I was there last month, and went to Mount Kawakapo (meili) with my family. Shangri-la is a magical place. Not many foreigners come to this remote area of China. Keep up the great work! I enjoyed your video very much
Yes I did feel the magic of Shangri-La. Lijiang had a certain magic about it too. (That’s the next episode). Thankyou for your support and taking the time to comment ☺️
China mainly has four major cuisines - Shandong cuisine, Huaiyang cuisine, Sichuan cuisine, and Cantonese cuisine. From the four major cuisines, eight major cuisines including Jiangsu cuisine, southern Fujian cuisine, Zhejiang cuisine, and Hunan cuisine are extended. In fact, cuisines from various parts of China have always influenced and learned from each other. For example, the most famous Dongpo pork in Zhejiang was actually invented by Sichuan people. Xinjiang's large plate chicken is also made by Sichuan people using Xinjiang spices. Most home-cooked dishes are influenced by Shandong cuisine. For example, the scrambled eggs with tomatoes that Chinese people eat are Shandong cuisine. People in low-altitude areas are usually not used to eating plateau minority foods because these foods are high in calories, such as Tibetan butter tea. Tibetans like to drink Zhuancha from Sichuan and Yunnan, but people from Sichuan and Yunnan don’t like to drink it. Yunnan has always had the custom of eating insects, which is delicious but requires courage.
That’s a great question Matt. I discovered a really great local market in Kunming and ate very well there. Probably my favourite was a grilled eggplant and capsicum dish with century egg. I managed to film it being made too. (It’s in 2 episodes time)!
Origianlly planned to Tibet this year & realized it's like Pike's Peak all the time... have to reconsider & after I have to be able to run 4 min mile. :)
The subtitles on your video cannot be translated into the Chinese language. The reason may be that the wrong method or software was used when editing the video. In the previous video, it was no problem to choose Chinese simplified characters, but this time the subtitles are no longer visible in traditional Chinese characters. It is a pity that we cannot know the content of the words in this episode. 😅
How do you produce such quality food at such a low price? I’m still dreaming of that Thali, but at least I can still watch the video of myself eating it 😜

Thankyou for that concise information on Chinese food culture. I enjoyed reading it ☺️
Tibetan food in Shangri-la must be an amazing culinary experience! Which dish stood out the most for you in Yunnan?

Awesome - great film : )
Thankyou so much ☺️
I like here, feel so relax ❤
Yeah, really chill place, fresh air. Where I filmed my intro was really peaceful, I could only hear a cow and the wind, sunshine but not hot!
Awww cool❤❤ cant wait to see ur video about Kaum Restaurant Jakarta❤❤
Niiice ☺️ Kaum Jakarta was so good!! That episode will drop in maybe 9 weeks, but there will be other Jakarta content before that too. 🙏🏼

It's so refreshing to hear to-mah-to, rather than to-may-to😅
Haha, yeah Aussie tomato’s are much more refreshing than American ones 😜
Great job on getting 891 subs 🎉🎉🎉
Woo! Thankyou ☺️ 1000 next!!
I wonder who the real @LameGod is 😜
🤩🤩🤩
I experienced the same sickness in Shangri La many years ago.
We are not built for the mountain! 😢
Wlc great China’s 🇨🇳 historical shangrila city 🏙 ❤️🩹💐
Thankyou ☺️
only in china, western fiction turns into reality 🤣
Haha I wonder if any other cities have been renamed after a fictional place!
As a chinese, I'm still not sure about changing the name. It feels like changing Dubrovnik to King's landing, really not necessary imo.
Yeah I get that. I actually got confused when I heard about it, thinking it was a fictional place, I assumed it was just my misconception.

Oh no! Thankyou for letting me know. I consistently edit in Premiere Pro and export with the same codec, so I wonder what the problem might be!!
👏👏👏
有没有打算去贵州。好像很多景点没人去,但基础建设都弄好了。
这次旅行我没去贵州,很遗憾。那里太美了。也许下次旅行我可以去看看。
