harriet pour cette aquarelle si fantastique et magique 🙀Douce soirée à toi💜🌌
Love it!
Thanks!!
Awe inspiring!
Wasn't it! Make sure you watch to the end!
Magical :)
Isn't it! Make sure you watch to the end!
Obrigada pelo tutorial. Adorei o vlog também, achei muito divertido.
Perfectly timed! The Northern Lights are what I’ve been trying (and struggling) to paint for the past 3 days! 😅
Glad I could help!
This is fantastic, I really enjoyed this and the vlog was great, please do more! I can't get over how busy Dartmoor looked that night, such a shame there was no reward for everyones efforts, however a trip to Dartmoor is never waste of time!
We're definitely planning on doing some more! It was so busy, all the cameras we saw setup for astro-photography seemed to all switch to long exposures of traffic lights! You're definitely not wrong though as it was absolutely not a wasted trip :)
Wow! This is so beautiful!
I love how it looks the silhouette.
We didn’t see anything either hier in the Netherlands. Next time. 😊
Thank you for sharing this video.
I hope so too!
Harriet, I do believe that Ant did get some (subtle) Northern Lights! They look like clouds in the night sky but may be the real thing. Take a look at his 2nd still photo after your video!
I was up in the Cairngorms, but was probably the only person to miss the aurora because it just didn't get dark enough! It was so disappointing ! I have, however, been inspired to paint them instead, so thank you.
Thank you for the lovely vlog treat!!!! The stars were amazing, even if you didn't get a first-hand glimpse of northern lights. What a fun little midnight picnic anyway.😊😊❤❤
Next time!
Really lovely ❤ We were going to go up to Dartmoor the second night but heard of the horrendous queues to get up there, so we headed to the coast instead. Luckily we saw the northern lights on the Friday night at Bedruthan Steps in Cornwall - they really were stunning! ❤
We got there at around 9.15pm and when we were driving back at midnight there were still people heading up - it was quite hectic! Bedruthan Steps sounds like a wonderful place to have seen them from!
But the vast night sky was just beautiful... thank you for the extra footage. A nice little Dartmoor adventure and you two were not alone.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Long exposure for great photos. In many places the lights were not that visible for the naked eye but showed well on photos, for example outside Windsor, North London, etc.
22:02 OMG…you’re driving on the wrong side of the road!! 😮 Really enjoyed that though!
Glad you enjoyed it!
