Loaded outta that barn many many many times! Still looks the same haha
I dont know about their or your trailer but back when I hauled cows our trailer had small plastic plates that locked into the holes in the trailer to stop the wind from getting to the calfs or cows so thay dont get sick. They just pop in the holes and when their not needed just pop them out and store for the next time you need them.
I really enjoyed the video. I loved listening to the turbo on that long wide nose 379. Did that for 35 + years. I haven’t fully retired. Still doin some drivin. You never get it out of your blood. Nice rig. Thanks. Have a good one. 👍👍👍❤️By the way I’m subscribing.
You can see little Wilber in there😂
Great trucking video and some good advice too! Thank you and stay safe!
i repaired wrecked trailers for years. by far the worst wrecks were loaded cattle trailers. you might work on one for 6 weeks.the gates and the trap doors took as long to fix as the bodywork.we had them steamed cleaned before they came into the shop.
I can’t even imagine. How does it even cost to get one fixed back up that’s in that kind of shape?
Loaded Hogs on a Hog Farm I worked for in high school, and never had them load that easy. lol
My Dad used to haul livestock from , Texas and other western states back to Tennessee . New York and Chicago back in the day.
You never move cows from west to east or north tho south unless it's to a kill plant.
@@revolutionismyname8226 that was what he was doing . Taking them to meat packing plants.
Need to get all of the stickers off the windshield, that will be a ticket 🎫 at some point, nice job ,thanks BigAl California.
First off the stickers are not obstructing his view and second how would that affect what is legal?
Don’t think any of the stickers are actually on the windshield. They look like they’re on the inside of the sunvisor so no way that they are obstructing any view...
I live in Oregon in a small town. When I get home I drop off my trailer in a yard where they process grain. I got permission from them. I bobtail home about a half mile. The cops like to harass me about not having a rear plate on my truck and threatened to have my truck impounded for no rear plate.
I've told them on the many times they pulled me over for this that the motor carrier doesn't issues rear plates for class 8 vehicles.
I get the stink eye from them and they tell me to go to DMV and get it straightened out or there going to impound my truck. I told them I don't deal with DMV over this issue. Well that pisst off the cop and he called this towing company and I know who he called and I called them my self and told them what was happening. The towing Co. said if they tell us to tow a vehicle we do it. I told them it's going to look funny when you pull up to tow me and you don't have a rear plate on your truck and I'll point it out to the cop. I never got towed. 😀
A lot of officers in small towns especially like to make life hard on truckers. I support cops and I support truckers some of these drivers don't get any respect
That sounds like some rookie shit to me. The only state I’ve ever seen rear plates on is New Jersey.
@@thehunterstruck how about now
Some good bacon and sausage and pork chops walking onto that trailer
You still pulling a wagon around and is the job worth getting into
Gotta love that drop visor driving into the sun
It has for real saved my eyeballs
Thanks for watching my friend!
I got the same visor. I love it. Everyone says how do you see? I say real easy. Great video. Keep on trucking
Where's "home base"? My sister lives in Mountain Lk, Mn. My niece 'n her husband farm 'n run a large hog operation near Jackson, Mn. I was born 'n raised on a family farm near Madison, SD. Then worked on large farm 'n cattle operation near Wentworth, SD.I pulled with '72 KW 900, 425 Cat - cattle pot, lowboy with machinery, flatbed with seed corn, dry fert, 'n chemical, tanker with liquid ammonia fert. I ride Harley to Sioux Falls many times from Twin Cities, down 60 to Windom. Coffee 'n gas stop @ the Holiday across from where you loaded, then jump om 90.
Nice rig Milk Man. 👌
Keep the shiney side up 'n tween the stripes.
Gumby
I love the sunroof never expected that. My dad had one on his w9
Thanks man! It’s definitely cool to have! Your dad like his when he had it?
@@TheMilkMans yes he enjoyed it just stopped driving for that guy
Great video do u like hauling pigs or cattle better
Seen you load in Illinois the other day and you still don't have a plate on?
