Most configurations I've seen put the bottom set of weight pockets on the cumberbun- it puts it in a more "ditchable" confugutration. Great setup though! A lot of warm water divers leave off the aluminum plate as well and just use the "soft plate".
Yes we added ditchable pockets to the front waist band also, with the wings at the surface tend to push you forward in the water, the rear placement helped with trim and stability while at the surface. We dove it with a weight belt until we settled on the final configuration.
This was a most useful tutorial. I just received my new kit with SS plate and wing. Question… Did those rubber tank adapter guards come with the kit or was that a separate purchase?
Why would you put all your weights on your back where they are hard to reach if you need to drop them? I can understand two small trim pockets on the top tank band, but not all your weights. It would more practical to place the bottoms on the waistband.
How come you didn’t follow any of the manufacturers instructions ? Cam band thru wing and plate . And the comfort pad … isn’t that the soft plate ?
Yes, that is the soft plate. I was thinking the same thing.
Just bought the Hog TBCS, and thanks for the sharing.
How was that knife attached in the thumbnail? Looking for a similar setup
Do they still sell the comfort pad I didnt see it listed

The kit never came with tank bands, so they just happened to be on the ones I purchased separately.
@@PEGASUSRESCUE thank you
Very helpful and thorough, thank you!

Some assembly required.
