I don't know why people get surprised when they look different from pre-debut, companies spend thousands to figure out the ideal colours, shapes, designs, aesthetics of clothes, make up, hair, accessories, angles that will bring the "best" out of the idol (occasionally they get it wrong but that's life) not including the stylists alone, skin care, dieticians and other personalised services, it'd be the same for everyone if they had access to these services. (some can be done online from videos). the amount of changes knowing these basic things can do to your appearance and confidence.
don't expect to look just like her after all this, they go through needles and treatments and what not to become that flawless, but trust me you're beautiful the way you are

I find it interesting that Jisoo doesn't have any "standout" features and I feel like her style didn't change that much. She is the type of beauty that doesn't catch your eye immediately but the more you look at her, the more beautiful she becomes without changing anything. Why is that? Is it because her facial proportions are "perfect" to begin with (she doesn't have a long or a short face, a wide nor a thin nose, etc...)? I had the same experience with Grace Kelly who was considered as one of the most beautiful women in the world, she doesn't have any standout features like Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn or Elizabeth Taylor yet on beauty, she seems on par with them. Yep! Her face is very harmonized. Nothing is too big or too small, which makes people not pay attention to her at first as no features of hers overpowers each other, like say, Jennie's cat eyes, Lisa's lips/eyes and Rosé's cheeks/eyes. But the more you look at her, the more you realize how perfect balanced her features are and you can't help but be amazed at how everything is harmonized.

I think it's because dark hair atracts light more and creates more shadow on your face which is better for people with chubbier cheeks (like me 🥲, cuz i still havent lose my baby). Meanwhile lighter shade hair doesnt create much shadow and adds more volume sideways for longer face shape 👀

It can create darker shadows, but that would deepen the shadows in round faces/chubby cheeks, making them seem even bigger. Just think, a shiny and bright object in a pitch dark room, versus a light object in a hazy/foggy room. Which object would seem brighter and bigger? And more obvious? Definitely the first one as there is more contrast. Lighter hair is more delicate, and it has less contrast with the face, therefore making the angles less obvious. It’s more gentle and creates less harsh shadows. Also there are many shades of lighter hair. If you feel like you have chubby cheeks, and light blonde makes your face round, I feel a medium hair tone would be the best, as it won’t be too dark or light.

Her face is long so uncovering the sides made her face less long. 3. Her body type looks weak. wearing baggy clothes made it look like she has some volume.

You don't need to body Shame her, she looks perfectly healthy and beautiful and is probably naturally skinny (as most korean women are). She has a nice fast metabolism and looks amazing in baggy and fitted clothes (in most of their performances they do wear fitted clothes)

Not that there’s anything wrong with it but no matter how hard a regular person tries they won’t have an extreme glow up like rose did without lots of professional help. She gets her hair and makeup done by pros every day, her diet is planned and she can afford the best foods, she has a stylist that tells her what she looks good in. what make rosé's look work so well is that blond don't stand out, most of the time idol go blond and choose a color that really pop out and make them edgy/sexy aka "the typical blond asian girl that granny doesn't like and complaing about youth" but rosé look even more innocent and gracefull with blond hair, because they choose the good tone and styled it in a flowy and cute style. When she went into a lighter color, she gotten edgier/rock vibe matching YSL vibe, yet them made the descision to enhence her beauty by matching her skin tone and making her makeupr darker and sexier goign with a matte look, not glossy. a great work from a team. Many idol look good with blond but don't try to make it their own. yuna from Itzy look good in blond because they used it to make her look more youthfull and energic, styling her hair in free and fresh look, even her pony tails are voliminus , she made it her own. Wendy from red velet look really pretty but it didn't look natural. Wendy's white bleach styled sould have been with pink under tone, or give her barbie's hair in blond strawberry. No yellow tone no blue/purpule both make the yellow root look really unatural. When she went full yellow blond it wasn't quite it, she look much nicer with pinckish blond, it make her sexy and elegent.

I saw some personal color professionals say she is something called "Light autumn". I think it's in the 16 type color system or something light that. But light hair color truly makes her look best and helps making a focal point in the highest contrast of her face: the pupil of the eyes!

i feel like everyone in this group all evens out each other. lisa the one who catches your eye first with her iconic bangs and features that make you go wow. rosé with her soft features and soft personality(mild) not noticeable but the more you look at her the more she becomes pretty. jisoo is like rosé with less prominent features that if you piece apart might seem awkward but when you put them together their the prettiest combination ever. jennie has very sharp noticeable features that just stand out anywhere
I can hardly believe Rosé got plastic surgery. If people saw my 9th grade photos they’d think I’d got PS too. People don’t realize the smallest angle changes/food you eat changes the prominence of the double eyelid folds…You can still even see it happening to rosé even today as they still seem to pop in and out of photos/certain angels in videos. The most obvious tell she hasn’t had her eyelids done, is that theres no “cut crease” when she looks down-just the normal light wrinkle of where the eyelid naturally folds. No matter how good the surgery, every plastic surgeon guarantees you can tell if people get their eyelids done, because they will still have the double eyelid when they close their eye/blink due to the fact it’s now a *cut* and not a natural *folding* of the eyelid. It’s such a shame to see people in these comments immediately throw “PS!!” as soon as they see any asian idol. PS is just as prevalent in kpop as it is in western pop…however no one hardly jumps the bullet of “PS!!” whenever they see any beautiful western celebrity. And while I don’t believe plastic surgery is a bad thing regardless: it’s quite something to ignore the obvious implications of discrimination and prejudice people are throwing towards Asian women. I really think that blonde hair makes a significant difference for people with soft facial features. I went platinum a few years ago and I have curly hair, and I look so much better than when I had dark brown and black hair.

