So glad Stephen checked to make sure Grace wouldn’t get hurt by touching the ripe jalapeños. I was worried when I saw Grace putting them in the basket. He’s a good Dad to risk his own eyeballs for his daughter’s safety. 😂 Also, I’m a little salsa to chip kinda girl.
As a Latina you say jalapeño great! And that yellow skirt/outfit is adorable. You look so cute! I’m so jealous of your year round farmers market, the season is almost over in MI 🥲
i’ve comment this before but watching stephan be sweet, kind and attentive to you made me leave my 3 year relationship to find someone who really loves me. thank you ❤❤❤
I don’t have a “sad baby him” daughter but I do have a spidey-Minnie girl. She’s also two and very insistent that she knows exactly what she wants to wear. Both 💅🏼
I think it really depends on the consistency of the salsa. The more watery the salsa, the more you need to fully appreciate the flavor. Then there's thick-but-smooth salsa, and then there's chunky salsa, and as someone else pointed out you don't want to break the chip so now we have to account for chpi density. I never realized what a science chip-dipping is! XD
I love all of your videos and I love seeing your family and the fun you all get up to. BUT Stephen, looking out for Grace and sacrificing his own eyes to check for safety... I am LIVING
For me, it depends on the consistency of the salsa. If it's a thin salsa, it don't put much on the chip. If it's a chunky salsa, I load that bad boy up! When it comes to queso, the chip might as well not even be there 🤣
Yes! I agree! I especially love a chunky salsa with all the vegetable chunks in there piled on top of the chip. My husband looks at me like I am crazy--he just does a little dip of the chip.
I'd love it if you made a parenting updates video about the changes you've experienced since Grace grew some more, I think it's been a while since the last time 🥰
Shoe tip: I know it can be expensive, but it's really important to have different sneakers for different activities. Your foot goes through different stress while working out than it does when you are just walking around. Even if you find a pair of shoes you like and buy two, that'll work. I found my go to style of ASICS and bought one for my pharmacy job and one for exercising. The wear they saw was completely different and you could really see it in the tread and insole. Having separate pairs for different activities made a huge difference for my feet comfort and back pain.
The bell pepper recipe looks great! I think it might be inspired by a popular Romanian dish called "stuffed up peppers". The only 2 differences are that we don't cut them in half, and instead of quinoa, we use rice. Bon appetit!
There's actually quite a few cultures that do stuffed peppers all over the world! In Austria (and I think Hungary might so it similarly) we stuff peppers with minced meat (sometimes rice)and cook them in tomato sauce
Welcome to the Hoka club! They're soooo good. I'm on my 2nd pair, first bondi pair. They're magical! So good for Disneyland, so good for walking and every day. I hope you love them too!
Stephen parent testing the safety of things is EXACTLY how my husband test things. LOL You looked stunning in that skirt, makes me wanna get some. Excited to see more cooking vlogs. PS I load up my chips.. i used to barely want any salsa but now give me ALL the salsa.
i feel like i haven’t seen this yet, but the chip girth says it all. if it’s a thin chip, thin dip. but girthy chips calls for a girthy scoop. also, green salsa is superior
OMG I looked up that recipe and tried it. It was Amazing!!! I ended up doing a hybrid of both their quinoa and the beef stuffed peppers. Pretty much following the quinoa recipe except adding ground beef to the skillet, and putting tomato sauce in the bottom of the baking dish. The beef recipe called for rice but used the quinoa instead. I don't cook with quinoa much but that was so great. But honestly thank you. Keep the recipes coming 🎉
If it's a full chip and you have more chips left about half salsa to chip. If you are running out of chips faster than you are running out of salsa you stack as much salsa as you can on whatever chips you have left.
I like to wait till the jalapeños turn red and start getting the stretch marks. Yum! I’m making the feel good foodie baked feta tomato pasta right now haha fun coincidence! I’ll have to try the recipe you are making.
