I got mine 3 days ago!!! I love it sooo much. I was kind of sad I didn't get midnight, but the paint (especially by the ports) it chips a lot, and I think it gets more finger print than the space grey. I ended uo getting this case from amazon and it made my grey look like a midnight tho so problem solved 😂

If anyone else gets one spec it up. The base model is even slower than the m1 air in most scenarios but when it’s specced up it’s rlly powerful
spec it up how? add more ram?
@@lieutenant188 more ram and storage so u have two NAND ssd chips making us faster and so the laptop doesn’t have to rely on ssd storage as ram is when it is using too much ram but if it’s still 256 it’ll be rlly slow in speed and ram wise

i made the same switch coming from a Mac Air 2017 to a Mac Air M2 Midnight and I'm loving it so much! Way nicer and such a better feel when typing on it

I got mine yesterday in space gray with 16gb unified memory 512 gb storage and the 8 core, 10 gpu core one :) for school ofc 😂
im using the same one right now, and its definitely a better option than the m1! I was going to get it at first, but when I saw the price difference I just stuck with the m2 because it wasn't as much of a bigger price. this is totally recommended and better than the m1! this will last longer too.
omg I git mine 4 days ago in midnight it’s so pretty but it gets a lot of smudges, I really don’t mind that but overall it’s a great computer! I got 8gb and 512gb

I have had the 15” MacBook in the midnight colour. I wanted the starlight one but I needed the 16gb ram 512gb memory and the only one I could find was the midnight colour, so I just got that one. I was worried about the finger print situation, but it’s not that bad really. I’ve had other dark laptops that are horrible. If you wipe it down with your sleeve or something after using it, which I tend to do anyway because the screen attracts fingerprints, it’s really not that bad.

Do you have any recommendations on where to get a dongle? Since the MacBooks don’t have USB ports. When you mentioned how some adapters get fried, I’m scared to find a dongle that will mess up.
I got mine on Amazon! I would trust bigger brands like UGreen and Anker and check the reviews

I really only use it for SPSS and iMovie. It doesn’t get laggy with imovie sometimes🙁

Would you say the new MacBook Air is heavier than the 2017 MacBook Air? I’m looking to upgrade but I hate laptops that weight like 4.5 or more. I miss the downward slide look on the 2017 laptop/M1. the new one looks so big and heavy
I feel that! I also kind of like the tapered edges🙁 I searched it up: the 2017 is 1.36kg and the M2 1.24kg
Is lighter!! I got the m2 and it was a huge upgrade from my 2017 air. Fr,, my bag felt like I wasn't carrying a laptop (prob cause I was so used to the heavier weight of /lugging around the 2017 air)
