  • Who is Melchizedek: Who was Melchizedek and why should we care?
There is a question that comes up here on youtube all the time "who is Melchizedek?". Sometimes its from the Mormon church that believes they are of the Melchizedekian order, and sometimes it's from people hanging out on the Jewish Mysticism side of Wikipedia. But how do Protestants answer the question "who is Melchizedek"? Well, in this episode of Remnant Radio we will be tackling the Melchizedekian mystery. Is Melchizedek Shem, Is Melchizedek Jesus, or is Melchizedek a pagan priest? Hope you guys enjoy the discussion!

I talk to Christians with a variety of backgrounds, and I get confused about what following God and reading Scripture is supposed to be about. On the one hand, I come across people who have the mindset of "major on the majors, minor on the minors", AKA focus more on the central and important parts of the Bible and faith and be flexible with the stuff on the fringe. Then I come across other people who make claims that there is so much more to the Bible that the Church doesn't talk enough about, and make it sound like God wants the Church to mature in our understanding of this deep, mysterious, spiritual stuff. So when I come across Hebrews 5:11, which says "About [Melchizedek] we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing," does this mean that Melchizedek is a fringe topic that the Church doesn't need to spend much time on, or that there's something super profound about Melchizedek but the Church is not mature enough to understand it? And as for me as an individual Christian, what's most important for me and my faith? I've wondered the same thing with other mysterious OT stuff like Enoch, Nephilim, Leviathans, numerology, etc. -- should we analyze these things for deep spiritual truths, or are we better off focusing on other things?

There are many things that go way deeper in the bible.
I feel all of them have helped me with a greater understanding of the bible.
I was actually thinking about starting a series on "truths of the bible why it matters"
But Yes Enoch all 3 books a Must clears up so many many questions.
Nephuilliums 100%, learning about the giants.and how they were created help you to understand that angels missing with humans Was a big no no in God's eyes. That is why He flooded the earth.
We also know it says in end times will be like the days of Noah (Noe) and what are we doing now?
Mixing and changing thr DNA just like they did.
Now learning the truth about how Satan really seduced Eve, and anyone who truly knows their bible knows it was not with an apple.
To me this is the most important "truth" to understand because see the truth is God "created" man so he was a creator. Satan wanted to be like God so he wanted to create man.
Well he couldn't because there is only one creator and that's God, so he had to have sex with Eve to create "abel" and than Eve had sex with Adam creating "Cain"
They were born one right after each other if you have eyes to see when reading the Passage about their birth.
You notice God has favor with Cain, not Abel. You notice Abel is the evil one.
So we learn alot of things here we learn that Satan spend his life even today trying to "mirror" God because he can never be God.
We learn that Satan is less than God always was always will be.
Another great one is learning it was God who allowed Judas to betray Jesus. When you read the Text you see how Jesus controlled the whole situation from the time he allowed Satan to Enter Judas to the time Jesus "controlled" Satan to get out.
Which shows Jesus has and always will have complete control over Satan
So yes learning the truths are very important to know. There are some scriptures where preacher have preached saying the Scripture was talking about the antichrist when in all reality it was talking about Jesus.
Best thing is to test every spirit, ask God to show you the truth and to repent and ask God to clean your heart of sin daily.
Time is running out, stay in His word and keep looking to Him for answers

Ask God to reveal you the Truth. The Truth will set us free. Like what time we are in ? The mark of the beast ? Are you worthy to be bride of Jesus ? Are we to keep the commandements ? Who assemble the Bible ? The Bible is the Word of God ?
If you search with a sincere heart, God will reveal all things to you.
The Truth may not be what you want it to be or except.
      God bless you

Michael Heiser actually makes the argument that uncovering his father's nakedness could mean that he slept with Noah's wife (or his mother), R-wording her. The euphemistic language would indicate that, as well as the curse falling upon his son.

Greetings. Did I hear Joshua saying something about us not knowing who currently belongs to the tribe of Levi? If so, here's something you guys might find interesting and wish to research further. On Page 137 of Arnold Fruchtenbaum's book 'Footsteps of the Messiah' (2018 revised edition) he says that everyone with the surname 'Levi, Levy, Levin, Levine, Leventhal, Levinson, Cohen and other comparable names' are descendants from the tribe of Levi. They are the only tribe that can still be currently identified by their name and this is important because when the next temple is built, the Jewish people know who they can call on to come and fulfil the role of temple priesthood. Fascinating eh? Quick point: I'm not endorsing Arnold's book which emphasises the pretrib rapture view, I'm just quoting it in relation to the surname thing which, if true, is an interesting fact. Adieu mes amis.

You cannot have an adequate and fair discussion about this topic without reading and discussing Dr. Ken Johnson's book The Ancient Order of Melchizedek. He deals with the scripture, the Dead Sea Scrolls and the 11Q Melchizedek document in the scrolls that deal with who and what the Order of Melchizedek is. It is the most scripturally grounded discussion and teaching on the subject.
I know Mike Heiser has done some great work that has helped those of us in the church that are hungry for a deeper understanding, but Heiser has become a near cult following by too many that take him more serious than the scripture and DSS. I pray for him and discernment for all that they give Jesus the glory and not Mike.

Think about Christ; He was born of the Holy Spirit, He was annointed by the Holy Spirit, He was led by the Holy Spirit, He was led to the cross by the Holy Spirit, He was resurrected by the Holy Spirit. And Jesus is the High Priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

The graph is wrong. Shem didn't live to even see Abraham. Septuagint has the correct genealogy. Confirmed by New testament. Between Eber and Selah there is Cainan. Masoretic excludes Cainan and shaves off 100 years from everyone, and 50 years from nahor. If you read Jesus genealogy Cainan is included. So Jesus confirms the septuagint.

Then Adam and Eve have Seth and others daughters and sons. There is theory that Cain was the son of satan and Eve and Abel the son of Adam and Eve. So that is maybe explanation for the two species...