My favourite thing to dip a corn chip in is not salsa, but a beetroot and feta dip. I load that chip up with as much dip will fit on! The best thing is my partner doesn't like beetroot so its all mine 😂
I do enough salsa that the flavor of the chip isn't overpowered. Usually covers less than half the chip, but it all depends on the potency of the salsa. Cute vlog!
I absolutely LOVE ❤❤❤ my Hokas!! I have a lot of foot pain that makes walking difficult. These have improved my quality of life so much! They are so very bouncy and cushiony and comfortable, well worth the money to me! Oh, and that purple San Francisco shirt!!! 🤩 I'm on the search for an adult size!!!
It's wild to realize that when I was Grace's age I was not allowed to pick out my own clothes. I'm so glad you give Grace the agency to do that, I just had to wear what my mom told me to until I was much older.
Be very careful picking hot peppers. Don't touch your face or you could burn your eyes. A friend of mine warned me when I was helping him in his garden. Your farmers market outfit is gorgeous 🥰
I too wondered about Grace and the hot pepper oil on her skin so thank you Stephen for checking. As to chip to salsa ratio very little salsa per chip I don’t want one too over power the other taste wise so a corner of salsa is usually good
My mom touched jalapeno peppers as a child and that burn is real. Steven putting his hands on his eyes about gave me a heart attack. So very brave. As for the chip vs. dip ratio, I prefer more dip. But I'm not a salt person. So I prefer to cover the chip so I taste less of it.
If you're looking for protein, a good option is to switch the sour cream for plain greek yogurt. This is my favorite hack. I am a sour cream LOVER and greek yogurt does the trick and adds a bunch of extra protein. :)
I love that Grace calls Captain America “Sad Baby Him”. My 2 year old daughter just got very into the I Am Groot shorts on Disney+ and she calls him “Baby Tree”. We watch Baby Tree over and over again 😆
I’m not a tomato chunks person… so for me it’s dip the chip in the salsa liquid and then wipe most of it off!! 😂😂😂 Most of the time I’ll just eat the chips plain lol!!
About the salsa debacle, I prefer my salsa on some delicious tacos, quesadillas, flautas or tostadas but the amount I would put on a chip really depends on the spice level and consistency of the salsa. Either way, I do tend to load up my chips with salsa.
I have closed captions on, which aren't always correct... But I figured to share just in case: "On the *cusp" is the idiom, not cuff. I remember it because I picture "cusp" as a cliff's edge and how it is different it is from level ground. Just hope to watch the world learn ❤ thank you and love your content!
Yay garden content! Randomly, me and my 3 yo also just picked our first jalapeno yesterday. She was eager to be the first person to taste them, but I insisted I try them first (didnt rub them on my eyes though 😂😂). They turned out to be VERY mild, the seed packet tells me theyll become hotter when they turn red??
so it really depends on how much salsa is on the chip based on the salsa... if it's like a Chilis liquidy salsa I'm just dipping but if its a chunky salsa with a hearty chip then a full on mound
Honestly, I’m a heavy dipper with my chips. I don’t care what kind of dip it is; salsa, guac, hummus (on a cracker), ranch, anything I like a lot on my chips
Stephen’s method of testing the safety of the peppers 😂😂
My mans would do the same 😂
Unhinged!! But we appreciate the sacrifice for Grace 😊
good Dad is good

I really enjoyed your cooking era so much last year I’m so happy you’re doing it again 🥰 your montages are always so fun to watch!
Im happy to see Stephan on this vlog and listen to his salsa vs chip ratio thoughts
i’ve comment this before but watching stephan be sweet, kind and attentive to you made me leave my 3 year relationship to find someone who really loves me. thank you ❤❤❤

The chip is just a delivery vehicle for the salsa, so I usually have a mound of salsa on each chip 😂
Same with queso
Same! 😁
Same!
Yep!!! The scoop chips are the best to get a lot of guac/salsa/queso
Yes! I agree! I especially love a chunky salsa with all the vegetable chunks in there piled on top of the chip. My husband looks at me like I am crazy--he just does a little dip of the chip.
I laughed so hard at stephens question about the chips and salsa 😂 we need more Steve questions.