What did you do before hauling livestock? My son use to haul livestock, got tired of lack of sleep, and to many bounce miles.
I used to haul flatbed and reefer. Yes, the lack of sleep is absolutely one of the biggest struggles of doing this. One thing about me, is that I will stop and take nap before I let myself get to tired and end up killing myself and possibly someone else. :) I respect all drivers and what they decide to pull
The dead head miles can be insane! You really have to pay attention to your numbers to make sure that you arent screwing yourself.
Thank you for watching Neil!
would be nice if you could see out of the rest of your windshield..
Old timers call marker lights , clearance lights. CL.
I like to here that turbo whistle
Long time ago middle 70s when riding with my. Dad a trucker and mist of them were skinny back then not like these short wearing croc wearing wheel holders he told me not to eat big meals in the rd. Puts you to sleep. He had a sammich and a small salad. Full belly makes ya sleepy
Do you ever see G&S farms trucks at all because I haul to windom MN to
i like the sound of the truck is it a streight pipe and i like the sun roof and does the truck have train horns on it or no
In 1978 I pulled into a coop in the middle of nowhere Wyoming with a 1976 Wyoming base plate when it should have been a current Minnesota plate. The 4 weight station attendants gang-raped my wallet over and over again.
I used to love when haulin cows, id run across another" bull hauler"
What's the pros and cons in getting into livestock hauling? I always wanted to try it but want to learn every aspect of it as much as possible because I know it's really hard. Right now I'm doing reefer and the occasional flatbed with my 95 Freightliner.
Pros it pays well if you do you job right everyone will know about you you also are exempt from eld rule cons you have a short time window to get to where you’re going so you’re not doing the speed limit plus if you mess up you’re finished
What you have under the hood Milk Man????
Great video , may I ask what is the large screen to the right is that your iPad running a GPS map ?
hell ya did you see mrssage wher i goin be driven ? i cant wait to get 2 that sale barn monday
How much it cost to have that sun roof cut into the cab?
Hey Milk Man just came across your videos Nice work Bro ... Cheers from Australia
Love your videos bro keep them coming 👍🏾
Thanks brother!
The Milk Man? Did you haul milk before livestock? I haul raw milk. Thinking heavily about hauling livestock. Great video. I subscribed. Have a good one.
Years ago the dispatch would give you a bottle of pills with your bill of lading when hauling pigs. Anphetimine's
N also put led gauge lights in
Do the pigs have to stand side by side for 15 hours for your drive. Wow 😣 sorry California girl here🇺🇸🇺🇸🌴🌴
Do you haul cows too
Going to be putting up a new vid soon! Hauled a load of cattle from Virginia to Nebraska
Keep them coming I enjoy your vids
Definitely going to keep doing my best man! Thank you!
👍👍be safe? Get your rest
What about the 11hr max drive time?????
We make it work :)
Really appreciate you watching brother!
@@TheMilkMans I gotcha Milkman, Love what all the truckers do for America, God Bless and stay safe!!!!!
Be careful if your tired.. Good to hear your going to rest. 👏👏🐷🐷🐽🐽🐖🐖🐄🐄
Download truckers path and it tells you if the scales are open or Closed wherever you’re going
That’s a big 10-4. We are definitely running that trucker path cmon. I was going around the scale. Google told me to go that way 😉
Thanks for watching man!
Was that actually a Heinold market you loaded at? Thought they got bought out 20 years ago.
That Pete would look good with a fresh white paint job.
I dig the vids milk man! I’m lookin to get into livestock ASAP, but nobody wants to hire a 22yr old 😂 great work tho bud!
Thanks Dylan! I was in your same situation. It was a massive struggle and honestly I’ve found it’s more that insurance won’t insure you than the companies not wanting to hire. You have any CDL experience?
