There once was a South Korean guy in the NBA. His name is Ha Seung-Jin. He played for the Portland Trail Blazers from 2004-2006. He retired from basketball in 2019 after playing for the South Korean team Jeonju KCC Egis. There was also almost a North Korean player in the NBA named Ri Myung-hun. In 1998, he tried to get drafted by the NBA, but was not allowed to by the US State Department because it would violate the act called the Trading with the Enemy Act, because his contract would have been repatriated to North Korea in wheat. He said this to a news reporter "The NBA agreed for me to play, so did the U.S. Commerce Department…But the State Department waited six months, and then said no. They wanted to use me for political purposes. So I just gave up. Pretty sad. Keep up the great content.
There is another South Korean player who is picking up interest over here in America who may become an NBA player named Lee Hyun-Jung. He plays small forward for Davidson and is a phenomenal shooter and has good height for his position at 6'7 (200 centimeters).
"My score for you is 6" lol, I totally move for the NBA to have those girls at every NBA game, and they decide how much each basket is worth based on how impressive they think it is
You realise Basketball isn’t very big in most countries. Even in the UK a lot of people don’t know who Lebron James is. And if they do they probably haven’t watched him
1:26 he threw ball at Harden so that it bounces off of him to out-of-bounds and then it would be their team's ball. However what makes this play incredible is that after he blocked it, Harden jumped up to avoid it.
1:27 he threw it at at his legs because in basketball, when the ball touches someone and goes out of bounds, the ball goes over to the opponent's team and the beard guy (harden) predicted that and dodged it beautifully...it's not because he was pissed or anything lol.
The blackboard/glass doesn’t really break anymore now, cause they reinforce it each time to make it stronger compared to before; so the breaks are mostly from back then
They talk about how great the players are but unless you play basketball and are a hard core fan you really can’t comprehend what’s going on. As a basketball fan though I’m glad they enjoyed watching the clips. I want to see how they react to players like Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, kyrie Irving. Half the vid was just dunking and while it is cool, they should see the aspects of the game that require more skill than jumping so that they can get a deeper understanding of the game :)
You guys should react to Victor Wembanyama highlights. He is 7'4", smart, fast, flexible, highly skilled, handsome and really nice. He is probably going to be the greatest basketball player of all time.
Wait, wait, wait, wait....that compilation was of the best plays in 2020 but it didn’t have Bam Adebayo’s block on Jayson Tatum?.....invalid video compilation. Such disrespect.
In my time watching the NBA, playoff bubble was the best ever playoffs because, it was hardcore to the core! All I got to say though for your next video is.... Vince Carter.
Basketball is kinda like america’s equivalent to soccer. The type of environments where soccer historically thrived in europe, namely urban areas(especially in say the UK), is where basketball thrives in the USA. In part because like soccer you can kinda make a makeshift hoop like you’d make a makeshift goal. The space requirement for basketball is also less than that of soccer as it can be played with just half a court, so reasons like this are probably why you saw it take root in American urban environments rather than soccer. The pacing is also somewhat similar to that of soccer albeit much higher scoring, but the constant back and forth with minimal stoppage of play is very similar, and is probably why it has on of the largest foreign fan base of all the major US sports. Football has a bit too much stop and start for a lot of non americans, which is understandable if you haven’t grown up with it, but it’s one of the major reasons non americans cite for a lack of interest. The NBA also historically did a lot more to market to foreign markets than the NFL did, though the NFL has changed that over the past 30 ish years, namely in europe.
I wish they had shown the breaks where couples have to kiss while they focus on the screen. And when the kiss doesn't happen with the person next door.
Can you guys watch videos of tornados, hurricane, derechos and thunderstorms and then compare it to weather in Korea? In the natural disaster movie video u guys had they were discussing how tornados don't happen in Korea.. it could be a cool video
@@yourstepdadsfavchannel7746 doesnt change the fact that reacting to the best plays would still be interesting. Just because a sport is popular in a nation doesnt just devalue their reaction.... bruh
Lol he said Lebron looks like a guy who would collaborate with Nike...he’s the poster boy 😂😂
Only for basketball though
Cristiano Pabla he signed a mimimum 1 billion dollar life time contract with Nike... thats most likely the largest single contract Nike ever gave

@@alec187 but none of them football players got a 100 million deal, unproven in their respective sport, and at 18 years old. Only basketball.

I mean in Asia soccer is the sport most people play😂😂😂
@UCVUEUCV3HCuH9LUGOMFCwfw I know it’s popular but most of the people there play soccer which is also a popular sport.
Actually in Korean a "goal" is still used to describe a point or bucket even in basketball haha. Sounds weird but it became part of the lingo.
Some county uses goal tho. Even in the early NBA they say goal instead of basket

@@KiraDaBeastNY Yeah, he could get drafted. He’s a high IQ 3 & D player and they like those players in the nba.
Ha seung jin didn't even average a freaking point in the nba
there was also this guy named jeremy lin who sat on the bench even though he was way more valuable than patrick beverley or old jason kidd

have them react to Michael jordan in the 90s and that era of basketball? that would make for a great video
LeBron’s top 23 plays? that would be nice too 👀👀
Nah have them react to Alex Caruso highlights 😤
Not really bad quality footage means less quality video unless it’s a bulls home game

1:27 He threw the ball isn't because he is pissed off, he tried to throw the ball to Harden leg to get him out of bound.