I really liked how much Stephen was in this vlog!
the cutest information I didn't know I needed to know is your mom being a PE teacher omg so sweet 🥹
I'd love it if you made a parenting updates video about the changes you've experienced since Grace grew some more, I think it's been a while since the last time 🥰

Sprinted over here! So excited to watch. Your vlogs are so relaxing and fun to watch!

The end of the blog was perfection!
I need a little chip crunch with as much salsa as legally possible!
My little girl also loves Captain America. When she was 3 she dressed up as him for Halloween. Super adorable 😍
If you plant those succulent bushes those are a great home for the monarchs to crystalize
Stephen parent testing the safety of things is EXACTLY how my husband test things. LOL You looked stunning in that skirt, makes me wanna get some. Excited to see more cooking vlogs. PS I load up my chips.. i used to barely want any salsa but now give me ALL the salsa.

Sierra! Peace Out acne day dots are 50%off part of the Ulta 21 days of beauty sale today!! You may not see this but i thought id try!!
I've wanted to try the peace out healing dots and they are 50% off at Ulta today. Good to know they work well. I just placed my order 😊
If it's a full chip and you have more chips left about half salsa to chip. If you are running out of chips faster than you are running out of salsa you stack as much salsa as you can on whatever chips you have left.

I am cracking up over Sad Baby Him 😂😂 my daughter calls Spiderman (and any of the spider kids) just Man. Peter, miles, Gwen, they are all Man 😂
My favourite thing to dip a corn chip in is not salsa, but a beetroot and feta dip. I load that chip up with as much dip will fit on! The best thing is my partner doesn't like beetroot so its all mine 😂
best chips and salsa for me is like 60% chip and 40%salsa so i still get that crunch from the chips and the salsa isn't overpowering lmaoo
Your Blues Clues sound when you were pouring the paprika 😂😂😂
Oh wow! Never started a new video of yours so quickly after it being posted!
My salsa to chip ratio is however much salsa I can successfully pile on the chip. The more salsa the better 😂
The soap looks like it turned out great. Hope it was fun making it.
It's wild to realize that when I was Grace's age I was not allowed to pick out my own clothes. I'm so glad you give Grace the agency to do that, I just had to wear what my mom told me to until I was much older.
Love your outfi!
Be very careful picking hot peppers. Don't touch your face or you could burn your eyes. A friend of mine warned me when I was helping him in his garden. Your farmers market outfit is gorgeous 🥰
My husband once made fresh sambal, an oriental peppersauce....I can tell you not to go to the toilet after cutting, too! 😂😂😂
@@Colombine2009 Oh dear.
As a spanish speaker I approve the jalapeño pronunciation
You actually say jalapeño correct! It’s how they pronounce it in Spanish
Right! Not sure why anyone would be roasting her for it
I too wondered about Grace and the hot pepper oil on her skin so thank you Stephen for checking. As to chip to salsa ratio very little salsa per chip I don’t want one too over power the other taste wise so a corner of salsa is usually good
Stephen doing the sacrificing 🤣😂
sierra i started listening to noah kahan and i am obsessed. Felt important to tell you. Lol
We need a count of how many times she tries to say jalapeno 😂
You’re pronouncing jalapeños correctly, don’t doubt yourself 😊
I love those Chili Crips in my salad. Also you have to try the hummus at that farmers market...its the best and usually has a line.
If you're looking for protein, a good option is to switch the sour cream for plain greek yogurt. This is my favorite hack. I am a sour cream LOVER and greek yogurt does the trick and adds a bunch of extra protein. :)
Try adding a bunch of cilantro to the quinoa too! :D it goes very nicely when I make quinoa like that
You're Jalapeno pronunciation is great! Says a fellow San Diegan from East County😁
I am currently obsessed with pickled jalapeños
I just ordered some of those chili crisps! fingers crossed that I love them!
Very little salsa on the chip - I’m aligned with Steven 😂. No mounding here!
Not me having just finished chips and salsa for my "girl dinner" lol😂
id say like half salsa half chip ratio haha also love seeing more of Stephen!!
