I love how both versions of this song are the yin-yang of each other in terms of both Angel as a character and his themes. Situation-wise, Angel's Order shows him at his strongest, being able to defend himself from assholes who don't know the word 'no', but character-wise, he's his most vulnerable, resigned to his current fate and hopeless to get out. VIP is the polar opposite: performing at the studio at Val's beck and call, but now much more confident to seek a better life. An excellent job on both pieces and tying so perfectly into Angel.
If the original song is about Angel not even trying to save himself because he doesn't have any self worth, then this song is him realising that he deserves better than to be treated this way and that maybe he actually has a chance at redemption. I get the feeling that this version takes place after Dirty Healings when he meets Charlie. I like the small differences between the original song and this version. In the original, Angel was cynical and hopeless about ever escaping Valentino's control and admitted to having mostly just given into the pimps demands. Here though, while still having hints of the aforementioned cynicism, we also get hints of Angel's growing defiance, which may or may not have been inspired by his stay at the Hotel. He admits that, while he may still feel trapped under Val's thumb, his submission won't last forever. He's growing more and more sick of having his passion being exploited and used to satisfy the overlords greed and lust for sex and control, and he doesn't plan to take it much longer. This song is basically Angel telling Val: "You may have me on a leash for now, but that leash won't hold me forever. I'll be your obedient pet for now, but one day I WILL bite back. The moment the opportunity comes, I'll leave you in the dust and never look back. You can't control me forever, and I will take back my afterlife from you. You're nothing without me, and you're going to find that out the hard way. You'll see."
It could even be what Val wants. He's got to know the weak will learn at some point. In some ways it may even be because of Val pushing Angel so hard that Angel learns to have more courage. Something Val will have to take note of and respect, even if his pride won't have him admit it. If Angel didn't have the F you attitude then they might have been able to mantain control when facing Val. A cowards move is a cowards move though. So Val backhanded Angel for that. Though they did have to pause when Angel's logic was adding up. Subtle details like this really flesh out the characters.
Okay this seriously needs to be some sort of animatic or better yet an animation like they did for Addict. It could be the next big thing if they did animated music videos for “Use me Up” and even “Valentino”

True, but I actually love how most of the song just holds on Angel's angry face. I think it really highlights just how fed up he actually is with his situation. You can tell Angel wears sex and immaturity as a mask, but here that mask is starting to break. And they did that with one image instead of an entire animation.
In the first version, Angel Dust was very cynical, but also more violent and reckless. There was this sense that he had truly given up the fight against his demons and he just didn't care anymore. In this song, he's becoming more and more defiant. He's regaining his sense of pride, and beginning to want to rebel against Valentino. Before, he was like, "Whelp, I gave my soul to my demons and so I deserve a shitty life." Now he's more like, "Hey, wait a minute, I'm fuckin' awesome! Maybe I'll even get away from Val someday." It's not much but it's an improvement. Also, as always, Paranoid DJ did amazingly!

I absolutely ADORE this. There is definitely a bit of a different vibe to the first one, the first one feels a lot more self-supporting, like at that moment he's not taking anyone's shit, and he's his own demon who can and will kill you if you test him. This one is just as good for different reasons. This one feels a lot more challenging, and sassy, like he refuses to let himself sink into despair, and he will never stop fighting to get the fuck away from Val, but he will bide his time. He's never gonna let Val steal his light. Keep making amazing music Paranoid! These are always a bop, and an absolute joy to listen to!

I am both delighted and mildly afraid to inform that if yours is like mine, a full year is only going to be enough time for the hyperfixation to have gained a scary amount of speed. This series is a bit of a fandom powder keg because everyone here is suffering, along with whatever they already had, a form of madness characterized by the fact that my phone can't hold more Hazbin or Helluva material.

As soon as this hit the first chorus, I knew I was in for something special. The more subdued feel fits what Angel is saying there a lot better, and the thoughtful instrumentation gives more heft to the moment. But when it hits, my god it HITS. The extra percussion, reworked sounds, and incredible polish will have me listening to this for a while. Here's to a great rework, and many more bangers in the future (be that Hazbin, Deltarune, or whatever else - it'll be great.)

