Bro, that seizure one is fucking messed up. Those lights are strobe-y af too. Also, Shushu was due to the altitude. It’s a place in Mexico and most idols complain how difficult the performance is.
I can understand, theres a city in my country which is way high up, otw there my ears felt like they were about to burst and i couldn't sleep because my head was aching, now imagine dancing tirelessly
At 6:10 I couldn't believe that they could just leave her like that, what horrible people, popular or not its not right to just let someone have a seizure and not try to help.
@K4iOfficial Firstly, I've seen it the other way where a member is hurt and the backup dancers are strictly told not to ask them for help if they themselves don't ask for the dancers help because then it throws everyone off. Dreamcatcher is my favorite for many reasons, but the biggest being for that if someone goes down, their montra is to help them back up and if they can't get up, you stop right then and there and help them anyway. But yeah, Backup dancers get the short end of the stick unfortunately.

a friend of mine had a seizure once in class and we were all told to get away for her safety and not to touch her. only touch them if theyre actively in danger (could hurt themselves on something nearby) though i do think they shouldve put something under her head so she doesnt injure it on the hard stage there wasnt much else to do other than get off the stage and stop performing but they wouldve been fired or worse for doing so unfortunately.
Yes but they also barely got pause days between concerts and had the concert in mexico right after they arrived, which is a widely known problem that Cube literally ignored. Most artists who have to perform in mexico city nowadays take at least a day to get adjusted to the altitude. Plus, Yuqi said the members barely slept during the last world tour, their schedule was horrible 😩
I hope ppl understand that this is WAY worse than “busy schedules” that lead to this. Crazy diets and not enough nourishment, overworking… there’s nothing normal about this. They work in ways that would be illegal in some countries…. And so if you see videos of an idol having an off singing day… struggling to do choreo during multiple concerts and go to hate on them bc your fave group is “so much better” than these other ones… remember that all of this industry is working that hard. Nobody is perfect and dragging them over bad performances or bs like that just shows inhumane you are. These are human beings… I don’t want or need perfection from them… and if you expect it out of anyone…. Well, karma is a bitch. Educate yourself and have some compassion ffs
I can't imagine having to go through rigorous choreo practice and back-to-back stage performances on such ridiculous diet. They barely get the protein they need on a daily basis, it's no wonder there are so many cases of idols dropping on the stage.
I have Chaeyoung from Twice on bubble and she said as she got off the plane, they immediately starting preparing promoting one spark in Korea. I know Tzuyu got a cold during those months but their schedule.. I don't know how they do it to be honest.
They love what they do and they try not to complain about the amounts of or the number of albums and songs they do. That's why now JYP gives them plenty of time off and not just days but weeks now. It might seem nonstop content, but they enjoy what they do even if it is draining at times. Dreamcatcher always says they are busy but they never complain because they love what they do and who they work with.
@@zaynes5094 Yeah I can't disagree there. We've seen Twice shoot their music videos in the freezing cold but their music videos turned out really good despite Momo getting sea sick in I got you. Even with ITZY, I know a lot of MIDTY's miss Lia, she went on a hiatus the same reason Mina did, but as long as she's getting the proper treatment, I think that's what matters the most. Gotta take care of your mental health first. Even when Twice was here in the states, Dahuyn and Jeongyeon got covid when they were supposed to perform in Seattle, but performed at the next venue. And during one venue, there's one where Jihyo was so fatigued because she was also promoting her solo album that came out last year but she still sang on stage. Props to these idols though, from anxiety to jetlag to covid to a cold to a busy schedule, they do it for the fans.