Stephen and my husband would be best friends, the chip to salsa Ratio is totally something my hubby would be asking about too!! Hahahaha
The salsa debacle😂, for me it depends on the consistency so if its chunky, I add loads of salsa, if its more liquid just a little bit. 😂
For the record, it’s two chug a chugas.
It depends what chip cut; bites, scoops, restaurant cut?!
Had to let you know that my partner and I refer to captain America as sad baby him as well after hearing you talk about it in the vlogs 😂❤
I like to taste the chip with my salsa I agree with Steven 🤣
I love that Grace calls Captain America “Sad Baby Him”. My 2 year old daughter just got very into the I Am Groot shorts on Disney+ and she calls him “Baby Tree”. We watch Baby Tree over and over again 😆
I’m not a tomato chunks person… so for me it’s dip the chip in the salsa liquid and then wipe most of it off!! 😂😂😂 Most of the time I’ll just eat the chips plain lol!!
Haha, me too! I like the liquid but can’t do the chunks 😂
Sad baby him is also my favorite super hero!!!
Your hair looks great at that length
My 3 year old daughter is also obsessed with Captain America and has been for at least 2 years 😂
Sierra ❤ i recommend cooking down your onions more before adding all the other goodies.
When it comes to salsa I’m a dunk it in for the flavor & my husband is a scoop on top kinda guy
I love your channel. For me its chunky salsa and about 1\4 to half of the chip if they are triangle chips, LOL.
About the salsa debacle, I prefer my salsa on some delicious tacos, quesadillas, flautas or tostadas but the amount I would put on a chip really depends on the spice level and consistency of the salsa. Either way, I do tend to load up my chips with salsa.
cryin bc sad baby him probably stuck in grace's memory bc she felt so bad for sad baby....🥺 empathetic queen
The correct amount of salsa per chip is as much as the chip can hold without breaking! 🌶
I have closed captions on, which aren't always correct... But I figured to share just in case:
"On the *cusp" is the idiom, not cuff. I remember it because I picture "cusp" as a cliff's edge and how it is different it is from level ground. Just hope to watch the world learn ❤ thank you and love your content!
As much salsa as possible without breaking the chip.
The chip is merely a spoon for the salsa
I like my black beams. During a hurricane I empty then in a bowl without even heating them up. They are so good for you when you are on a keto diet.
I misss your small business videos!
"sad baby him" would do numbers on Tumblr!
I like light salsa on my chip, and I prefer the liquid over a big bite of the vegetables.
the chip is my spoon. simply the means to get as much salsa in mouth as possible.
I have Hokas as my everyday tennis shoes and as my hospital shoes (nursing). I also get a wide, and they are so cushy!
Stephen is definitely a dipper not a scooper when it comes to salsa.. and that's the wrong answer 😅
It’s the same as licks on a tootsie pop. The world may never know. Lol ❤ u guys!
It depends on the salsa… if it’s super chunky medium amount of salsa. If it’s more liquidy def more salsa 😂
90% salsa, 10% chip
A lot of Salsa on a chip you have to taste it 😂
Definitely team Stephen, I don't need that much salsa hahah
so it really depends on how much salsa is on the chip based on the salsa... if it's like a Chilis liquidy salsa I'm just dipping but if its a chunky salsa with a hearty chip then a full on mound
I definitely use my chip as a spoon for my salsa
As someone who reads a lot of Captain America fanfiction, the Sad Baby Him thing is going to *haunt* me, thank you.
omg Grace is so cute
when eating chips & salsa, it needs more chip than salsa, but not too little of an amount of salsa..just enough to taste it😌
I say it like "jalapeeeeeñyo "😂
Stephen and I were having the same thought process. I was like please wash her hands when she goes inside 😬
Honestly, I’m a heavy dipper with my chips. I don’t care what kind of dip it is; salsa, guac, hummus (on a cracker), ranch, anything I like a lot on my chips
I demand an "ALL the cutting room floor clip" montage, please,
