We're working on improving the packaging. As you may have noticed, we are using a new recycled cardboard as opposed to plastic which is a new part of our Cradle 2 Cradle sustainability effort. We're not working to improve the cardboard inserts to make them more secure.
I LOVEA that! Recycled material gets a huge thumbs up from me. We’re big on the 3 R’s in my house and I have a large recycling bin in my shop and my kitchen. Thanks. Or clairifying. Thanks again for the paint as well!
I want to say I got one of the cardboard trays in the Warlord co-branded set I picked up...if "This is how it was when I got it" feedback is helpful, mine seemed to come loose from the box being stood on its side and then jostled.
So you're working on making the already hot garbage packaging worse, and intend to not ever make it better. Lmao, yet another reason for me to just say no. You make some products great, others average, and the rest questionably bad (Your wet pallet and brushes are great, as are your magnets and mixing balls, but why are your cutters so dull and your pin vises so chintsy?). Also, if people were too lazy to reuse or recycle the plastic inserts, they won't do any better with the cardboard ones either. Thanks, but no thanks.
I can certainly appreciate you sourcing your materials from recycled sources, as to lower the amount of waste. I know you can't control what people buying your product do with the packaging afterwards, but you are helping to contributing to reduce waste. That is huge.
As a new air brush painter for miniatures I struggled with mixing and thinning my paints.. Your video convinced me to put in a pre order from my retailer for the complete paint line. Kiddos to you and TAP thanks for the video!
"That's a lot of pigment". Welcome to Army Painter, my friend. I remain undecided on whether I can justify rebuying colors I already have...it''ll likely come down to "can I be bothered to develop my own bottle of 'magic glazing juice'"...but getting to see them in action took the new colors from 'Probably' to 'Yes'. I would love to see a 'through a bristle brush' evaluation, as from the looks of it they'd make a viable "instant glaze, just shake dropper".
Greetings from Linden Michigan. Nice to meet you and view your videos for the first time. Loved your stuff as while I am on vacation going to try my first serious attempt and airbrushing minis. Might need a lesson or 3 and will take a look at your Patreon stuff..
I know this video is old, so you might not see this, but my wife bought me a whole set of these (for which I'm super happy about) but I'm curious if they would work for drybrushing as well? I know they are very thinned, but I don't really want to buy a whole new set of paints just to dry brush my models. Thank you if you read this and thank you for the awesome review!
Absolutely. They’re thin but they’re still paint and the idea of dry brushing is the residual paint needs to remain on the brush to get the effect. All paints will still leave that residual on the brush no matter how thin they are
A great starter burst is the patriot 105 by badger. You could spray gravel out of that thing. It’s a work horse. I have a 15% discount for them through usa airbrush supply. Code is: IMPENDINGDUFF As far as a compressor, the point zero compressor with a tank is a solid choice at under $100 on amazon
Hobbyists looking for honest information about a paint line: Tell me you got paid for your review without telling me you got paid for your review. TH-camr: Spends five minute gushing over an advertisement featuring every conceivable Army Painter product with a few lines of text about each thing like it was a textbook of a thousand pages detailing the intricacies and history of the hobby and its wider socioeconomic impact followed by 35 minutes of apologizing for every issue with the product.
im sorry, are you implying that I A. was paid for this and given a script to read and B. was not giving an honest review? Im not sure I follow you and if thats the case, how on earth you came up with that take away when I clearly detailed what I didnt like and specifically about the metallics.
Yo Duffy, the video wasn't terribad ( a bit slow to slough through), but the lighting and colorization are WAY off, bro. The whole thing is very dark, and saturation is crazy for some colors (such as the red you said is like a Dixie cup red, but on here it looks like a fluor red instead). Regardless, keep it up, as we do generally enjoy the content nonetheless.

That's really, really awesome of you guys. Another point for TAP in my book.

I think you will be very happy. Enjoy, and let me know in the discord what you think about them
Aaaaah my name is in the video! 11/10! Also: Ultramarines are good because they use a lot of colors compared to a lot of chapters.

Look forward to possibly doing some lessons. Thanks so much for watching. I’m down in the Detroit area my self!
Great review! Im just starting out with airbrushing. How do you think AP air line compares to vallejo air? thanks so much!
I’ve actually never used VA so I can’t give a fair comparison
Great video. Great teacher. Seems like a great product....I might be adding some new TAP products to my desk. Thanks!
Great review as always :)
Very informative video. I will keep the fluorescents in mind, I don't have any of those yet.

I am going to give airbrushing a try. Any suggestion for an airbrush and compressor?

the med tones are the same as the army painter paints. so green skin in both sets are the same.
Depends on the manufacturer whether they opaque or transparent or semi ,you can buy opaque inks.
your ears will look fabulous at age 40
