Basic Bannock Recipe:
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup powdered milk
1 tsp cooking oil
add flavourings to your liking

Dude, I mix ketchup with my favorite hot sauce for my overnights. Has it's own tiny bottle - along with my cache of favorite backpacking spices. I've been camping, backpacking, kayaking, canoeing for over 53 years and I'm always on the look-out for people that share how much they enjoy the outdoors. Your videos have great individual style. Ignore the nay-sayers - Rock on!
I used to eat ketchup on scrambled eggs when I was a kid. Can't stand it on my eggs now. but I have to say that when I started mixing it with hot sauce I started liking it a lot more again and may revisit it on eggs some day.
Hi Andy I stopped last night in lovely Alnwick after a right day of it. Went to Manchester in the morning and then back to Sheffield for a trailer swop. Phew what a day. Half a hour of bird song (no diesel and no radio) and then I watched this very vid. It was sheer bliss. I was near a McDonalds and you inspired me to ACTUALLY do some cooking. Good food GREAT sleep. tx.

Love when you make bannock. Reminds me of Native American fry bread. Same ingredients basically. I also love it when you say: I'd be rude not to. That makes me smile. Reminds me of Minnesota nice. You probably haven't heard of that expression. :)

This video is far better than other bushcraft video out there. Talk when needed and perform task and letting other people watch and be inspired. Other videos out there are just full on BLAH BLAH BLAH...without letting or giving the audience time to breath. Those TH-camr forgot the simple saying.... "Action Speak Louder Than Words".

A bit heavier than your average poly tarp, but worthwhile especially when it's colder. You really have your cooking down too brother. See you on the next adventure, cheers!

Hi Andy, great camp out again. I’m a big fan of a polish poncho tent (you can take this advise or leave it ) but you’ve got it set up inside out.
We used these in our Dungeness video inspired by your camp out there.
PS don’t treat it, just season it by putting it up and leaving it for about 4 weeks, just try and keep the edges off the ground.
It’ll be bomb proof.
We enjoy your videos Andy, hope your truck feels better soon. We're going to try making those kebabs and pitta bread from your last video :) the wild camping, shelter builds and cooking are brill keep it up. Cheers

excellent video & a sweet little set-up.. the string length for the lavvu pole is a neat one. that sausage tree looked more like something from a chapman brothers installation!
love the trolling but adding some tabasco to your T.S. would make it oh soo much tastier!
i watched this with a mate from italy who occasionally comes 'old-school-camping' with me when she's over.. and now wants me to buy a saw like yours.. 'to build a little tree house'.. so thanks for that ;) ha!

In the US they make this thing called pac safe. It may be one word. Anyway it is this wire mesh you can’t cut through with a torch and a loop wraps around tree and you use your own lock. I found it perfect to attach to a tree cover with leaves and leave at camp between visits. Allows you. It to keep carrying small stuff repeatedly. .
Great video yet again, there's nothing better than dead horse (tomato sauce) on ya snags, it's the only way to go. Congratulations on the magazine article, keep up the great work.
