Does this wifi panel have Bluetooth in case your WiFi is not working? Does the app let yiu have pictures of each zone? Bhyve is best option and has these 2 key features and lower price.
Bluetooth is not available; however, if WiFi goes down, the system will still operate as the programming is stored inside the controller. Yes, you can add pictures of each zone, and I agree that B-Hyve is an excellent controller and perhaps better for end users. Hydrswise is designed with the contractor in mind.
I have the original Hunter Pro-C so swapping just the face plate is not an option. Can I replace my pre-2014 Pro-C with something like a new Hunter Pro-HC controller?
Absolutely. Easy DIY project. I recommend taking a picture of the wiring inside your existing Pro-C, then wire it back exactly the same way with your new controller. Done!
Great video thanks! I have one question, do we need to do anything with the previous rain sensor wires? With the new panel installed, does it bypass the physical rain sensor automatically?
Great video - thanks. Just asking for some clarity and cost savings. Wouldn't if be more cost effective to replace the whole controller with the Hydrawise HC1200M? $150 (HC1200M) vs $212 for the retro fit kit (HPC-FP)?
Yes, this is likely true. For DIY, replacing the panel is easier. For service professionals, contractors, and advanced users, replacing the controller may be the better choice.
omg… the guy I used to install the system I had which isn’t WiFi compatible was gonna charge me $200 to do this replacement. I’m sending this video to him to let him know I realize what a rip off he is.
I totally get where you’re coming from-$200 can feel like a lot for something that seems simple in a video…and is. Keep in mind, contractors bring experience, troubleshooting skills, and peace of mind to the table - or they should! Thanks for watching!
I sit here regretting buying from you and not paying 10 bucks more at Amazon. You had them beat, too. A rare win for the little guy. The debate in my mind was whether or not I'd run into a bunch of nonsense if I purchased from you. It seems I should've trusted my gut. Why would you send me an unsolicited email after I purchased something from you? A receipt, fine. Nonsense about how excited you are that I found you and now were best friends??? I hope you enjoyed it for the 7 minutes it lasted. Put that nonsense in the receipt email and leave us alone. We all get too much email. I promise I would have known where to find you if I'd have needed you in the future. Would have...
Thank you for mentioning this, very much appreciated. I’ll check with the team and see what is in the current post-purchase flow. I can’t recall writing an email that would state “best friends” in the past. If you can please forward me the email I’d appreciate it. Andy at supply store brands dt com Thanks for your business and hope your new Hydrawise setup is successful. ~Andy
From the Home Screen click Settings and then Wireless Settings. If you don’t see your network make sure you are in range, and your wireless is 2.4g. Take a look at page #27 here: www.hunterindustries.com/sites/default/files/rc-081-qg-hcc-web.pdf
I ordered the WiFi faceplate and it won’t turn on. It turned on once and then never turned on again. The new faceplate had many more pins for the plug than the original faceplate does.
Is the date code of your controller after March 2014? If not, the controller is not compatible. Another way to check is to check the color of the old faceplate buttons; they should all be blue. If your controller is compatible, I recommend testing the voltage from the transformer - you should have between 24-27vAC.
@@mas3ymd correct. Your controller predates the compatible version. Replace it with a Hydrawise or any controller of your choice! Unfortunately, no need for the faceplate you purchased.
I have 2 separate boxes next to each other, if I buy 2 faceplates will it allow 2 different controllers on the app?

Is the PCC-6001 compatible? All buttons are blue.
Should be. Could you check the date code as well? After March 2014, it is upgradeable. @sprinklerdude9768

Keep them connected the same way.
Hi- thank you, do the amount of zones you have matter when buying the new WiFi panel?
The panel is the same regardless of the number of zones. Good luck out there and have fun.

👍
Does this make the controler WI-FI ?
Nailed it! Yes, there is Wi-Fi integrated into the face panel. Thank you for pointing it out; guess I forgot to mention that. Happy sprinkling!
Great video Andy!
Date code after March of 2014 is all blue buttons and upgradable.

Thanks Dude!
I may do this

@@Andy_Humphrey it’s happening, just waiting for it to come in

Nope. The buttons are all green.