The Milk Man yeah I have a year and half of “legal” exp mostly been pullin smooth bore tanks. I hauled livestock for bout a month but let it go cause it wasn’t payin me right. Now I miss the bullshit paychecks 😂
@@TheMilkMans I'm new subscriber, hell I actually got the experience 20yrs but none in livestock and it's a task to try to get anyone to hire lol
Do you only haul hogs?
hey wats happen??
How long is the longest cattle trailer ? Thanks .
53ft I believe
That visor would kill me! You gotta stop 1/4 mile back for a stoplight just to see it ?
Hahaha yeah it gets pretty annoying. Plan on changing it out when I get some extra money. Its not to bad with my seat sitting really low. I can see quite a bit
Really appreciate you watching!
@@TheMilkMans I used to watch the reflection of the light on the hood of my 359 to know when it turned green. Keep on trucking !
DOT. pulls over "Pig Hauler" on first run of the year.
Its not the same thing.
Enjoyed this alot new sub! Thank you for your time Shout out from Wva.
More action.
Does the vent windows open?
My one vent does. The other one is broken.
Great video, Amigo!
Thank you bro!
Hey Milkman I have a question that's been bugging me ever since I've been watching cattle Turkey up and down the road Now when you started this morning you said you had about a 15 plus hour ride maybe do you drive that whole shift the whole way without stopping or do you like me take a 10-hour break or something like that just wondering I'm just a question I've had I know it sounds kind of stupid but I'm going to ask it anyway so I appreciate it and I just subscribed so at least you got one more what's that make too now to subscribers anyway thank you and hope to hear from you bye
Livestock haulers have special exemptions.
Thanks for watching brother! We get the animals there without stopping for the most part ;)
You need more lights man
46pigs on top and bottom
Oh ok now in the dark I see the stickers are on the back side of the Sunvisor, kool, nice if you keep doing vlogs you will need to get more smooth with the camera, you did pretty good, look forward to Moore video’s, thanks BigAl California.
Nice old Pete. Im guessing early 90s 379? I started driving in a 91 model 379 . Love them big hood petes. Great video! 👍
Thats a big 10-4! You are correct. It is a 95 379 :)
Thank you for watching!
@@TheMilkMans what’s the purpose of the 357 Peterbilt we bought one from a cement company
New subscriber what year is your peterbilt?

You’re definitely right! Got a couple that I’m going to try and get edited today. At least one of them lol I need to get someone that will edit my videos haha
New sub here, former trucker, a work injury took me out of the drivers seat, I miss it sometimes, Happy trails man like your vids.
They retired me with a bad heart. Even after I got it fixed.

I pulled for zoomers took hogs out 2 Los Angel's then get wat ever comen back and turn around and go agin
It’s quite a life isn’t it. Could be sitting or could be getting no sleep for days. Mixed emotions about it all lol
@@TheMilkMans yhea it's a hell of a life just dont know when or where u goin u do have a pretty truck you said on 1 of your video's u loaded in Virginia may I ask wher??
Preciate it man! I loaded out of Lynchburg Livestock I believe it was. Sale barn

@@TheMilkMans wats up bud I'm billy
Swaggerty bound.....
wher you at driver
That was in Iowa right off of 380
Lol maaaan All u had to do was take that oil field tag off ya window and put it on ya grill! It’s not like they can actually read the tag from a distance while u moving so atleast it would look like a tag and that area wouldn’t look so bare! Then if they do stop u they can’t say that u were using it for a fake tag bcuz u had it on the grill not the tag area lol!
u goin have to get u another driver and keep on moving driver
Thanks for checking out the vid :)
Those hogs squealing remind me of a horror movie, haha, creepy shit man! I somewhat feel for the pigs, it was hard to watch, no, I'm not a Hippie tree hugger, although I do like my pork chops!!