Being from the U.S. myself, most men find Asian women extremely beautiful. I know a Chinese woman who was surprised how often she was complimented after moving here. The attention she received from people telling her how gorgeous she was, while in her own country she felt unnoticed and was considered average or plain. Then of course look at the “Fox Eye” trend in the West among celebrities having procedures to look more Eastern. As far as I’m concerned Rosé is an absolute angel, Jennie is the sexiest woman on the planet, Lisa is too cool too cute and too hot to handle, and Jisoo is a classic beauty. The West just needs to pay more attention to what people really think but are too stubborn and stuck in old fashioned ways.

I just wanted to say that I have always been amazed at how great stylists are. They just don’t run out of ideas to try out that result to enhancing one’s beauty and I’m truly in awe bc I’ve always thought that the ONLY way to enhance beauty is through plastic surgery - turns out that there are actually tons of other ways, too! Also, as one of the biggest Fansés, I loved this video a lot. It made me understand more about Rosie’s incredibly improving appearance throughout the years. And though I may sound biased here, I love her either way ㅠㅠ She’s one of the prettiest creatures I’ve ever laid my eyes on.
I mean, just like what it says in the end - it’s really about understanding yourself better and emphasizing your best feature. So yeah, I’m amazed ㅠㅠㅠ their stylists are doing such GREAT job!

Not that there’s anything wrong with it but no matter how hard a regular person tries they won’t have an extreme glow up like rose did without lots of professional help. She gets her hair and makeup done by pros every day, her diet is planned and she can afford the best foods, she has a stylist that tells her what she looks good in. The regular person wouldn’t be able to afford these things.
You can do everything and anything you want in this life it just takes effort. Especially with the internet and knowledge we have today anything is possible.

what make rosé's look work so well is that blond don't stand out, most of the time idol go blond and choose a color that really pop out and make them edgy/sexy aka "the typical blond asian girl that granny doesn't like and complaing about youth" but rosé look even more innocent and gracefull with blond hair, because they choose the good tone and styled it in a flowy and cute style. When she went into a lighter color, she gotten edgier/rock vibe matching YSL vibe, yet them made the descision to enhence her beauty by matching her skin tone and making her makeupr darker and sexier goign with a matte look, not glossy. a great work from a team.
Many idol look good with blond but don't try to make it their own. yuna from Itzy look good in blond because they used it to make her look more youthfull and energic, styling her hair in free and fresh look, even her pony tails are voliminus , she made it her own. Wendy from red velet look really pretty but it didn't look natural. Wendy's white bleach styled sould have been with pink under tone, or give her barbie's hair in blond strawberry. No yellow tone no blue/purpule both make the yellow root look really unatural. When she went full yellow blond it wasn't quite it, she look much nicer with pinckish blond, it make her sexy and elegent.

I saw some personal color professionals say she is something called "Light autumn". I think it's in the 16 type color system or something light that.
But light hair color truly makes her look best and helps making a focal point in the highest contrast of her face: the pupil of the eyes!

i feel like everyone in this group all evens out each other. lisa the one who catches your eye first with her iconic bangs and features that make you go wow. rosé with her soft features and soft personality(mild) not noticeable but the more you look at her the more she becomes pretty. jisoo is like rosé with less prominent features that if you piece apart might seem awkward but when you put them together their the prettiest combination ever. jennie has very sharp noticeable features that just stand out anywhere

I can hardly believe Rosé got plastic surgery. If people saw my 9th grade photos they’d think I’d got PS too. People don’t realize the smallest angle changes/food you eat changes the prominence of the double eyelid folds…You can still even see it happening to rosé even today as they still seem to pop in and out of photos/certain angels in videos. The most obvious tell she hasn’t had her eyelids done, is that theres no “cut crease” when she looks down-just the normal light wrinkle of where the eyelid naturally folds. No matter how good the surgery, every plastic surgeon guarantees you can tell if people get their eyelids done, because they will still have the double eyelid when they close their eye/blink due to the fact it’s now a *cut* and not a natural *folding* of the eyelid.
It’s such a shame to see people in these comments immediately throw “PS!!” as soon as they see any asian idol. PS is just as prevalent in kpop as it is in western pop…however no one hardly jumps the bullet of “PS!!” whenever they see any beautiful western celebrity.
And while I don’t believe plastic surgery is a bad thing regardless: it’s quite something to ignore the obvious implications of discrimination and prejudice people are throwing towards Asian women. In any viral video I’ve ever seen praising an Asian woman’s beauty, there’s always insurmountable comments quick to shut down the compliments since “it’s all fake/plastic” in comparison to when any western influencer go viral for their beauty. It’s as if people assume any pretty Asian woman “must’ve had something done” because there’s just no conceivable way Asian women can be beautiful naturally the same way white women can 😐😐

I really think that blonde hair makes a significant difference for people with soft facial features. I went platinum a few years ago and I have curly hair, and I look so much better than when I had dark brown and black hair.

Being from the U.S. myself, most men find Asian women extremely beautiful. I know a Chinese woman who was surprised how often she was complimented after moving here. The attention she received from people telling her how gorgeous she was, while in her own country she felt unnoticed and was considered average or plain. Then of course look at the “Fox Eye” trend in the West among celebrities having procedures to look more Eastern. As far as I’m concerned Rosé is an absolute angel, Jennie is the sexiest woman on the planet, Lisa is too cool too cute and too hot to handle, and Jisoo is a classic beauty. The West just needs to pay more attention to what people really think but are too stubborn and stuck in old fashioned ways.
