Astennu's solo in Insight is one of my all time faves. It's really a shame that Galder, who is a solid musician, doesn't play it. It's seriously amazing.
Galder fuckin' SUCKS. Love his work in Old Man's Child but he sucks in Dimmu. The solos off ETD and SBD are important highlights of the songs. How do you choose to not play those? Astennu, Barker, Vortex and Mustis were the best musicians Dimmu had.
I see two guitar players up on stage but I only hear one guitar coming out. I can only hear one guitar player so maybe there is a guitar solo and we can't hear it did anybody think of that?
They are AMAZING live. Saw them in Detroit on PEM tour. Still one of the best shows I've seen. Top 5, along with original lineup Sabbath, Tyr/Korpiklaani, and CoF. It is difficult to overstate how enormous and epic Vortex is. Along with the absolutely brilliant Mustis, and the legendary Nick Barker on drums? Absolutely sick lineup.
