4L60E is a good trans if you don’t abuse it by towing a shit load or not knowing how to wheel. Been around 88-98s for years. Most recently 94 blazer 6 inch suspension lift & 3 inch body. 35s. All kinds of terrain. No issues.

It's a Chevy not an obs. Obs was a term used for the old 7.3 to differ from the early 2000s 7.3
For the 4wd not engaging its probably the actuator on the front diff mine did the same thing

I have a 92 stepside with 35 r15s with Detroit Lockers in the front and back and to match up with Cooper sttp I have yet to get stuck and I have buried it several times love them 90s obs
smaller wheels, bigger tires, airing down. the 4wds would’ve had no problem then

None of the deepthroat wheel dorks have 4wd? Buy rims after you can afford to hook up your front diff
Come to Texas and buy my crew cab obs that’s been ls swap with a 6.0 up and running needs a speed sensor it just went out so won’t go to 3rd and 4th gear. 9 inch of lift 5.13 gears with locker in the back needs gears up front.

alex macy yes it still runs the sensor in the transmission are bad. Will not shift to 3rd and 4th. I plan of jacking with them this weekend if I get the time

I have a 94 k1500 Z71, it's very unique but I'm not done with the build yet. I just ordered my 6inch lift with 35x12.50R15 pretty excited.
Ordering my 6 in lift this coming week for my 94 single cab. It's already go 3 in body lift so it'll sit perty.

99 k2500 vortec 350 sittin stock with a set of 33’s and honestly I’m amazed how terrible the tire choice is.... I’m just on some Firestone at’s and I’ve been rubbing frame multiple times in worse holes
I love my 95 k1500. But when it comes to off road activities these trucks dont compare to my 78 k5 or my 86 k10. Love the 90s chevy trucks though . I would never get rid of my 95 these trucks will be bringing big money soon just like a squarebody 4x4s .
My little ford ranger would have not had any issues with any of it which it also does lock in lol

So at first I was gonna talk smack about almost non of them being 4x4, (even though mine is the same way hahahahah) and y’all trying to run them through the mud, but then them things were doing better then a lot of the 4x4’s out there so I tip my hat to you! Pretty trucks to!