They scream when I walk into my barn. It's not because they are scared or hurt.
ia farm still freaks me out damn dunno if I can eat pork again no I’m not and never will be a vegan tree hugging freak I like steak haha
Where these pinkies heading for
Kodak Tennessee to Swaggertys farm
Defund fmcsa Resistance is American
Hello sir sorry to bother you guys I’m not trying to sound weird but are used to go up and visit my aunt on the farm every year when I was younger and it was some of my best memories and finest moment was working with the cat all the chickens ducks and pig and it just brings back a lot of good memories but I’m disabled now I’m only 42 I’ve had a total of 27 surgeries I believe within a 10 year span I had two brain surgeries at the start in 2008 and that took care of my epilepsy. So I said that to say this I’m just working so much and I miss working on the farms and things and I’m so proud of you guys and I And I love y’all and you guys bring good memories back but could you please do a video of doing the whole trailer I know they’ll take a while but it be cool I know I would enjoy it and then also I was wondering is there something I could send you guys did you guys could take on a run or two and then send it back to me? Sorry for the bother guys I don’t mean to talk so much God bless
hey I'm new to your channel but may god continue to bless you on the road I love your video great job love everything be safe out there be bless...
Wanna be a cattle hauler but I’m a black guy hopefully it works out
Since when did a 14 hr drive in a 24 hr period become legal lol
ever since you don't keep animals in a trailer for 24 hours lol
Since livestock guys don’t have to run a log book PERIOD. We can thank the FMSCA covid exemption for that. We could literally legally drive 23 hours straight and not get in trouble.
Swagertys
great job on the videos!! we need get the bull haulers diet rolling, need everyones input,,im screwed if I drink water,,piss all the time, I eat lots of fruit and decaf coffee
I really appreciate it Zane!
Yes, I have totally changed my diet. I strictly eat salads, drink water, and eat fruit. I have not eaten any fast food for a month now. I feel so much more energy, and far less annoyed.
Thanks for watching my friend!
The Milk Man o
@@TheMilkMans sorry so late friend, been getting my Pete ready for hauling cows on Tuesday,, take care of yourself!! im pulling for miller time, long hood blue Pete with home made herd bumper, take care keep sending vids friend!!
I'm new subscriber in your channel
Thanks for subbing! Really appreciate it!
Indians will let u get away with 72-73mph and maybe even 75mph! I personally myself don’t that they really enforce that truck speed!
greta vid!!!
Great video 👍 ya your right about fast food man it kills you. It’s convenient but fat and sleepy lol anyways see ya on the next be safe and blessings
Thanks again John! To answer your question earlier about getting started as an owner op.
I am still the definition of a rookie to this industry, but from what I’m gathering so far, no one really leases you on. You have to have your own authority and then you rent their trailer. Which is what I’m doing. And along with renting their trailer you also get dispatched by them. There are some bigger companies out here that maybe you could look into. Like livestock express or Cow Tran. I don’t know anything about them, so I can’t say what it’s like working for them. Hopefully that helps?
The Milk Man that makes since ok thanks for the info that gives me a direction. I can pursue thanks again see ya on the next
Oh I can smell it from here lol. One small suggestion, don't pace around so much when you're talking, starts to get a bit of motion sickness going
👍😉
Gotta add more lights n put some red lights down bye ur feet on the floor
I see your "good" with the animals! Glad your not "thatguy" who whips the animals onto the truck!. And if you are please don't show it. Thanks for the entertainment.
Absolutely! I respect them. No need to be abusive to animals.
Thanks for watching my friend! Really appreciate it!
Here in Wisconsin you can’t have them cattle shockers around the sale barns
Hauled hogs for 3 years.......fuck those lil stubborn bastards
With all the nonstop running I’m guessing the money should be good I would 🤔
It was not as good as a person would think lol. At least that was my experience
I missed the part where you were pulled by a dot officer.
That’s BS!!
That sucked
hey bull hailer why are your on loading ,been in this for 5i yrs never had to load my stock always stayed in trailer and close gates make sure is was loaded right this not right but i have to say its we do not haul pigs never ever
you must not care to have plates
Why didn't you record the interaction with officer?? Always record the police. It just might help you in case he lies about something.
