Metal School is without a doubt one of the best TH-cam channels of all time! Without this channel I would definitely never have started paying attention to Virgin Steel and countless other bands.
Always like to see your collection videos!. Metal School is a fantastic channel, the work he puts into it is just insane. I just watched his Accept episode on my snow day! But anyway loved your collection Darcy!🤘
Great job with the video, fantastic physical collection of Accept and other related material! I half expected to see some Vanize albums (w/ Peter Dirkschneider, Udo's brother, on vocals) on display. 🤘
Typing this message as i watch the video! Superb collection Darcy. Can't wait for the new Accept to be out. Planning on revisiting their discography, but man there is so much stuff coming in the mail. Over 25 cds in the last couple of weeks. 13 more today. I am sick. Help me 😂😂😂!
That Metal School Accept special was really cool indeed. I´m glad I still have my old Accept OGs on the Brain lable. I had the first three as Spanish Pressings as well but I sent them over to Metal Mickey, glad he likes at least those three, hahaha... Is the DVD from the Blind Rage Live from the Bang Your Head Festival? If so, I was at that show. One of my fave shows ever was on the "Blood of the Nations" tour!
Yes it’s from Bang Your Head in Balingen. Ok I’m going to watch again, see if I can find you! I think MM is coming around on Accept, maybe they are his next Running Wild lol. Hope things are going your way brother 🤘
I literally watched that Metal School video last night as well. Great stuff. It inspired me to blast the 90s albums and the last 2 Tornillo albums as admittedly I haven't spent as much time with them as the others. That Humanoid cover is awesome!!! Cheers!!
I got a recommendation for you, Pänzer Send Them All To Hell, Herman Frank guitar, Stefan Schwartzmann drums & Schmier from Destruction on bass & vocals. Check it out if you haven’t already, it’s awesome!
Hey Darcy , i've got every Mark tornillo Accept album and Eat The Heat with David Reece , not a UDO fan . Have you seen the video teaser of the title track 'Humanoid' ? The jury is out on that so far . Cheers mate , dig your passion .😉
Yes I saw the teaser, it honestly sounds like something that could’ve been on any of the past five Accept albums & that’s just fine with this simple old(er) metal fan lol. Always appreciate you stoping by 🤘 Cheers RR
And that’s only a couple! I think you’ll see many more get announced in the next two months. 2024 is shaping up to be a great year in Metal 🤘 Cheers Matthew
I first discovered the band with Breaker, a very good heavy metal record, with the classic Son of a Bitch and the fantastic title song. I bought the first album with haha my favorite the ballad Seawinds. Restless and Wild is a classic metal album with the funny intro and the great Fast as a Shark. Balls to the Wall was a little bit disappointing for me because it's to much mid tempo for me. But still a good record. After these albums I only heard some songs from them with the new singer. Teutonic Bastards is a great song. Good to hear that you like this band so much, for me love the old albums but in these years their are so many good bands to follow and to explore. My tip for you Wings of Steel, what a great band. Rock on!
Hi Darcy!! you're right about Metal School, awesome channel with great stuff to watch and learn about the early years of many bands... You have abs awesome Accept collection, i'm still missing the first three studio albums the ones before thei final split with U.D.O. got the chance to see them live on their Stalingrand tour and they record their live show here and it's part of the deluxe edition of Blind Rage.... so now let's what the band have to offer with their new album. cheers and be well
Excellent Accept collection, Darcy! I never heard of Metal School; I'm going have to check that channel out. I know you'll be very hyped for Accept's new album Humanoid when it comes out.
Great showcase of the Accept collection there Darcy. A very consistent band. I think I'll give a couple of those earlier albums a listen as it's been a while, as well as Too mean to die. Will check out the metal school channel, some how it's bypassed me.
I also just saw the Metal School video! :) Got Breaker, Balls to the Wall and Objection Overruled, along with U.D.O.'s Touchdown and We Are One, signed by Peter Baltes and Udo Dirkschneider after the U.D.O. concert I attended this weekend. Fun show - absolutely go see them if they come to play in your area! Cool to see your collection, one of my favourite Accept-adjacent albums is Iron Allies' self-titled album with Herman Frank, David Reece (both ex-Accept) and Francesco Jovino (ex-U.D.O.) from 2022. Of the non-regular studio albums, All Areas - Worldwide is my go-to live album. And the Udo Dirkschneider cover album My Way was fun! Also excited to see clips with Joel Hoekstra as stand in guitarist for Philip Shouse on the upcoming South American tour and European festivals in the summer. Hoekstra is one of my favourite guitarists right now, and he'll be playing with what may verry well be my all-time favourite metal band!
