I do not understand how the glass bulb is attached to the metal base? I see some kind of "mud" between the two different materials. I did not see how the argon gas filled inside either.

I always find it fascinating that there is so much knowledge about the things omnipresent in everyones' lives that are invisible to most of us. IT WAS MUCH PROFITABLE TO PAY THE FINE THEN TO LOWER THE PRICE OF A BULB.

Mechanical Engineers. A lot of these machines are so unique that the companies hire engineers to design, manufacture, and maintain the equipment.
These type of machine are designed and usually build by engineers it can be a firm or a team that's hired by the comapny

How is a 100 watt light bulb made differently than a 50 watt light bulb which is it twice as bright and uses up more electricity
Different filament,made them for 12 yrs,I figure I made about 55 million bulbs,thats figuring in fubar days

I had many incandescents burn out even the high quality ones like PHILIPS and GE and SYLVANIA.
