@@HouseOfThe8Stringsboth teams were pretty bad. pretty sure florida fumbled on the one and tennessee missed a couple field goals. most of the game was pretty hard to watch
LSU does owe felipe franks. Go ahead and give him an honorary ring. Without him thinking it was best not to go to LSU the Undefeated season doesn't happen.
Hey man great content! For a video idea, can you give possible outcomes if Georgia chooses either Justin Fields or Jacob Eason over Jake Fromm? Do they win the title in 2018 if they have a different starter?
You brushed over the 2016 season but instead of redshirting Franks could’ve gotten the backup spot as Harris lost the starting job after the Jacksonville State game. A win via Franks against Auburn and general offensive stability might save Miles’ job for at least the next season which mean Coach O probably never gets the HC job even after Miles is gone whenever that would be in this alternate timeline
As a LSU fan it's crazy to think about how the Franks decommittment triggered a series of events. I think its safe to say that with Franks we probably don't win the nattty this year, but could Franks have played well enough to save Les Miles' job? We'll never know 🤷🏿♂️ One other point, I don't think Burrow develops into a first round pick, much less No. 1 overall and Heisman winner if he commits to Cincinnati. He wouldn't have had the talent around him or the system to put up the monster numbers he had.
LSU coaches would have been smart enough to bench him sooner rather than later unlike Florida. I think a lot of D1 coaches feel like they owe it to upperclassmen to give them the starting job. Kyle Trask is light years ahead of Frank’s and all it took was watching him play a half against Kentucky. Honestly if Franks didn’t get injured Florida would probably still be starting him
If Burrow were at Cincinnati they probably would have gone undefeated last year. The team was really good and if Burrow played as well as he did, he could've been up for the Heisman.
LSU fans were pissed when we missed on both Felipe Franks and Shea Patterson in that 2016 recruiting cycle. We went from two highly regarded QB recruits to none. In hindsight, those recruiting whiffs set the stage for the 2019 championship season. We would never have won a title with either of those two guys at QB.
Isn’t this true in many cases, I mean like players leave schools and switch commitment all the time. Just because one player changes schools and “scares” a player from coming doesn’t change much because it happens all the time. CC was a big reason FF was committed to LSU in the first place. Miles was inexplicably not fired after the end of the 2015 season, with CC sort of serving as the scapegoat for why the offense was so bad.
