You should’ve changed out the foot well lights
I personally like warm white lights better but mega thanx for the tutorial overall, saved me from taking apart the rear view mirror.
Rear view mirror lights cannot be replaced. They are wired to circuit board. Just wanted to share so no else goes through the hell I did taking it apart and putting it back together. Aside from that thanks flexx for this guide. Very useful and I love your view on mods. This video and many more from you are super helpful! Cheers!
Just done my interior and it has totally transformed it, highly recommended and so easy, also did the boot (trunk) bulbs 👍🏻

Are there warm-white LEDs available? The blueish ones are far to cold imho… I like it cosy and blue led lights are just not cosy. Thnx for the tutorial!
That’s crazy my c250 has rear view mirror leds already it’s a 2014 still need to changes the headlights 😎
to swap the lights on the inside mirror you have to remove the covers at the bottom of the mirror and pull out the old lights with pliers
Hey, 1 question - is it 1 action so I can open the bottom panel straight or do I need to start with front „frame“?
You forgot the trunk light brother. Also, I searched all over eBay, and noticed that you can get the same lights for super super cheap if you buy them from China. Just search 194 LED. My only concern is that they may not be the same quality. Can anyone comment on this?
So kudos, I think You did A great job with showing how to install all the LEDS, I Basically went on Ebay and got 20x ULTRA white LED bulbs for around $15...... But my rear sedan dome light takes 3, 2 of the 168/194 Bulb and then 1 center , I can get back but I was pretty impatient so I went to Advanced Auto and bought the 1 Buld LED I needed, it fit perfect, super bright, it's the main light that comes on when doors are unlocked,locked, it's a 6418 WHITE LED. Tube bulb with silver arrowheads on each end... Was like $8. Anyways, I replaced Every light, trunks, glovebox, overhead vanity dome, rear dome=3, flip down driver/passenger mirror lights, , SO I was so Pleased , How could everything go this easy and smooth with NO ERRORS.... WELL, THEN CAME THE LAST 2 BULBS. I HAD THE the bulbs, the same ones exact ones I used for the rest of my car, however when I went to replace them I kept getting wierd things happening.. So at first I thought maybe my bulb was bad, but I still had like 10 left, then I thought the door was open too long, maybe it timed out... No , that's not it, so I took out both of my LEDS, AND TRIED THE FACTORY again, well I was so happy to see that they both turned on and I Didn't blow a fuse. So then I installed 2 Phillips LED WHITE Bulbs while the factory were still lit... so YES passenger stayed on!, now on to driver side.... it was still on, so I removed factory and put in the other Phillips LED, WOW ,So now both are lit so closed my drivers door, and low and behold lol, now I have 2 LED under my feet factory area, and they first started blinking on/off every 5 seconds.... so now wtf??? Im stuck.... this is why FLEXX Did not mention or show us him changing the foot pedal lights out I'm 100% certain, and if I'm wrong , let me know how to fix it. So Anyways I'm not getting any error codes, but it's so strange it's, almost like reverse polarity, by this I mean I did this in my garage close to dark, and when I start up my car, now I have those 2 LEDS WHITE ON ALL THE TIME!!!! I thought well this could be a good thing. I own a super clean sharp White 2014 C300 Sport, so I was thinking maybe I order 2 bulbs in a different color, or a pair with app.... if their gonna stay on while driving...???? Any thoughts here what I should do, or has this occurred to you??? PLEASE HELP ANY way u can!!! Thanks, james

I tried replacing the lights that are under the dash, the ones that light up the floor of the driver and passenger side, but when I do it, I replace one side (passenger), it lights up...then as soon as I move on to the driver side and replace that one, the lights stop working. I'm guessing it has something to do with the voltage. I bought another set that claims to be error free, hopefully that works.
BTW, I thought the same way when I was looking at the rear view mirror lights. Looked complicated and felt more like I'm gonna break something if I tried 😂

LED’s are ok for number plates, puddle lights, footwells and sidelights but for interior reading lights they’re just too white, too bright and too unreliable. I did this to my C250 and found the white light was just too clinical so changed them back to incandescent.

On my 2008 C the only one factory installed led I have, are on the rear view mirror..
Do you know what Bulb it is, mine has a Xenon colour temperature which looks awesome but no idea what sort of bulb it is

It's different for the rear lights in the sedan. It's a pain in the ass.
Hey flex, do you know where the fuse for the front center peice lights is? The main lights that automatically turn on when you open the door , i was trying to install rgb leds and i have short-circuited them and heard a slight pop noise , I dont know if the fuse is there inside de centre piece or is it in one of the fuse boxes !! Any error messages from the car ecu?
There’s errors stored in the system but no annoying visible error lights on the dashboard.
The errors are no big deal. The car just doesn’t detect the bulbs because they use very low voltage so the car thinks it’s missing bulbs.
You won’t get errors if you use canbus leds
which ones are CANBUS?

what about puddle lights?
It’s harder to install the backseat lights on the C250 sedan and the middle bulb is long and the led bulb is shorter so it doesn’t fit
xArchyv2 bend the contacts slightly in, this is what I did and it works fine 👍🏻

You are right to not change map light at rear mirror. It isn't worth to do that.
man...it was a pain. After the "guts" fell out...I was like...yeah..screw this. Not worth it.
Better rgb or something like a blue or red but this pure white looks like otilet light not that nice for a merc,i like incandescent better than this white.but rgb make that shit red or blue will look sick

What the bulb number
I broke the plastic cover lens on the front dome light and cracked it.. it was literally so tight and wouldn’t come out 😭😭 Idk what to do now. I think I have to buy a whole new unit just to replace that 1 singular plastic cover lens and they’re expensive. If yours is hard to take out too, I would just leave it alone it’s not worth it !!!