This is straight up abuse they are starving and given crazy schedules never get rest etc so cruel quit giving money to these companies that don’t care about the artists
When I was younger I toured in a band that opened for some bigger names. Stage lights are HOT. Add weather, high energy moves like these idols do, poor diets trying to stay slim, lack of sleep from appearances, heavy clothing some of the groups wear, I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often. These idols are on the same level as pro athletes. But the human body can only take so much before it shuts down.
Pro athletes and their coaches know that adequate sleep is REQUIRED for muscle recovery and strength building. These managers are stupid to expect performers to do this without proper rest. Injury is inevitable and collapsing like this looks like a consequence of lack of sleep as well, possibly improper diet too.
I'm kind of confused, in 11:04 it looks like the man pushed or pressed the female idol's face against his you know what, was it done intentionally or unintentionally? I apologize if I have misunderstood the man and he was just genuinely concerned about the female idol.
@ShuhuasREAL No, he was keeping her head elevated which is the right thing to do when someone passes out cold like that. However, he shouldn't have been so rough and should've immediately called for water so he could use it to help her come back, not her drinking it but just to splash cold water in the face helps bring them back faster. Happened to Siyeon of Dreamcatcher a while back. Like in 2018 when they were going nonstop and she forget to drink water that morning, well she nearly passed out during warmups and felt really lightheaded but wanted to power through it until her body shut down and all the others were left asking what the problem was. Luckily, since Dreamcatcher care about each other, they wouldn't let her keep going. After that show, they all had agreed on a routine that they still do now, eat and drink water plenty before every show so you're not so dehydrated.
I’m only 2 minutes in and I don’t even want to finish watching this…. It’s so disturbing and inhumane. These poor women. I’m so glad they have each other for support and immediately go to their bandmate when they see them ill, regardless of the show/performance. A combination of overworking, exhaustion, having to be perfect at all times and not eating properly because of weight control will be gruelling for anyone!
The diets the companies make them go on are crazy please to all companies let our idols rest And the hard work they all do We must let our idols rest for once
SeeYa's backdancer going into a seizure was quite a shock. I still remember to this day how SeeYa members and their company were criticized for continuing the performance for nearly a minute while the backdancer collapsed into a seizure. Would they had continued the performance if the actual members collapsed and gone into a seizure??? probably not.. but how the backdancers are looked upon and treated.. it's still a mess to this present day.
nah ok as someone who works and volunteers in healthcare, i could not leave someone seizing on the ground a second after i see them. that can be a genuinely life-threatening situation. i understand needing to be professional on stage but in an emergency where someone could actually just straight-up die, there's no excuse why the staff (and even the other girls on stage) were not on the ground immediately protecting her head. (also NEVER pick someone up during a seizure unless you are in immediate danger, eg a fire. dont move them, dont restrain them, just protect their head, time the seizure and call an ambulance)
This is honestly so heartbreaking to watch…kpop idols work so hard to the point where they are ill…but they still continue to work hard for their fans. I hope that idols can get some rest soo …
Yea, they apologized after the show and most people in the comments are mad at the group for doing nothing, but they couldn't do anything cause they had really strict contracts at the time and if they stopped performing they could've been fired
Only in K-POP. You occasionally see this in athletes. Heat stress, dehydration, and electrolyte imbalances should be better addressed for these hard working performers before this happens. Having medical on standby should be routine. Especially in case of trauma/falls, seizures, etc…
They were under slave contracts, which means thier company is soo strict they can't even help a dancer even if they wanted to. They later visited her at the hospital and gave her flowers and they cried and apologized for not being able to help
That sinb situation is believed to be a product of her trying a new diet regime. After that the company quickly changed it and never happened again atleast on stage.
I believe they were under “slave contracts” and they could have got in serious trouble for helping her or doing anything not allowed on camera I think they also visited her after and apologised
I really wish these poor performers could just choose not to appear on stage if they aren’t feeling well and not feel like they have to stay on. The way that these idol groups get treated is outright disgusting and I find it incredibly disturbing how common these incidents seem to be. Something definitely needs to change.

This is why I’ve never been able to get into K-pop. The way they treat these young people is just despicable. Seeing all these girls starved half the death, the inhumanity of being contractually prohibited from helping someone having a seizure and choking on their own tongue, all the surgery, the rampant suicide… it’s just horrifying. It’s like watching elephants be abused at the circus.
There is also Jessica of girls generation, she has anemia like her sister krystal, she fainted at one of their concerts and left the stage then she came back to continue the concert
I’m honestly a bit surprised I made it until 11:19 before I saw anyone treat an idol fainting with urgency. The girl was shocked, everyone stopped to acknowledge what happened, the man swooped in to check on her without hesitation, and everyone prioritized her health. With how limp she seemed, I could tell they were genuinely scared. I mean, I was too. This girl was knocked out cold, and despite what TV depicts, getting knocked out is a big deal. It can result in a whole lot of health problems that can lead to a decrease in quality of life (and effect her career as an idol, to convince the puppet masters making her dance). Also, I don’t understand how going on with the show dancing around their unconscious/seizing friend is a good look in the eyes of the fans. I was basically screaming “GET HER OFF THE STAGE, WHAT’RE YOU DOING” for most of these.
6:43 what they don’t show is that jungkook was feeling faint at the beginning of the concert…. He finished the ENTIRE concert… and nobody ever knew anything was wrong until the documentary came out bc he barely let it show… there’s so much footage of him back stage where he can barely walk coming off stage bc he gives 200% out there always…. He’s known for his live vocals and powerful performances… it’s sad to see him like that back stage… I’d take a less energized performance w him happy and healthy anyday… but we all know how Kpop Stan’s are… heartless unless it’s their idol or group… it’s so sad. All of them work so so so hard.

If they treated you like that, they are not your friends. I hope you ditched them after they treated you like that. 😮

These Koreans in business are ruthless. They treat them like crap. Slave contracts. The whole country is possessed by fame. Sad.
i don’t think it was on purpose. it looks like he was just rushing to get her off stage and to get treated asap
Agree, rushing her off the stage ASAP like a wet sack of potatoes is WRONG, The fans are understanding, stop the show, take care of him or her, resume the show if the remaining members are ok after refreshments and a break.