I have Iron Allies, it’s awesome! That band also includes Mike Pesin on guitar from the Herman Frank band. So cool that you got all that stuff signed! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Canada
Funny how one finds bands. I bought the first album, or what i thought was the first album, a year after when it came out, purely as to the cover : ) Most 'heavy rock' bands i knew of kinda had these type of somewhat cheesy covers, so i kinda knew what to expect : ) Turns out the wrong vinyl was in there, it was I'm a Rebel, so ended up buying the first album again. At that time had no idea what the I'm a Rebel cover was like : ) Breaker, after, was the best heavy rock/metal (studio) album i'd heard up until that point. All the early albums on vinyl, except for some reason i got Balls to the Wall on cassette : ) But anyhoo, for fear of babbling, just to say very enjoyable video. Been meaning to comment at some time, as i often watch your stuff. And i know it was partly the algorithm's doing, but just watched the majority of 'Metal school's' Accept video before watching this. So neatly leapt across to here : ) Long may your channel continue Darcy : ))
Thanks for the kind words & plz babble on all you want ha ha. I’m hoping the first 3 get reissued on vinyl at some point, even a nice little box set would be cool! Hope to chat with you again 🤘 Have a great weekend :))
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 That'll be neat if it comes about. I'm finding out that plenty of early albums are being re-released, in boxsets or whatever, even ones that i thought were dead and buried! And thanks, plus you have a great rest of weekend too.
I didn’t start listening to Accept until a few years ago when I started watching your channel. I always thought of them as that band with one good song because Balls To The Wall was the only thing that I ever heard anyone play. Man was I wrong! I still have 4 albums that I need to pick up but they are such a great band. Humanoid will be my first day one purchase from Accept.
Nice collection of Accept albums, looks like I am missing a couple. For an acceptable charge Udo agreed to sing for me tomorrow evening. I heard he invited a few hundred other guys as well but that's OK. Looking forward to hear the new songs live so I have to admit that my main focus is on Primal Fear as starting band. I also love that you mentioned the other solo albums from other former Accept members. I love Hermann's stuff but his recording quality needs to improve a little.
I'm still only familiar with the UDO years and that's enough for me. Restless and Wild being the cream of the crop. Great collection Darcy always great to hear your thoughts.
Accept is one of my absolute favorite metal bands! As much as I LOVE the Udo albums, I listen to the Mark Tornillo albums more. Everything they’ve released with Mark is unbelievably great as well as the albums with Udo. Can’t wait for the new Accept album!🤘🏻
Yeah, just watched the Accept Metal School episode. Absolutely loved it!!! Herman Frank is also in the band "Victory". The "Culture Killed The Native" album is out of this world Awesome!!!! Herman Frank also plays on the "Touch of Sin" Sinner album. Also check out the band Sinner if you haven't.
Another big Accept fan here! Wolf Holfmann is a true heavy metal hero. Thanks for showing your collection and I’ve also been a fan since ‘83. Here is my collection: Restless and Wild CD Balls To The Wall CD Metal Heart vinyl (Music On Vinyl) Russian Roulette cassette Objection Overruled vinyl (Music On Vinyl) Blood Of The Nations CD Stalingrad CD Blind Rage vinyl The Rise Of Chaos vinyl Too Mean To Die vinyl Humanoid 🤖 ?? The U.S. versions of Restless and Wild and Balls To The Wall were 6 months to a year later than the German releases - 1983 and 1984 respectively. The Balls To The Wall album cover without the logo is the U.S. version. Also, if I remember correctly all of the guitar parts on Balls To The Wall (like Restless And Wild) are actually played by Wolf only. This info was revealed in a guitar article many years ago. Anything Hermann recorded for the album was ultimately not used. Stefan Schwarzmann I believe plays on the bonus track on the Helloween album Rabbit Don’t Come Easy. The track is a cover of Fast As A Shark. Their original pick for a drummer, Mark Cross, had fallen ill while making the Rabbit album. They managed to get Mickey Dee, but only as a studio musician. Then they hired Stefan to go on tour and decided to do the bonus track.
Wolf is a phenomenal guitar player, just to think that’s all him on Restless and Wild & Balls To The Wall. Thanks for watching and thank you for the great comment 🤘 Cheers from Canada

Great collection you have. Its like another world that 5 years age gap between us at times. I never heard them til around early 89. I won't say its been easy but i find that some bands thst are easy can then just as easy fall off my radar again. Im just concentrating on listening to the first 10 years for now.