What's unfortunate about this song compared to the original, is the original displays that Angel Dust is tough and can beat the crap out of assholes that try to assault him. But he can't fight back against Valentino because afraid of him. Being an Overlord, Valentino is much more powerful than Angel Dust

Definitely gonna be hard to decide whether the original or VIP is better. Cuz both of them are such good songs and its one of my personal favs that you made. Both of them make me wanna break out and dance so bad since the original sounds like the final dance at prom or a soundtrack while this song is when the crowd goes crazy at a bar. Paranoid DJ, you are the king, the genius, the VIP. Use Me Up is one of my favorite since it depicted one of the Hellaverse’s popular and relatable character. The first version of this spider’s song was already a masterpiece, and the remix version of it makes that even more impressive. The first version makes me hope Angel Dust has a better life and this one makes me hope he can get away from Valentino so he can have a better life. To conclude, this song has so many meanings and feelings in it like all the other songs you brilliantly crafted. I hope we can see more remixed versions in the future. Oh my goodness. HOLY. HELL. Where the heck do I even begin?! Well, first off- (Belated) Happy Birthday!!! Okay- I think what I like best is that this doesn't replace the original, but it compliments it beautifully. These two songs feel complete as a pair, and each is its own beautiful reflection on Angel Dust. The first is Angel in his element- scrappy, energetic and defiant, but with one verse where Angel acknowledges his despair. This is Angel in Val's clutches- smooth, slick, captive- but with that spark from the original still inside him. And damn if this version doesn't bop SO. DAMN. HARD. I am grabbing this on Bandcamp as soon as I can. Not that it'll stop me from watching this more- your story vignettes are, as always, on point. Thank you so much, ParanoidDJ. And for an average thermonuclear device, the necessary material is plutonium or enriched uranium. Uranium, a naturally-occurring heavy metal, comes as uranium 238 or 235. Both are radioactive and will decay into other elements, given time, but only the latter can be forcibly split when neutrons are fired at it. This is the basis of a nuclear bomb. When an atom breaks apart, it gives out energy and more neutrons, which can then split other atoms. Get enough atoms splitting and you have the chain reaction needed for a bomb blast. But natural uranium overwhelmingly consists of the 238 isotope, which bounces back any neutrons striking it - useless then for a bomb. To make a bomb, natural uranium needs to be treated to concentrate the 235 isotope within it. And this is where the problems re ally begin. For every 25,000 tonnes of uranium ore, only 50 tonnes of metal are produced. Less than 1% of that is uranium 235. No standard extraction method will separate the two isotopes because they are chemically identical. Instead, the uranium is reacted with fluorine, heated until it becomes a gas and then decanted through several thousand fine porous barriers. This partially separates the uranium into two types. One is heavily uranium 235, and called "enriched" while the rest is the controversial "depleted" uranium used to make conventional weapons. To make a nuclear reactor, the uranium needs to be enriched so that 20% of it is uranium 235. For nuclear bombs, that figure needs to be nearer 80 or 90%. Get around 50kg of this enriched uranium - the critical mass - and you have a bomb. Any less and the chain reaction would not cause an explosion. You could use plutonium instead. According to Keith Barnham, a physicist at Imperial College, this is the preferred material because it makes much lighter weapons that can be mounted on to missiles. Plutonium is produced as a by-product in nuclear reactors and only around 10kg is needed for a bomb. An average power plant needs about a year to produce enough and expensive reprocessing facilities are required to extract the plutonium from the fuel. With the basic material, life gets easier. The bomb will explode once the critical mass of uranium or plutonium is brought together. So, to begin with, and to make sure that it doesn't explode in the hands of its owners, the bomb needs to keep the metal separated into two or more parts. When the weapon is in place and ready to go off, these sub-critical masses need only be thrown together - and this can be done with conventional explosives.

I love both versions, they have a unique feel that tells Angel's emotions. There was a bitter compliance in the first version and cynicism, but this is different. This is thinly guised rage, hatred, the compliance has become defiance. And has been pushed as far as he'll allow himself to be. This isn't a show, it's his life, and it's on HIS stage. Not Val's.

It could even be what Val wants. He's got to know the weak will learn at some point. In some ways it may even be because of Val pushing Angel so hard that Angel learns to have more courage. Something Val will have to take note of and respect, even if his pride won't have him admit it. If Angel didn't have the F you attitude then they might have been able to mantain control when facing Val. A cowards move is a cowards move though. So Val backhanded Angel for that. Though they did have to pause when Angel's logic was adding up.

True, but I actually love how most of the song just holds on Angel's angry face. I think it really highlights just how fed up he actually is with his situation. You can tell Angel wears sex and immaturity as a mask, but here that mask is starting to break. And they did that with one image instead of an entire animation.

