I modified my novah clipper with the wahl cutting blade and the Gamma Fusion blade. They cut like butter! My number one fade clipper now
Did you modify the novah trimmers yet? I’m curious cause they don’t really hit sharp enough for me.
@@sneakgaylover3320 no. I didn’t purchase the combo. Just the novah clipper. The trimmer looked like so many of the Chinese trimmers that you cannot modify.

They do 2 speeds because of the density of hair the kids and older people usually have soft hair The higher speed is for the more difficult and coarse hair

I think the different speed are for certain clients like for example children low speed adults high speed.
I come from the era of havinf 2 clippers and one trimmer but some barbers these days think good clippers make good haircuts and that's a lie!! A good barber can make a great cut with any tool
As a person who's bought quality clippers/trimmers vs value ones I can say this is not always true. I'd dare to see you cut great with my Shinons who's still blade doesn't...stay still. They might have great cuts alright. Great big cuts

Now y’all know the brand Name is the quality and that’s what we are paying for …. We can go get Walmart 20 dollar clippers and do a good cut … but after a year you know there’s 3 names that stand above all others regardless let’s be real
You are correct! We buy brand prices for good quality and long lasting clippers.. these cheap clippers are great for a starter kit or self cuts at home.. what are you top 3? Mine would be Wahl, Babyliss, and Andis.. but there is so many new clippers on the rise and are great quality as well.. like Jrl, and Gammas
Though your not wrong about the Elite brands like Andis and Wahl. But clippers like Nova wouldn’t be a bad idea. Especially if your on a budget but want that high quality until you can afford the more over priced clippers. Main thing as a barber you gotta understand is any barber can have the expensive stuff but it’s not the tool that make the cuts it’s the barber holding the tool that make the cuts.
$20 a year for clips don’t sound too bad 😂

Great video bro! I’ve been using those Novah’s for about a year now and love them. I think the clipper will take a Wahl replacement blade but still not sure on the trimmer.

@@candorvisuals2303 for the clipper only, it takes a Wahl blade. I even put a ceramic cutting blade on one set. Still no idea about the trimmer though.

Hey! On the fake babyliss trimmer, you can not mod them at all.. but you can zero gap them, not as sharp as the real one but still leaves a clean line after you use a straight razor..
@@vetito_ did you zero gap the smaller novah trimmers because the way they are cutting looks like they have been zero-gapped. Also how you getting on with these 3 months later? Would you still recommend the Novah set? Thanks

It’s more so the blades that are trash on these cheap clippers. Find the ones that you can put name brand blades on and you’re good

I was going to get the magic clips for 110 since I already have trimmers I got from a set but I want to know if these are a better worth. A extra trimmer for whatever or it could be my main and clippers for fading because I can’t with my others

Price of the clippers/trimmers is BS. You don't need to buy them cause y'all follow TH-cam barbers. I got almost every new expensive combos and no matter if I use the cheap to expensive cuts always right!