It's crazy how their companies will find any excuses except the fact that they are starved to reach the target weight, and way overworked.
Makes me sad, not only are they exhausted but many are starving on those strict diets the company puts them on to keep them skinny. They’re overworked and not getting enough nutrients.
Bro, that seizure one is fucking messed up. Those lights are strobe-y af too. Also, Shushu was due to the altitude. It’s a place in Mexico and most idols complain how difficult the performance is.
No fr bc wtf took them so long??? Like I get the back up dancers are strictly told not to stop dancing but that’s messed up.

Her mouth gaping wide open scares me so bad
Show must go on.
They were under slave contracts at that time. They were contracts which said if the members did anything in front of the camera that the company did not explicitly tell them to, the company could file for breach of contract, and they could be arrested, especially on those times. The members actually went to visit the Dancer in hospital with flowers and they were crying and apologising profusely.
Also, remember, in those times, the company could essentially indirectly kill the members if they didn't do what they wanted.
I'm not excusing the fact that the Dancer should've gotten help straight away, but the members couldn't do anything.
Plus, with all those effects, I'm sure anybody could of had a seizure.
Oh I understand now, thanks
a friend of mine had a seizure once in class and we were all told to get away for her safety and not to touch her. only touch them if theyre actively in danger (could hurt themselves on something nearby) though i do think they shouldve put something under her head so she doesnt injure it on the hard stage there wasnt much else to do other than get off the stage and stop performing but they wouldve been fired or worse for doing so unfortunately.
Shuhua was because of the altitude. They were in Mexico and she had altitude sickness.
Chaeyoung is my bias, I love TWICE...hope they're alright and nothing bad happens to them❤
They don't faint from exhaustion but from weak because of hunger they all go hungry the diets they follow to stay thin are horrible it's sad that Koreans fans like these collapses because for them it means that the artist is trying his best
exactly they dont eat enough to last all these choreography based performances
It breaks my heart seeing idols collapsing onto the floor or fainting.. the company’s over work them to damn much

The unfortunate side of the K-pop factory is the abuse and overwork that K-pop idols have to suffer to make such joyful music that puts a smile on my face. It is terrible when it happens to the women in my favorite group … but it is also awful when it happens to all K-pop idols and their dancers. It’s painful to watch it happen during their performances. This and the constant dieting that the female idols to maintain ridiculous weights must be the worst parts about being an idol.

It's terrifying that when a person feels bad, others pretend that nothing happened
It’s disgusting to see the cameras flash even more when someone faints for real, I am so mad right now
I remember when Yeseo was describing how on Girls Planet one filming session was about 30-36hrs straight lol
Both Krystal and Jessica Jung had problems with fainting because incompetent people in the SM staff wouldn't take their anemia in account when putting them on strict diet plans. The worst thing you can do to an anemia sufferer is take meat out of their diet and their managers kept putting them on meatless diets.
Im also anemic and suffered an eating disorder/anxiety at one point. I felt so dizzy many times at work i thought i was going to faint. I remember bc i was a cashier and couldnt sit down, I had to hang onto my counter. Such a scary feeling!!
@@sabrinaleedance Imagine having to continue singing and dancing then trying to walk off the stage after the performance before fainting because you don't want the children in the audience to get scared while in that same status.
Something is very off when your friend collapses on stage and your first instinct is not to immediately stop singing and help her.
Exactly
I’m pretty sure at the time they were all on some strict contract that they couldn’t disrupt the performance. So if something happened to one of the members, the others weren’t allowed to help them even if they could or they’d face severe consequences. Some of the companies allowed the members to be punished or even killed for not doing what they were asked. I know, it’s messed up.
I've always liked how Mimi looks really annoyed though in OhMyGirl's Bungee performance when Jiho is ill and you can see Jiho start to go down several times and Mimi is looking off to the side as to say like "Are we stopping this or what?" I know she's not doing something huge like stopping the performance completely but she's not ignoring her, she definitely wants to do something
Of course it’s their instinct to help them!! Are you kidding me? These girls are like sisters. There’s something wrong with the music industry for threatening harsh consequences if they listen to their instinct.
I'm always shocked about this, some kpop singers or dancers faint or collapse, and people didn't care about it,or some kpop members get depressed because of people or haters!!!
On my opinions Music industries need all real Physicians with who real licenses in who can checks on idols, including their conditions, healthy lifestyle including situations, if they’re can do shows or not, safety is first Priority, it’s actually 💲 lots, best things to do for others as well too.
When Jimin performed with Taemin, when they left the stage, he collapsed.

He probably panicked, and wanted to get her face away from the cameras as fast as possible. He did get a lot of hate for that tho
