Finally a space gray unboxing! As MUCH as I like the new Midnight color, I just know overtime it'll get chipped all around (especially around the charing ports) and more fingerprints showing.. I think I'm gonna get space gray. So classy. It'll match more with my graphite 13 Pro! Not the same color as the phone, but it'll go together better than the Midnight option.
I thought I should buy space gray too, but I like midnight more. If used carefully, it won't scratch, and fingerprints don't bother me, frankly. But space gray is also a nice color.
I saw the new MacBook Airs at the Apple Store today. Starlight and Space Grey looked the best in my opinion, Silver looked good too. I expected to like Midnight the most, but it was my least favourite by a wide margin.
I don’t like how the midnight one has a tinge of blue in it. You never want to mix different temperatures of gray together. It’s the biggest design faux pas you can make. Every day this company strays away from John Ives
Which of these two is better for a university use (take notes, watching videos, using excel and other stuff)?: -MBA with 512 of SSD and 8gb of RAM - MBA with 256 gb of SSD (with the storage issue) and 16 go of RAM Considering that I would like to keep this MacBook for at least 5-6 years
Definitely the former configuration of 512GB SSD and 8GB RAM. These new base model 256GB machines have only one SSD NAND chips which translate to half the read and write speed. M1 bass model had double the speed ( since 256GB was split into 2x 128GB NAND chips). So with the higher 512GB SSD model you will get 2 SSD NAND Chips each of 256GB. Plus since you would be in university, I assume u wouldn’t have to do RAM hungry tasks but rather would like to have more memory. Even if you did want to extra ram, these SSDs are so fast it could be used as a RAM ( swamp memory). So definitely go for the 512GB version.
Just ordered the Space Grey as I'm writing this on my early '15 MB Pro Retina. It will match most of my Golf wardrobe which is very important. I have to wait close to 2.5 weeks but I don't care, I have the early '15 MB Pro that's been a good friend.
@@lambertj.2892 I am not wrong I am a IT manager. MacBook Air's are not designed for high demanding tasks such as video editing and get hot. That is why they have the Pro models which are a lot better and don't have this problem. Air is OK for office apps.
Not weird if you'd use it enough to warrant the purchase but it is an expensive machine. I usually use desktop but love this for using around the house, in bed since there are no fans, etc.

I have a PC currently. Would it be weird if I bought this as a side laptop? Im unsure about multitasking and all