In the first version, Angel Dust was very cynical, but also more violent and reckless. There was this sense that he had truly given up the fight against his demons and he just didn't care anymore. In this song, he's becoming more and more defiant. He's regaining his sense of pride, and beginning to want to rebel against Valentino. Before, he was like, "Whelp, I gave my soul to my demons and so I deserve a shitty life." Now he's more like, "Hey, wait a minute, I'm fuckin' awesome! Maybe I'll even get away from Val someday." It's not much but it's an improvement.

There is definitely a bit of a different vibe to the first one, the first one feels a lot more self-supporting, like at that moment he's not taking anyone's shit, and he's his own demon who can and will kill you if you test him.
This one is just as good for different reasons. This one feels a lot more challenging, and sassy, like he refuses to let himself sink into despair, and he will never stop fighting to get the fuck away from Val, but he will bide his time. He's never gonna let Val steal his light.

As soon as this hit the first chorus, I knew I was in for something special. The more subdued feel fits what Angel is saying there a lot better, and the thoughtful instrumentation gives more heft to the moment. But when it hits, my god it HITS. The extra percussion, reworked sounds, and incredible polish will have me listening to this for a while. Here's to a great rework, and many more bangers in the future (be that Hazbin, Deltarune, or whatever else - it'll be great.)

What's unfortunate about this song compared to the original, is the original displays that Angel Dust is tough and can beat the crap out of assholes that try to assault him. Well, first off- (Belated) Happy Birthday!!!
Okay- I think what I like best is that this doesn't replace the original, but it compliments it beautifully. These two songs feel complete as a pair, and each is its own beautiful reflection on Angel Dust. The first is Angel in his element- scrappy, energetic and defiant, but with one verse where Angel acknowledges his despair. This is Angel in Val's clutches- smooth, slick, captive- but with that spark from the original still inside him.
And damn if this version doesn't bop SO. DAMN. HARD. I am grabbing this on Bandcamp as soon as I can. Not that it'll stop me from watching this more- your story vignettes are, as always, on point.

Anyways here's the recipe on how to make a nuke: You cannot make a nuclear bomb without fissile material," says Andrew Furlong, of the Institute of Chemical Engineers. And for an average thermonuclear device, the necessary material is plutonium or enriched uranium.
Uranium, a naturally-occurring heavy metal, comes as uranium 238 or 235. Both are radioactive and will decay into other elements, given time, but only the latter can be forcibly split when neutrons are fired at it. This is the basis of a nuclear bomb.
When an atom breaks apart, it gives out energy and more neutrons, which can then split other atoms. Get enough atoms splitting and you have the chain reaction needed for a bomb blast.
But natural uranium overwhelmingly consists of the 238 isotope, which bounces back any neutrons striking it - useless then for a bomb. To make a bomb, natural uranium needs to be treated to concentrate the 235 isotope within it. And this is where the problems re ally begin. For every 25,000 tonnes of uranium ore, only 50 tonnes of metal are produced. Less than 1% of that is uranium 235. No standard extraction method will separate the two isotopes because they are chemically identical.
Instead, the uranium is reacted with fluorine, heated until it becomes a gas and then decanted through several thousand fine porous barriers. This partially separates the uranium into two types. One is heavily uranium 235, and called "enriched" while the rest is the controversial "depleted" uranium used to make conventional weapons.
To make a nuclear reactor, the uranium needs to be enriched so that 20% of it is uranium 235. For nuclear bombs, that figure needs to be nearer 80 or 90%. Get around 50kg of this enriched uranium - the critical mass - and you have a bomb. Any less and the chain reaction would not cause an explosion. You could use plutonium instead. According to Keith Barnham, a physicist at Imperial College, this is the preferred material because it makes much lighter weapons that can be mounted on to missiles.
Plutonium is produced as a by-product in nuclear reactors and only around 10kg is needed for a bomb. An average power plant needs about a year to produce enough and expensive reprocessing facilities are required to extract the plutonium from the fuel.
With the basic material, life gets easier. The bomb will explode once the critical mass of uranium or plutonium is brought together. So, to begin with, and to make sure that it doesn't explode in the hands of its owners, the bomb needs to keep the metal separated into two or more parts. When the weapon is in place and ready to go off, these sub-critical masses need only be thrown together - and this can be done with conventional explosives.

I loved this song as much as I did the first one, and it was difficult to raise the level. Use Me Up is one of my favourite songs since you made it, and now it has a twin to share its place on my list. This one feels a bit slower, less badass (just a tad) and somehow closer to how I feel Angel Dust as a character. I admit I miss the verses that aren´t in this song, but I love the new ones.
